There were easy to communicate with for setting up service for my boat and where able to compete all the maintenance on the boat when they said they would. Rick's has been my go to for my service for 11+years. Bought my bought in 2013, reached out for recommendations and Rick's was the one I chose. The decision wasn't due to logistics as they are 50 miles away from home, it was for the service and quality they offer. I still remember what was told to me from the start. "When you pick your boat up in the spring, I don't want to see you until the fall". This has stood true since the beginning, something you don't see when or hear of in the boating world. Fast forward to new owners, leadership at the facility. I trusted Rick to repower my boat with new motors, removing motors still in great condition due to service provided over the years but was time. Ruben now running the shop and Stephanie behind the counter managing Operations has been a great transition. Responsible, reliable and there to answer the calls whether for service or just a question. I will say behind the counter was bumpy for a bit but Steph stepped in and is killing it like a seasoned veteran of the business, getting you in for appointment, serviced and on the water as quick as possible. If it's service outside of their scope, upholstery for example, she lines you up with the proper person to get it done. What I like, 1 STOP SHOP! Rick, enjoy retirement. Been a customer of Rick's Outboard for about 5+ years now and I have always been super pleased with the level of professionalism and work done by the shop. From my 22 foot Trophy to my current 27 foot Rinker, Rick has always provided top notch service. Recently this past weekend i was once again blown away with Rick's generosity by lending me a spare trailer so i could pull my boat out of the water due to hurricane Henri. My trailer is currently there waiting on parts for about 6 months now due to all this shortage and shipping situation we have been dealing with, so Rick came through allowing me to get my boat out of harm's way. Anything but 'Sales, Service and Satisfaction Guaranteed'. We brought our motor in to have them look at a small gas leak we couldn't locate where it was coming from. We called multiple times to get updates and were told multiple times "we'll call you back", well we never heard from them until we called again. 4 weeks later, we show up...$500+ bill! When we really pushed back on how expensive the charges were, they said that the mechanic accidentally didn't swipe out for an hour an a half lunch and reduced the bill by $100. We had also asked about the trim and tilt which was stuck when we picked it up, and the mechanic laughed and said "you'll never get that free" and quoted us $1300. Of course after the lack of communication and expensive labor bill (which may have been understandable if they would've communicated the process and time) we weren't spending any more money at Rick's... and after getting it home, we were able to free it ourselves with the right tools. We understand boats are expensive, but we all want honest service. Be aware. read more

As a full time charter captain and commercial fisherman my boat is my most important tool. Ricks saved my vacation!!!!! We come down to our summer house for only a few weeks a year so when the engine on our skiff would not stay running we brought it to ricks. They were able to repair the issue which was that the carburetor was fouled. We will be bringing our skiff and our big boat for winter service to make sure we have no issues next summer. read more
