Called up, arranged a time, dropped in, explained the problem to the bloke on hand and waited in the office with Rick. Had a nice chat and not even 15 mins from arriving here the problem was diagnosed as a shoddy tyre valve, it was replaced and the car was ready. Said the valve is worth peanuts anyway so the service was free. Between blokes that know what theyre doing and an honest approach to charging you for work, at least I know where to get sorted for real next time. Reccommended.

From them I found out that it was my front tyres and that the back tyres get shifted to the front so new tyres can get put on the back (or it could be the other way round-I really should be blonde). They seemed completely unphased by my lack of car knowledge and did the job on the spot with no booking and no hint of the patronising attitude I usually get from such places. As we only had 1 car and 2 kids, I really needed to book it in for a service it was long due for. I thought of all the regular places I took my previous cars and then I thought, why not try Ultra Tune... they had a shop in the Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre car park and was nice and convenient, close to where I lived. I rang them up and spoke to Shane the owner, he was friendly, very helpful and was very up front about the costs of the service and what the process would be. So book my Lamby (car pet name) in I said. The same day I rang, my car was booked in. The car was serviced, wheels were shined and the interior was vacuumed. I picked the car up without any delays, they rang me to let me know what was happening and they rang me to let me know my car was ready to be picked up (simple things like this usually have gone overlooked in my past experience). I picked my car up and Shane was really professional, told me he ran the Ultra Tune in Darra and had waited 15 years to get the spot in the shopping centre, only moved in 6 months ago. He was down to earth and the prices were very reasonable. The battery we had to purchase was $100 cheaper than what RACQ had charged me previously and the service was a good $100 cheaper than the next quote I got. The workshop was clean, well looked after and everything was new. I am definetely impressed with the personal service I received, the friendly attitude and the efficiency of the servicing of my car. I am definetely taking my car back there the next time I need to, and maybe I can learn a few pointers. Plus, I am a big supporter of local business. A wheelin' good time.

Because of the national brand accountability is a certain. The only problem I ever have is trying to get in for the urgent stuff as they are usually booked out for a couple of days in advance, this means you do have to keep your wits about you and not expect them to drop everything for your emergency. Excellent clean workshop with people who know what they are talking about and not trying to rip you off. A full list of works is supplied with every invoice showing you exactly what was done, they also call you should you require any further work before proceeding for acceptance of cost associated. Went for a simple tire change. Car has splitters on front bumper which they promptly broke when one…read moreof the employees took the car for a drive. The entrance to their premises has a moderately steep change in gradient which was the likely culprit. This could have been easily avoidable had they taken the time and care to simply angle the vehicle appropriately and go slowly when exiting their driveway (as I was able to do quite effortlessly the previous day and as I do at various other places). No real apologies on site, merely that the splitters were already a bit loose and fell off 'somewhere in the parking lot'. Force of the impact on the splitter also damaged the paint on the underlying bumper. Luckily the splitters were only affixed with double sided tape meaning that the impact detached them as opposed to putting more stress and potentially causing more damage to bumper. Tyre change itself was as expected but really not worth it if you factor in the extra cost you'll have to spend when they recklessly drive your car and cause paint damage. Would avoid this place.
