I feel bad giving this "Business" 1 star, because to me they do not even deserve that. In my case I…read morehave a dryer that runs on LP (Liquid Propane) ; in short it needs to be converted back to NG (Natural Gas) for my new home. For this to happen I had to do quite a bit of research myself, eventually I found I needed an Orifice, Spring, and Limiter. Out of the two possible companies that could order this part for me. (Sears or Michigan Temperature Supply) I chose Michigan Temperature Supply. First off. I went into the business on a Monday morning, told the man at the counter what I needed. We searched through his inventory on the computer and found not only did he not have it but we would have to order it. Which is totally fine. At least I finally was getting my dryer fixed. We found the parts and sent for them, same day; as I would expect since I paid that very day and it was still in the morning. I was told the parts would be in on Thursday, Which was even better. So to me, .... Next Tuesday, a regular 5-7 day shipping, at the LATEST would've been fine but I was getting them 5 days ahead. Not only did I not receive them that Thursday, but the next Thursday. So exactly 10 days after I placed the initial order the parts came in. Which was still okay to me. Since I also received a call from MTP on Tuesday stating the "Spring I ordered was in but the Orifice wasn't." So to me 10 days, at $6.95 Shipping with two of the days being Sat. and Sun. was Okay. I was a little irritated in myself because it took so long to find the parts, but it was whatever. The parts were here. When I went in to pick them up, I was told I had to wait for "Charlie" to talk to me, that he had to order another part, which I was also okay with since I talked to him earlier in the week about it. He explained he worked with dryers for a long time and had run into this before, that I didn't need the spring but since it was a special order I said "Forget it I'll replace it so it is new." He also told me I needed a Cap Limiter. So trusting the man, I ordered the part he said I needed. He came out and told me that the "Initial" orifice was STILL not in but he had one in stock that I needed. Which to me meant " You ordered a spring and Orifice for $37.33 with shipping and taxes that you didn't need." He already had one in stock!!??!??? Why am I ordering parts and waiting almost two weeks for them. When you have everything I need right here. Then at the very end, he tried to ring me up for all three parts when I already paid for two of them. Proceeded to tell me "I was wrong" only to have him go in the back, get the right paperwork and tell me sorry you overpaid.... the limiter I didn't order that cost 19.50 was only going to cost 13.25. I paid the man his money and told him Thank you. He told me " He should not be trying to fix stuff from behind the counter" as well ... I said "Have a good one!" ... and this is the most IRRITATING part of the whole thing to me.. You Run a Business. An actual Legitimate Business. Whether or not you like the customer is irrelevant, you are in business because of them. You serve a sole purpose of providing an obscure line of materials only a handful of people know they need. Bottom line ... When a "Customer" says "Thank you" "Have a good one!" After a bad experience.... the least you can do is respond in the same... " He should not be trying to fix stuff from behind the counter" were the last words to come out of his mouth before he turned his back and silently walked away from the counter. Very, very unprofessional, Rude, and not very timely. If you can avoid this place. It IS in your best interest to do so. -Satisfied Customer
