Spectacular show lasts about 1.5 hours of incredible magic tricks and comedy. Definitely a bucket list item!

Tank G.

This show is only put on a couple of days a week. They have a huge private parking lot with free parking. The theater is cozy and clean. There is really not a bad seat in the house. I recommend getting your tickets early because seating is supposedly assigned by the date of ticket purchase. I will admit that the tickets are a bit pricy and they do not offer any discounts. The theater has a small concession stand and they sell popcorn and magic items. The show started right on time, which is a plus. The show is great family fun and features Rick and his wife Suzan. He does a great job with his magic. My family and I like the appearing helicopter illusion, the flying ball trick and the snow trick. They have about three opportunities for audience participation, so be prepared to raise your hand. They also have a card trick that the entire audience does with cards that are placed on their seat before they arrive. There was an issue with one of the card tricks, as the overhead camera that showed the trick was not turned on, so the audience never saw it. I understand that mistakes do happen, but at $50 a seat, they need to be avoided a bit better. There is an offer that pops up when you check-in here. It is for a free item at the magic shop. When I went to cash it in, no one there had any idea what is was. The referred me to Suzan Wilcox, who did not know where the offer came from and said that it was not them that did it. That created a very uncomfortable interaction and as I was about to leave, they said that they would still honor it and gave me a deck of their cards. I liked the show. It was entertaining. I think that it is a bit pricey though for what you get. The show lasted a little over an hour and at the end of it they have a little Q&A. Rick is a true showman and seems very friendly and personable. My littles are learning magic tricks with their cards as I type this review.

Christmas in the Dells Dinner Show - Vegetable soup didn't have a vegetable in it. Not one. And that discolored thing on plate was the ham.

This is a Great Show! I've talked to people and read some reviews so I have to say I expected the…read moreshow to be good... it out did my expectations. I was told (and saw on the reviews) that the food was not up to par, but I wasn't that let down by the food either. Sure it wasn't spectacular, but I thought it was passable. The food was a basic Christmas meal. Soup Appetizer, Turkey, Ham, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and also Mac and Cheese. I thought the Turkey, Green Beans and Potatoes were the best part. The hour and 15 minute show started with a bang with a floating violinist and closed with a live Nativity. Singers and Dancers were all very talented. My favorite part (or song) was the 12 Days of Christmas mash up. That was really clever. Maybe, if I did have a let down it would be the price of the drinks... that was pretty outrageous. A specialty drink and an old fashion was about $50. And my wife's drink wasn't even very good. But she got to keep the plastic boot glass it came it! (Eye Roll) I highly recommend this show. Really brought the Christmas spirit! Well worth the price and a fun Holliday treat. Skip the drinks, but enjoy the show!

For the Christmas show we had vegetable soup, ham, Turkey, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, Mac and cheese, cranberries and green beans. The Turkey was dry, the gravy salty, the ham was not recognizable as ham (both in color and flavor), and though the Mac and cheese was the best of the options, it was so gummy it stuck to the roofs of our mouths like a communion wafer! It was awful. The good thing, it was served warm. For dessert we could pick pie or brownie. We got the brownie and didn't finish it. It was like dead weight, almost like they forgot an ingredient. We also did try 2 of their specialty drinks. They did taste good. The price however at $17/hr was not worth it. Almost $40 for 2 drinks! Nothing about this experience was "Merry"!

This place might be my favorite experience in all of the Wisconsin Dells…read more So much fun. I have not been to a drive in since the mid 90s and was super excited to get to share this experience with my children and this place did not disappoint. They have 2 screens which I had not seen at a drive in before but it works well. The audio plays over fm radio stations and they have radios to rent if you don't bring your own or want to run your car battery down. The food is reasonably priced and they have a great selection that I would say surpasses any of the local chain theaters I go to back home. Burgers, hot dogs, nachos, sloppy joes, popcorn, cheese curds, soda, candy, corn dogs, onion rings, French fries, grilled cheese, pizza, and tacos off the top of my head. Just a huge selection of options. The movies say they start at dusk but add about 15 minutes to that based on our experience. It makes sense, dusk is easy to search for to find the time but it isn't really dark enough yet. So just be aware it's a little later and if you stay for the full double feature it is going to be a late night. But totally worth it.

