It developed a problem (which perhaps ) could have been at the June 18 service. On Monday I explained the situation to Gideon (The Manager) who was extremely courteous and professional. On Monday afternoon I dropped the car in. At 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon I received a text from KMartAuto to say the vehicle was ready to be picked up. This morning I collected the car. There was significant work done for which there was no charge. Full marks to Gideon and his team. A very satisfied customer. No guesses as to who will be doing ongoing R&M for my family's vehicles. Did you know that the law states that tyres are illegal when they are worn down far enough to show the tread wear indicator bars in a band across the tread? I didn't realise I could get FINED for it. Also, I'm a girl. I took the friendly warning onboard and began the hunt for new tyres ASAP. I have no idea when it comes to tyres. I don't know a lot when it comes to cars in general. I didn't want to be ripped off just because I don't have great tyre knowledge. Still, time was running out, as I had a four-hour road trip fast approaching. I submitted a quote request online at http://tyrepower.com.au, because tyres. Within the hour, Scott at Morningside had called back to discuss my options based on my car's make and model. He told me about two types of tyres, and included a cheaper option. All options were cheaper than I'd paid for past tyres, and he didn't push any of them, letting me make the call. Scott squeezed my car in the next morning (even offering me a lift to work after I'd dropped the car off), and had the new tyres on and the wheels balanced just over an hour later.
