They are terrible. I called at 9:45 on a Saturday morning to get a cab at 10:30. Told it was no problem. At 10:35 I called them. Was told they were backed up and it would be 15 minutes. 15 minutes later I called them back and I was told they were super backed up and that they would be there soon. Called them 15 minutes later and was told they would get there when they get there because they were busy. Screw them. Terry's Taxi doesn't fuck people over like Rick's. read more

i can't believe I even paid for this service. It usually costs about $8.00 for me to get home with Tiger Taxi, but it cost about $20 with this service and I had the added benefit of having a driver that was extremely high on drugs the whole time. When I demanded my money back for the lack of ride home, he tore up my driveway. I would less than recommend this company and call Tiger Taxi instead. read more

I was in Columbia this past weekend and happened upon Rick after a night out downtown. He was a good driver and got us to our destination promptly! I cannot vouch for whether he is fast about pick-ups, but he said his business was only a couple of months old. He seemed enthusiastic for clients/business. read more

This taxi service is terrible. I called at 7:40 pm to get a pick up from Heather Ridge to go downtown. I included my address in the instructions. They said they would arrive by 7:55; 15 minutes. They called at 8:17 to tell us they were here, and we had reservations to make. We went downstairs to meet them and they weren't there. We called and found out they went to KELLEY RIDGE, the entirely wrong apartment. They said it would take an additional 15 minutes to get to us. We called Taxi Terry and they picked us up less than 10 minutes after we called them! read more

Drivers and dispatchers are extremely friendly, and pickups are right on time. My only complaint is the cost--when I used them last week it was $20, not including tip, to go 3.5 miles. read more

OK, Rick's Taxi kinda sucks. They come fast because there is not a lot of business, but it is super expensive for no reason. I did not get into a bar, so I got a taxi home from downtown to the Cottages and it was almost $20 for a single person; are you kidding me? The fare was already $3.50 before I got into the car. I also received service from them last summer for a transportation of luggage to another place and the driver started the meter without telling me when I got my stuff from the third floor of a dorm. It was already $10 before we left. Excuse my language, but F this taxi service. I would definitely not recommend this service unless you absolutely needed a minivan; the only good part about this taxi service. PLEASE don't call Rick's taxi. read more

Twice I have experienced poor service from this company. Once, the woman who was driving the taxi appeared to be under the influence of some kind of drug to the point where my boyfriend asked if she was alright to drive a vehicle. The next experience was tonight when I called them, they told me 10-15 minute wait, which is reasonable, but 15 mins later she called me back, I missed it by less than a minute and the woman informed me that she had picked up someone else and it would be another 20 mins. Instead I called Taxi Terry's and they were there within 10 mins, before I could even finish writing this complaint. I do not recommend this taxi service. read more

I'm originally from a small town so I've never had to use a taxi before bc I could walk where I needed to go but now I live in Columbia and called for pricing on getting a taxi to take me 4 miles. I was informed that it cost $3.10 just to get into the taxi and then $3.15 PER MILE. I'm a single mother of an infant who only has a part time job and in college.... you think people can really afford that?? And I only needed a taxi to go take my final in college bc my battery in my car died on me yesterday... I can drive an hour back home and back to Columbia on that much money! read more

If I could give this no stars I would. I asked for a taxi to be at my hotel at 9:30 am an hour ahead of time by 9:35 they still had not arrived so I called the service. The man who answered said he was caught up in traffic and would be there in 5 minutes. 9:45 ( had a ten am meeting I needed to set up for) and still had not arrived. Pulled in around 9:50. Told him I just needed to go up the road about a half mile and he took me. Once we arrived I asked how much I owed he said $5. So I gave him my corporate card that I am required to use for all business expenses and he says they don't accept it and I said sir I used your service from the airport yesterday and you accepted it then. He raised his voice and became aggressive repeating they would not accept it. So I searched for my personal card and gave it to him. All the while he's trying to still argue about my corporate card and I said sir I don't have time to argue with you please just run my card. He said I don't have fucking time to argue with you either threw my debit card back at me and said keep your $5 and get out. I already had the door open because he was being aggressive and I was ready to jump if necessary and so I did. He got out of the car and said close the damn door you bitch as he slammed the door and yelled don't call us back! As if I would. Terrible scary experience. I would not recommend them in the slightest. read more

I have used several times, but won't again. Needed a cab in a pinch and the dispatcher said they had someone on the way. When the cab failed to show at the agreed upon time I had to call them to be told that the cab coming to get me had supposedly broken down and that I should call another cab company. I ended up having to wait another 30 minutes for the other cab after waiting 10-15 minutes beyond the agreed upon time for Ricks. Go with Terry's; more reliable vehicles and better customer service. read more

Rip off! Way too expensive- 75.00 to go 17 miles! Dark back roads made ride longer! Creepy that someone was sleeping in front seat next to driver - awkward, unsafe especially when driver was into game on radio and costs more than any other! Do not use!!!! read more

I used Rock's Taxi at the Lake of the Ozarks - the credit card charge says Rock's Taxi Columbia MO. They charged me for people I didn't know who jumped out of the cab and charged and I had a duplicate charge on my card. Yeah....don't use them. read more

i called them to get a taxi home from the grocery store, they said they would be there in less than an hour. after an hour we tried calling them and got a voice mail tried several more times and was told someone grabbed our taxi. not their fault but they said a new taxi would be there within 15 min, after fifteen minutes i called and they said it was going to be 15 to 30 min longer. so after almost an hour and a half of waiting we called taxi terrys and he was there in less than ten read more

Never using Rick's Taxi ever again. I called them and asked for a Taxi and they told me it would be about 20 minutes which is understandable. I then waited outside for about 30 minutes until I decided to call again. The dispatcher had the nerve to tell me "we just picked up from your location 15-20 minutes ago" as if that had anything to do with me. They then said they would get me a taxi immediately. 15 minutes later (a total of waiting 45 minutes) the taxi finally arrives but at that point I already missed my bus and now I'm royally screwed. After the fact, I called to personally "thank" them for their services and the dispatcher wanted to talk about how the taxis were going here and there and he couldn't get one to me. Even if that's true (which I don't believe judging that a taxi showed up 15 minutes after I called them the second time) then why didn't they do the responsible thing and recommend I call another service? Besides that, the rates are completely ridiculous. It cost about $15 to go 2 miles. The only good thing I have to say is that the drivers are very nice and very helpful. Anyways, thanks Rick's Taxi. Now I'm stranded in a foreign state, foreign city and I'm completely broke. Thanks for completely screwing me over. read more
