Smoothie signs on wall
Denise H.

Food was good for the price. But there is no AC, the room is very small and cramped inside. There's only room for 4 tables and it doesn't feel the most clean. They have a wide selection of smoothies on the menu and on the wall. They didn't have syrup for my pancakes. Overall an ok experience, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place.

Great big, flavorful sandwiches and juices.

We spent two afternoons walking through the "Centro" of Cabo. Quieter than other parts, we noticed Rico, sitting near the corner of Lazaro Cardenas and Vincente Guerrero. It's tiny, maybe 6 or 7 tables. You walk in, menus on the counter, 2 large menus on the wall, featuring their impressive array of fresh juices concoctions and smoothies. This meal we had tortas on our minds, and they didn't disappoint. I had the vegetarian and my partner had the Potosina. Both were large, flavorful and filling, and prices were downright ridic. Both big tortas was just around $6, and the salad was about the same, but the perfect size to split. All their juices looked amazing too, but not this visit. We'd gladly return for their breakfast specials of 55 pesos. A small, family-run diner that's a breath of fresh air. Bring cash, but it's worth it.

While staying in Cabo we searched up Breakfast restaurants and this one was walking distance from where we were staying. My husband and I grew up in a Mexican household and know what traditional food taste like. This has traditional written all over, starting from their delicious juices, to their wonderful food, down to their table cloths. Those table cloths you can find at my abuelitas house. We ordered a torta, which did not disappoint. My husband was amazed how huge it was compared to the tortas we are used to in the US. I ordered huevos rancheros and I loved the fact that it came with a portion of chilaquiles, knowing that chilaquiles is a whole separate dish it self. We also ordered 2 orange juices and LOVED them! Natural orange juice is always so good but taste even better when they do it right in front of you! Overall experience was great! Would definitely come again on our next trip!

Yummy smoothie!!

Fresh smoothies on a hot day! Made to order and pretty cheap. Not much to it - if you want to cool down with some fresh fruit smoothies - this'll do.

I got the Mexican Breakfast (Your choice of meat- I got chorizo, chillaquilles, and scrambled eggs); it was SOOOOO GOOD! It was the perfect portions and it was really flavorful. They also ensured to answer any questions or curiosities about the items off the menu which I appreciate! Avocado Smoothie (5/5) - Thick and not overly sweetened. They give a lot more than the fruit smoothies and I asked for a to go cup to take the rest with me. Mexican Breakfast (3.5/5) - Got it with chorizo and it comes with red sauce and a fried egg. The portion was fair and was filling, however, it was overall average! Matthew's Breakfast Sandwich (4/5) - Open-faced toast and is filling as well with potatoes. Comes with bacon, eggs, chicken and melted cheese on top. This was really good with hot sauce! Overall, Café de Ciudad is somewhere I would go to avoid a wait. It might not be the most aesthetic, but if you're looking for a brunch to get you going, this is a solid spot.

I'll tell you right now if you're anywhere near Cabo and you skip Los Tres Gallos, you messed up…read more This place sits right in downtown but once you walk inside boom beautiful courtyard, lights hanging everywhere, and a mariachi band that doesn't just play music... they attack your table with joy. I'm talking the kind of band that makes you want to order another margarita just so you can clap along like you suddenly grew up in Guadalajara. And the food? Real-deal Mexican classics mole, enchiladas, chile rellenos big flavors coming out of a kitchen that knows what it's doing. Now let's talk about the chips and salsa, because I didn't come here to play games. Some restaurants give you chips like they're doing you a favor three chips and a little salsa like it's a museum sample. Not here. These chips show up ready to party. Crunchy, warm, and the salsa hits you like, "Hola amigo, welcome to flavor." Add the incredible service and that mariachi band floating through the courtyard and suddenly dinner turns into a whole event. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my Cabo trip and my socks? Yeah... they're still somewhere on the floor from those chips and salsa.

Environment was nice up until the flies swarm your food and staff does nothing about it!…read more Happened on 2026-04-12 at 6pm, lovely evening, the restaurant has a nice environment and food came out quick. But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.

At the entrance, there's a place to donate to their dog rescue campaign. can't tell you how much that means to me and how cute these little little dogs are! you have to stop by even if just to feed the dogs bacon, although the octopus appetizer is the best I've ever had!!

However, the second visit was completely different. As soon as we sat on the front row loungers, the server looked unhappy and told us there was a $40 minimum per person. I was like I didn't hear anything about that the day before, but I said okay since we were planning to have lunch anyway. Later, I noticed some white customers sitting in the same area, so I asked if they were told about the minimum. They all said no. When I asked the server why only my family was told, he looked nervous and said he needed to check with the manager. That didn't make sense--if it's a policy, why check? When he came back, he then told the other (white) customers about the $40 minimum, and several of them left right away. It felt like the manager realized they had no choice but to enforce the rule after I questioned it. The whole experience felt very unfair and uncomfortable.
