After over a year the judge finally requested I appear. Scott informed me to show up at 8. I work mornings so I took time off work. I showed up and he was not there, I tired contacting him and I was ignored. I told the bailiff my attorney never showed up and what I can do they told me to come back at 2:30pm. I returned and Scott finally showed up. He didn't acknowledge me at all until I went up to him and told him to just accept the plea because I didn't trust his services after ignoring me. Part of the plea was house arrest. He never helped with that process and when I asked him for help and that I was stressing he said he is no longer counsel post conviction. You would think after messing up and ignoring me the last court date he would try to make it up but nothing. I cannot in good faith recommend Scott for his services. He did not have my best interest and caused me more stress and headaches. I honestly should've just gone with a public defender. Thousands of dollars later I feel in a worse situation then I started. I hope this helps someone from having a similar experience

We waited 6 WEEKS for the police report, where the reporting officer found him "at fault" after interviewing JUST 1 witness and the driver, who said he was in the intersection. Not wanting to spend $$$ to retain a lawyer, we waited to see what kind of settlement amount the insurance would offer. We were then bullied by the insurance adjuster who convinced my fiancée that since he was found "at fault", they owed us nothing. We contacted a well-advertised billboard lawyer who told us we had "no case" because he had been found "at fault." Feeling dejected at a low moment of exasperation, my fiancée signed a settlement agreement of $10,000 as he was told "that's all you're going to get because you were found at fault." I literally got home :20 after he signed. I was furious and this let to a lot of fights between us. I found John Rajee of RMD Law on Yelp as a lot of reviews said he handled "difficult situations." He was kind and professional but also understood human nature and the whole dilemma we faced- trying to get a contract invalidated AND attempt to re-settle with the insurance company. He also advised me on different ways MY auto insurance could help even though my fiancée was on a bicycle. Although John consulted other colleagues to discover ways to secure a better settlement, ultimately nothing could be legally done to get the settlement contract negated :( Unfortunately, my fiancée and I had to move forward with accepting the circumstance. Through all these developments, John kept advising us and was professional and thorough. He advised me as an experienced counselor and also just an honest guy who took the time to reassure me that basically it wasn't the end of the world. Frankly, I was very very angry with my fiancée over his moronic decision to sign, and speaking to John just honestly helped me move past my anger and put the whole bad situation behind me. I would absolutely recommend John and his colleagues to anyone seeking legal advisement, and I will definitely refer him to friends and family. Even if you just need an answer or two, PLEASE contact RMD before signing anything, taking action, or accepting offers. They absolutely will help!

I was with a different law firm at the beginning of my case. A "bigger" more "famous" law firm that specialized in workers comp. After the initial consultation with them I had to constantly track them down and no one would get back to me. They filed a claim full of mistakes, some as obvious the date of injury or address, and never fixed it even after I reached out to them multiple times. I was very disappointed and felt a bit hopeless until Ryan came along. He had to work backwards and fix the mistakes that my previous law firm made as well as fight the insurance company and employer. I highly recommend his services. Every time we walked into court he was prepared. You could tell everyone there knew him and respected him, from the court staff to the other attorneys. This lack of transparency disrupted my planning and wasted my time, as I had no way to prepare financially. I want to start by saying I truly appreciated the time Kelly McMillan spent with me during our initial consultation. I took everything she said seriously and stopped looking for other attorneys because I was seriously considering retaining her, at least for my child support case, which I found reasonable at $2,500. Kelly McMillan actively encouraged and requested additional time to discuss my custody case. She said, "I would really like an opportunity to speak with you further regarding your custody case," and she made it feel like we were working together. Her tone and framing made it seem generous and professional, almost as if this follow-up would be complimentary. I agreed, assuming this meeting would be handled properly. However, fees for that meeting were never disclosed upfront, and I was only informed of a potential fee late the evening before the scheduled morning appointment, around 8 PM, without specifying an amount. This left me with no way to plan or prepare financially, and it is unreasonable to expect a client to guess or assume costs. Scheduling a meeting this way -- after actively encouraging it -- is not standard professional practice, and no client should be expected to interpret generosity as a hidden fee. In my experience speaking with many attorneys over the past several years, any attorney who charges for additional consultations clearly communicates that upfront before scheduling. Some offer additional time for free -- not guaranteed, but I have taken advantage of those opportunities in the past. Kelly McMillan did not disclose any cost, despite explicitly offering additional time, which disrupted my planning and wasted my time. I want to emphasize that in any professional service -- including my own experience in the service and beauty industry for over 12 years, dealing with high-ticket clients -- no appointment is ever scheduled or confirmed without the client knowing the exact cost, and in many cases, a deposit is required. Scheduling a meeting without clear disclosure of fees, as occurred here, is unprofessional and creates unnecessary disruption. After I explained all of this to her, she disagreed with these facts and essentially claimed that it was my responsibility to assume a cost and "know" that all attorneys charge for second consultations, which is unreasonable. This was gaslighting, dismissing my reasonable expectations and attempting to make me feel at fault for her failure to communicate. She then handled the situation unprofessionally by ending our correspondence with a "goodbye and good luck," rather than addressing the concerns I raised. While I appreciated her initial consultation, this lack of transparency, last-minute fee notification, her repeated framing of her time as "generous," and her gaslighting response made the experience unprofessional. I would caution anyone considering her services to clarify fees and expectations clearly before scheduling any follow-up meetings.

In other words, there was no sales pitch, just thorough, honest information. By the time I got off the phone I felt much more at ease and knew I would be in good hands. Mr. William Duffy handled the case at the courthouse and actually made it a really easy and relatively stress-free experience (as stress-free as a DUI hearing can be of course). He told me exactly what to expect, what to do, and where to go- even walking me to the different offices so I wouldn't have to wander around aimlessly trying to find the tiny signs for each office. He told me ahead of time that he had another cases to manage at other courtrooms but he always told me where he would be and how I could get a hold of him, and he was always there when it was necessary (in front of the judge, etc.). I feel like I got a pretty good deal considering my case involved an accident. Would the outcome have been different without hiring a lawyer? There's no way for me to know, but regardless, I'm glad I did. The peace of mind was worth it. I can't imagine the stress and anxiety I would have gone through without having such a reliable and communicative team on my side. I hope none of my friends ever find themselves in my situation but if they do, I will absolutely recommend this law office!
