I've always enjoyed this club but don't often go as it's downtown. Parking is always a pain and just getting into and if downtown, sucks. It's a smaller club I've always known as LaBoheme. I danced here for a year a lifetime ago. I liked working here as it was a smaller club and atmosphere was more laid back. Plus I married a waitress that worked here and it was a great relationship. Until it wasn't. This recent visit was the first since it rebranded as Rick's Cabaret. The decor and architecture is still reminiscent of the Moulin Rouge. Old World, colorful and very cool. It could be 1800s Paris or Nawlins in there. The door staff were pleasant and the bartender and our waitress were perky and fun. Our drinks were mixed well and the girls cycling through the stage were beautiful, fit and fun to watch. They were interactive and very very sexy. All in all, it was a first rate evening at a strip club. I still like the smaller club feel and the staff really makes it fun. The girls actually enjoyed dancing for other girls and that's a huge plus for us girls. Sometimes girls in strip clubs ignore other girls and/or act annoyed by us. Not here. Do not use credit cards in this place. They will scam you and tell you that you are signing for a much lesser amount. They routinely avoid giving receipt copies. unce you get home and check what you have been charged you will wonder how it could have happened. they guide you through the process of signing multiple credit card charges without truthfully telling you what your signing and its to dark to see the things you are signing. avoid going into this place with credit cards. you will regret it. read more

I had been at clinicals since 0630. I was tired, exhausted, really... I just sat down on my couch and looked at the clock: 1900. She then called me and informed me that the La Boheme downtown was having "March Midget Mayhem" and midget strippers in honor of St Patty's Day and that Bridget the Midget (former porn star and aspiring actress) would be the feature entertainer... I had been to La Boheme once when it first opened and was treated to sub-par girls and three N.W.A. songs in the hour and a half I had been there. So, I hoped the midget experience would be better. We arrived at a little before nine, when they said the "show" was to begin. We grabbed a seat and ordered some food, I can't remember what exactly but I remember that it was better than I thought it would be. The girls were far more attractive than they had been on my first visit (with the exception of a dancer who, in all seriousness, had to be at least 55 years-old). My buddy and I came in town to watch Rockies and Broncos games for my 21st birthday. We came here on a Thursday because it was the only bar in the area open past 11. Weird right?? Dress code was reasonable, I had athletic shorts and they said those weren't allowed so we went to our hotel which was nearby and changed to jeans. But we went and had a great time. I had been to a few strip clubs and my buddy had never been, so I taught him the ropes lmao. But he had a good time but he had just smoked a J so he was being really laid back and chilling and didn't want any dances (has a girlfriend too). But then Friday we had one too many beers at the Rockies game and made a friend there. We invited him to LB and he wanted to come. So we get to our hotel and change into jeans again and head to the club. We get in without paying a cover and our buddy we had just met had a good time as he had never been to a strip club either. Hey Yelpers, I have traveled alot, and been to many places similiar to this. But let me give you piece of advice, avoid this place. The staff is a joke. They act as if they are doing you a favor, and that you should show them some sort of respect. The staff are rude and arrogant thugs. Its is as if the owner went out and hired all the local thugs of Denver to run his establishment and told them to treat the customers as terrible as possible. I ordered a whiskey and coke, the bartender put about a drop whiskey in a glass of coke. I called him on it, and told him i wasnt paying for a glass of coca cola. He said fine then im not serving you. i just walked away. Im not a sucker and wont be treated as one. They really hate it when you call them on thier weak drinks and surly attitudes, which I did everytime I saw them scamming me or talking down to me. What a joke this place is. Hi. I'm 28 years old and have never been to a strip club before. UNTIL NOW. Thanks La Bohème for popping my stripper cherry. I am an observer by nature, so these eyes were everywhere. Forget conversations, I just could't pay attention to anyone/thing for very long. I can only assume this is a higher end strip club, hence the title. I did find it odd that women had to pay $10 cover just like men to get in. But hey, what do I know? Why was I here do you ask? Two words: Bachelor party. Yep. And since when are girls invited to bachelor parties? When it's your cousin, you don't live in the same state anymore, and he insists. Sure, why not....we were able to walk