He then replaced ugly carpeting on two sets of stairs and replaced hardwood stairs. This included staining and and putting two coats of polyurethane on the stairs. What was once a major eyesore is now beautiful, to say the least. George is very professional and does solid work. Even better than that his prices are fair. Mike came for the first round to work with our contractor to discuss the needs of the new kitchen, including GFI updates, kitchen island outlets and pendants, new LED recessed overhead lights, and under cabinet lighting and floor heating. They also made recommendations based on new codes coming into play over the next couple of years so that we would be compliant. That kind of attention to detail was most welcome. John, the Master Electrician who came to the house later, easily guided two young apprentices over 2 days of full-on work. John was amazing, listening to my questions, assisting me in last minute decisions, and making certain the customer was happy. John was very insistent in making sure we were happy and pleased with their work. His knowledge and background was priceless while I worked through the list of my wants and needs, he was very patient too, as I asked endless questions. They put in long days and protected our home while working cleanly and efficiently. They finally showed to do the work on 11/5. It all looked pretty good. However, they neglected to use their backpack blowers to remove the water out of a few puddles in front of my garage. I know that these areas needed crack sealing too. When I called to let them know what was missed, I'm now being told they are shutting down operations for the season (11/7). They can't come back until the spring when they start up again. I could have easily used my own blower the day before to remove the water and dry the area, if they had mentioned that they couldn't handle a few puddles. Now these vulnerable areas will be even more damaged by the freezing and thawing during the winter. This is what I was trying to avoid to begin with. Not very happy.
