I had an…read moreunfortunate need for a highly skilled lawyer recently and I sought the guidance of a friend (another attorney). On my friends recommendation I selected Jeremy. I could not have made a better choice for myself. He has a very friendly and approachable mannerism that makes him easy to work with. His ability to gather facts quickly and accurately, then to see through to a solution is impressive. The court staff and officers like him and he is well known inside of the halls & courtrooms. His personal relationships built over decades always works to your benefit. It was also impressed to watch him skillfully negotiate on my behalf with the DAs and various Judges. You can clearly see how remarkably skilled he is at navigating the subtle nuance of the law in order to help you achieve the best possible outcome. We had to take my case all the way to trial and I could not be more satisfied with the outcome of my case. I doubt any other attorney would have been even close to his results.

At the appointment, Andy was prompt and thorough. We also realized we knew him and his (very nice) family from a prior Montessori school, which felt comforting. When I asked Andy if I could use my UCI legal insurance for his services, he said yes. So, that meant we would meet again in 2023 once I enroll in the legal insurance (done!) and the coverage is in effect. He was fine with this plan. He didn't make us feel pressured in any way. Looking forward to January 2023 to work with Andy on our trust.

I had the pleasure of working with John as my career coach for about two years. He has extensive…read moreexperience in the workforce and truly knows his stuff when it comes to navigating careers and building a plan to move forward. One thing I really appreciated was how listened to and supported I felt during our sessions--there was no rushing, which made the experience more meaningful. That said, I want to share a few considerations for anyone thinking about working with a career coach: 1. Be clear about your goals: Make sure you know exactly what you want to achieve through coaching before signing a contract. Use the consultation session to ask plenty of questions and determine if it's the right fit for you. I wish I had done this in advance. 2. Ask about resources: While this might not matter to everyone, it's worth asking what tools or resources the coach uses to support clients throughout the process. 3. Understand scheduling limitations: Most of John's availability is during evening hours (5 PM-8 PM). If you have questions or need to reach out, he usually responds during those times. For me, working early hours meant I often missed sessions or felt too tired to engage fully in meetings. While John does offer day appointments, they are only on weekends--which isn't ideal if weekends are your only time to relax. 4. Consider the value: At times, it felt like coaching came second to his regular job, as there were only small windows to schedule appointments or communicate with him. The cost of coaching was significant for me, and I made financial sacrifices to invest in his services. However, I still felt like I had to work around his schedule, which wasn't very convenient when I was the paying client. I didn't end up using my last two sessions, but that was more about my own situation. I realized that John's coaching style is better suited for someone who already has a clear idea of their career goals and just needs help with planning and execution. If you're still in the early stages of your career, I'd recommend starting with your school's career center or similar resources. However, if you're established in your career and looking for guidance to take things to the next level, John is a fantastic coach, and I highly recommend giving him a try.