to this "cabaret" from our hotel (Hyatt Regency). It's across the street (literally) from Embassey Suits where the party boys were staying. They've got several different stages with seating around, comfy seats and couches too. I observed ladies of all shapes and sizes. Most of them made me feel good about my body, others had us wondering if their tits were real or not. All the guys said these ladies were much better looking than most strip clubs they've been to. I'd say they were all average and above. I was under the impression you can't touch the ladies, but you can, or really they can touch you. My cousin's dad kept buying him dances, where he would proceed to a more private area for a song or 2 and sometimes 10. According to others, one dance (this is the length of one song) is $50. Apparently this is much higher than Texas (so I hear). We also got him a 4 teamer of girls (each girl was hand picked), and for $100 he sat in a chair on stage and these ladies gyrated on him for one song. They made a hell of a lot more money when they did this to a chick patron, for fairly obvious reasons. What a joke... This is less of a gentleman's club and more like the Special Olympics. They tried to charge me $4 for a club soda. That's $4 for water no matter how you look at it. The "bartender's" were snippy and rude I suspect this is their only tending gig because they are terrible. Look, I know this is a strip joint and a friend was in town from the UK and wanted to go. My favorite part was when the "bartender" over served a gentleman and the threatened to keep his ID and credit card until he signed AND TIPPED his CC slip. I've been in the hospitality business my entire adult life. I can count on one hand the times I haven't tipped someone no matter how bad they were. This girl didn't even deserve a thank you. She was far more concerned in making shots for herself and her friends rather than serving a single guest for over 10 minutes. I've been to the 3 main gentleman's clubs her in Denver and what I like most about La Boheme is the casual comfort level. There is no sense of being accosted by half nekid women. There are lots of couples and women hanging out, outside of the usual bachelor parties and college aged guys still under the impression these girls really like them. And compared to the other strp-bars, these chicks are way hotter than Shotguns or Diamond, unless you like dirty and old (respectively speaking). read more

Was there in town on 3/28/11. I know it was a Monday night, but was out with some co-workers after a conference event and was up for some continued entertainment. It was around 12am and we did not expect to get hit with a cover so late (I think it was $10)..The cashier was very nice to look at so the expectation was set pretty high when we walked in. We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar and I was scratching my head, wonder where is the alcohol, based on what we paid. The bartender was very helpful (as they should be) when asking about the show and who was good and not so good. As we sat down at the stage (which the place had 2 of them) we got a comfortable with our drinks and the enviroment. My buddy pulled out his stack of bills on the table and I had stack of bills in my hand and tossed them on stage to get some attention, being that we where the only guys sitting close to the dance stage. Lets me share that after about 3-4 songs/30-40 minutesnot one dancer came over to provide any entertainment. We got more attention from the cocktail waitress than the dancers, needless to say the cocktail waitress got a few tips from me without having to bring any drinks..We decided to leave after sitting there for about 45 min with no dancers not once entertaining us with a show.... Let me add, I know I am not a model, but I do think that I am good looking guy, especially in comparison to the guys in the place that night and I left even more pissed, because the a few gungy looking white women (3 of them) and one dude sat at the other stage and the dancers flocked over to them...We both got up and left, complained to management...the cashier did offer admission to another club as we left.... Admittedly, I've only been here once, and that was on a newspaper assignment covering the annual Denver porn convention. Basically, the convention was just a rented tent set up in the parking lot of La Boheme. A few stars were there signing autographs behind folding tables. There were a couple go-go dancers and some WAY overpriced beers. Even worse, they didn't even have restrooms, but a couple Port-a-Potties set up near the tent. Even the porn girls had to use the Port-a-Potty. Bored out of my skull, I used my press pass to go inside the club itself--and was even more bored out of my skull! Then again, I'm not much of a strip club fan. La Boheme is kind of narrow, so the interior felt a little cramped. I tried to find a decent seat, and found myself stacked tight with a bunch of other people in a mass of chairs with no apparent order. And if you think I ordered a drink in this place, please.
