I was seen immediately when I walked in despite it being mid-day on a Saturday. The tailor clearly knew what he was doing and was able to suggest solutions to help fix all of the issues I was worried about. I was very impressed by how quickly and expertly he made the necessary pins, marks, and suggestions. When I picked up the dress they had me try it to see whether more modifications were needed. It had 2 layers. They told me it would take 3 weeks. This brought me up until the day before the wedding. I started to get nervous and called to check in on my dress. (In their defense I shouldn't have waited so long) They told me to come in and it would be done. It was not finished when I got there. I went the next day and my mistake-I forgot to bring my shoes so I tried it on at home. They had only shortened 1 layer! I had to bring it in and have it remeasured and shortened. I was getting nervous as the wedding was approaching but they got it done. They did good work the second time, but I won't go back. I think they take on too much and it impedes their work and the organization of their place.

I am a classical musician who performs a lot, so after my old black suit started to deteriorate, I decided to try out Valentin's for a higher quality suit. His in-house brand is fantastic in its quality and value. I am tall and thin (6'1", 165 lbs.), and the more "European" cut fit perfectly. He really knows what he is doing, and is accommodating to all sizes and budgets. After this, I also bought a navy blue suit from him, which I asked to have shipped to my apartment in Baltimore. However, due to covid, shipping was delayed. Valentin called me personally at every step of the shipping process to let me know where my suit was and when he estimated it would arrive. When it arrived, I didn't even need to have it pressed, as it was clearly packed by someone who knew what they were doing.
