I have been in twice in the last month and they were incredibly helpful (and friendly) and made me feel like I was a valued customer even though my visits were merely to have batteries installed in watches and to verify authenticity of a pendant I had bought elsewhere (no charge!) I also remember going into their store *years* ago with my mom and buying some of her beloved Fostoria American pieces. I had a problem a couple of years ago with another jewelry store in Salina who had damaged one of my watches by improperly placing a new battery in it, damaging the watch and then had the audacity to try to claim I had damaged it (they wouldn't do anything until I contacted the BBB and then, lo and behold, they decided to make things right.) So, no more shopping around for me, I will always be a fan of Vernon Jewelers!

Ever since, I have been able to call him for every little question I have regarding jewelry: repairing , value opinions , appraisal needs. He is quite accommodating and even makes extra trips to my home to look at my jewelry or coins etc. He recently was able to evaluate a large number of pieces for gold content and was able to get a good smelting price for me. I am super grateful about that and have come to trust his expertise and honesty. I highly recommend Christopher for all of your jewelry appraisal needs! My problem was I never got a call or voicemail. When I I call and it was ready I went right down. I did not get the man's name but was abrasive and said they tried to call back in March. I simply asks if they were any discounts. Which the man began deep belly and said for what. I asked for a military and was laughed at and told no. All an ever wanted was a call or a voice mail. But the worker laughed at and mocked, when I was nicewas really mean. What is so funny about military discount.

Then the woman who was helping us happily showed us a lot more rings based on everything I liked and disliked about each one. She was super helpful! I looked at other places to really know what I wanted, but G Thomas had the best selections and prices. After the wedding, I was able to stop in and get my rings soldered together. They were pretty quick at the deli, and the only reason the checkout took a bit was because the customer ahead of me was paying with a check.. The girl at checkout was very nice and we even had a quick conversation with her. For the first time in a long time Walmart literally had every single thing I needed in stock, which is a huge plus for me. I also noticed that during the peak Saturday hours they stationed 2 associates at the end of an aisle pretty well spread apart in the main track. These guys were just standing there greeting customers and making sure they didn't need any help! They didn't seem to have any other task to do other than customer service. I see different Walmart stores every week and I have never seen one do this, and I think it shows that the management here really values service, and I could see that the overall store morale was great. It was a Saturday and there were ALOT of people milling about in droves with no apparent sense of urgency. Which I generally love, because it makes Walmart on Saturday an excellent place for people watching! I would choose to stop at the Salina Walmart over anything else the next time I'm passing through!
