This company made two trips to fix an intermittent no heat boiler issue on one zone only of a two…read morezone residential system. The first trip I will give them a pass as the issue was not present. Next day I called again with the same no heat issue. A different tech showed up. Fixed a couple of issues with the boiler he thought might be the problem, but not without first burning up and repairing some wires, and still no heat on one zone. The two identical thermostats were proven to work by switching them from zone to zone, the boiler will work OK on the intermittent zone when forced on, but no or intermittent communication between stat and boiler in one zone. I suggested possible faulty wiring between stat and boiler in that zone but was dismissed. Tech left with hot wires pulled from the wall and dangling from the ceiling in the basement, a non functioning thermostat, and still no heat. In the process of diagnosing the issue different wires were shorted and a transformer burned up, which was replaced. The tech insisted the smart stat had "a delay in the cloud", or it was some microchip malfunction in the thermostat, or there was some mystery thermostat setting causing a multiple hour delay between call for heat and boiler start. These thermostats do not REQUIRE an online connection to function, they work just like any other digital thermostat. It was suggested I needed a "senior technician" from somewhere in the immediate area to diagnose the problem. I will definitely have a different company continue to diagnose the problem. Bottom line, the situation is worse after the second visit than before they came. Poor Consumers Power for having to pay these guys.

Recently, we had service to restore heat at a rental, and when I received two bills for a return visit within 24 hours due to still no heat, I called their office to inquire. Jessica was argumentative with me, and very rude. She blamed me for not immediately buying a filter even tho she had not explained that it was the cause of the problem after the initial visit. There was no apology for her lack of communication to me. Again, so rude to me on the phone and kept arguing that I should have known I needed to put in a filter or the furnace would not work. Wilds has lost a loyal customer. We will never do business with them again.

I called about a water heater quote, never mentioned a time or day or was not allowed to state what issue we have. In HER words "Call Lowes or Home Depot. We are a week out. Get someone else." Simple for me. I will not only go somewhere else, but I will recommend everyone else to go elsewhere too. I have a new home build this summer and had hoped they might like to id on the job. The recommendation was valid - I called in the morning and an experienced plumber was there that afternoon. Great communication - called to say he was running behind and arrived in a timely manner. Also he was knowledgeable and courteous, and the kitchen faucet in and working with no leaks just as it should be with proper service. We will be calling on Carey with any future plumbing issues.

At first I thought I could fix it, but the price and service they offered with a new Trane HVAC, I couldn't pass up. Airworks crew was prompt at 9 am and had it all installed in about 4 hrs. Cleaned up, removed old furnance. Crew waste no time at all. Constantly at the job, until completed. Airworks, receives messages and responds promptly. I am so pleased with them, I had Airworks replace my tank water heater that was getting old to a Navien tankless water heater. New experience to get use to. I know I will be pleased. Owner, Pat and Derick, on the spot. As well as the crew Greg, Austin, Austin and Zack if I forgot anyone, sorry. These guys are the best workers I have had . BTW: Airworks didn't push a sale! They came highly recommended by our now-retired remodeling contractor who has done several projects for us. He still uses R Factor for his own buildings. The on-site crew was excellent. They cleaned up the property every evening before they left for the day and I never found so much as a nail after they left (it helps that they use a big rolling magnet). The crew would take time to explain to us what they were doing and what was wrong with the current roof (part of one roof had dimensional shingles that had been installed in the wrong pattern). Another part of the structure had sheathing boards that were over 100 years old; some boards had damage that they quickly fixed at no extra cost. They also made sure that my weather station and weather vane were reinstalled in the proper orientation. If they left at the end of the day and a section of roof wasn't completed, they would tarp the unfinished section to avoid any damage if rain should occur, even when precipitation wasn't forecast. In all fairness, three of the four workers were the offspring of the company owners, so they knew their family reputation was at stake. The owners were excellent, also. Ted and Trisha were very good at explaining what needed to be done and in helping pick appropriate colors. Before the project started we decided to change the drip edge color; Ted made a special trip out with samples to make sure we had the proper color. There was good communication throughout the project. We had a quick response for our request for a bid. If we had questions and they were not immediately available, they would return our call promptly. I highly recommend R Factor of the North and would definitely use them for future projects. Finally, if you are concerned about some of the older, negative reviews on other sites, know that those reviews reflect the previous owner. Ted and Trisha purchased the business in January 2022; reviews before that date should be taken with a grain of salt.