Starting my review by saying "I was expecting so much more" from this place already sets it up for…read morethe 2 star rating. I'd never been here before and I'm always excited when there are new attractions in the Dells to check out. So here I am pumped and ready to go and then the first crappy thing strikes me. (This has no effect on my star rating just something you all should know). The 4D Theater, Ripley's and Wizard Quest are all owned by the same people. SO If you buy a pass to Wizard Quest AND Ripley's you will get free tickets to the 4D Theater. This does NOT include when you buy all of your attraction tickets at one of the spots where they sell discounted tickets per the number of supported attractions are sold. So we DID go to both Ripley's and Wizard Quest but because of the way we bought our tickets, we also had to pay (for a discounted price) the 4D theater tickets. Now back to the review. I wouldn't go back unless it really shaped up and someone yelped about it. We gave our tickets and followed the line. There was no attendant to tell us what to do so everyone was incredibly confused as to where we go. There were supposed to be 2 sets of shows to choose from, and when we bought the tickets the woman said that it was a 4 movie experience each about 15 minutes a piece so it lasted about an hour. Eventually about five minutes later when an attendant came by to let people in to the single room theater without any explanation we sat in our seats, put on our 3D glasses and waited. Shortly the first movie started up. It's not as good of 3D quality as they have now at the movie theaters where they've shown Coroline, Up, etc. So that was kind of disappointing. All of the films are animated and I can sum up all of the effects you will experience. You will be poked in the back with a stick (it hurts) You will have air blown in your face, and at your ankles You will have water splashed at you (not like a mist, but like a real splash) You will have your seat tremble, but not even as much as you'd like it to considering the movement scale of some of the action scenes. During the log ride it smells like pine. During the box of people ride it smells like soup. I was sitting there really wanting to enjoy it, and trying to prepare myself for the awful poke in the back that would come and wait for the videos to get a bit more interesting. The pirate captain one was the best movie, but the worst experience. When you're a box of people I thought that was the best experience overall, but the shortest. I can't see how those movies were more than 10 minutes (or 5 in a couple cases). That brings me to my last point. While the first two movies were shown back to back, there was then an announcement for an exit and we were not the only ones saying, "What the...?" Because we paid for 4 movies. So we waited about 10 minutes wondering with everyone else what was going on, and then the second 2 movies came on. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bit more than 10 minutes. The next two movies were back to back. I thought it was really poorly organized. One of the workers ran in and out without a word to anyone a couple times. I was really dissapointed. If you want to go to a quality 4D theater I recommend Disney World. They have two, one in Epcot I believe and the other in Animal Kingdom.

What a waste of money! Bad 3D quality…read morePoke in the back hurts Bad service, it looked like they were pissed that we bought tickets for the last show of the night, and one employee said we could buy tickets for 2 movies and another said they couldn't because thne they would have to go home late. We had no idea what to do or where to go. They took our tickets and we were left standing there, we had to ask were to go even though the employee was right there. Same thing at the end. We finally walked out into a gift shop, no employees to be seen. We were actually locked in the gift shop, we had to unlock the door and let ourselves out. Even our 9 yr old thought it was lame, our 14 vyr old wanted to walk out. Old wizard of oz movie. I could not beleive it sucked soooo much!

You can't miss it. Just look for the colorful cars standing up on end. They have a decent sized parking lot that it shares with the other business in the strip mall that it is in. I was also surprised that I did not have to have a reservation, even though I got there early. There still was not a long line or huge crowd the whole time I was there and we spent about an hour there. They do not even offer reservations either so, I do not know how they handle it if they get slammed packed. You start your journey by getting dressed in 80s gear that they provide. You could also bring your own, but they have a huge selection of pants shirts, shoes, earring headbands, sunglasses, gloves, phones, hats, sweatpants, and chains. They also have makeup for you. They provide changing rooms and lockers to lock up your clothes you wore there. I recommend getting there early to get your full pick of clothing. Once something is worn, it is out of commission for a while until it is cleaned. The staff there is so helpful and friendly they are awesome. They provide you with a tripod, which was perfect because I was able to use my Apple Watch to control my phone's shutter. They have about 20 scenes set up for you to take some photos. Some of the scenes include MTV, a big boom box, Miami Vice car, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Farris Beuler's room, Super Mario Brothers, Hulk Hogan, Back to the Future 2 hoverboard, a rubix cube, bubble gum and you start it all off with the Simpsons, which is located in the area with the clothes. The scenes are very well done. My favorite was probably the MTV, followed closely by Miami Vice and the Rubix Cube. You end your tour by exiting through a huge stack of VHS tapes which comes out in the gift shop and looks like a coke machine on that side. The gift shop has candy, drinks and 80 themed items like shirts, hats, rubix cubes, bags, lite brites and pictures. Once you hit the gift shop, don't forget to go outside and take pictures by the cars though before you turn your clothes back in. When you turn you clothes back in, you put them in a basket for cleaning and you are off. This place was very fun. My littles, who were both born in the 2010's both had a blast. You will definitely get some awesome shots. If you have an Apple Watch and iPhone, it is easy peasy. If not, you will just have to use your camera's timer or bring your own Bluetooth shutter. I highly recommend checking this place out. It puts an 80s spin on the selfie museum fad that is sweeping the country. It is a unique spot and is definitely more than worthy for a prime-time spot on your itinerary.
