I really thought also that maybe the few reviews were not as accurate but guess what? They are.... I did notice that some of the "pieces" were not original, so with that said: I always thought museum pieces have to have at least some sort of significance in history, but it seems that this is just second reproductions of some sort. Now at all impressed but none the less, its "interesting", but if your a history buff, this place lacks history. Enjoy it for what it is.

Although it's not huge, there are so many interesting exhibits packed into a relatively small space. We could have easily spent hours here until close but we had plans to hit the road and head back home to the Chicago area. The gentleman upfront was nice enough to only charge me for 2 adults, even though I later checked the website and saw my 5 year old normally would have been charged at a lower price. My children, ages 3 and 5, had a blast. They ran around from exhibit to exhibit. I like that each one had instructions printed to explain the illusion. If you're into outer space, space stations, etc., the second room is for you! My son and I paid the $4/ person cost to Ride in the space shuttle VR experience. It wasn't really that exciting, but my 5 year old enjoyed it. My favorite part was the 3rd exhibit. Don't forget to head upstairs as well. The Van de Graff generator (to make your hair stand up) didn't seem to work. I have a picture of myself as a child standing there, so I was pretty bummed I couldn't get one with my children. Since it was cold and snowing, we didn't experience any outdoor exhibits, but there is plenty to do inside. You do have to walk outside briefly between exhibits, so dress appropriately. Definitely would return!

The kids would have stayed longer but we had another event scheduled so had to leave. Even the little kids will find something interesting. Even we adults learned lots of cool things. I think the ideal age is 5-10 years old but outside that range is still good too. If you are staying at a local resort ask if you can get a discount for doing so. The tickets are (as expected) not cheap but this one is worth the time and money. Be prepared to end this activity through the gift shop and brace for buying expensive souvenirs.

I love museums and this one is dedicated to the great history of the dells and the photographer H.H Bennnett who quite literally put Wisconisin Dells quite literally on the map with his photography. Our guide through the museum is a descendant of H H Bennett and she knew her family history well. I don't know if there is always a tour guide or it's a go at your own pace. They have bathrooms located upstairs and another exhibit on the second floor. It's a wonderful stop in for a blast from the past.

It is a little pricey, but they offered us military discount as my husband and I are both veterans. And there is also so much for kids of all ages to do that, It will keep them occupied for hours! I brought my son who is 15 and my daughter who is 7 and they both equally ran around excited and curious for hours. The museum is completely interactive so the kids could touch and explore everything. Every corner was a new awe inspiring moment. And the staff also made the experience top tier. They were interactive with the kids and would ask them if they saw certain artifacts throughout the museum. Truly a great experience!

It was super impressed. It literally kept going on and on and on. so many fun interesting things. We stopped and got a hotdog at the cafeteria, which was nice because we were getting a little hungry and thirsty on this long walk. I would recommend bringing dollar bills so you can buy coins and put them into the different coin operated machines that they have. They have a lot of those around the entire facility and it's one of the only interactive options. Obviously everything looked really cool. I think that the only thing that would make it better would be to have a more interactive aspect to some of the parts, but I'm not sure how they would do that and I don't think they're gonna change anything. Lots of lights and lots sounds, not to mention the number of things to look at. Plan for walking up and down hills and walkways/stairs. Some areas are too narrow for mobility aids and might be a tight fit if you are plus sized, like I am. That said, it was worth every step to see it all. The automated music machines, infinity room, and the carousels were my favorite parts. I'm sure there's plenty I didn't notice, so I would return to take in more of it. Be prepared for irregular temperatures throughout the experience, as you move between indoors and outdoors and gated locations versus not. There are many restrooms along the way, as well as a cafe halfway through where you can rest and recharge. We didn't stop there, but it smelled great as we walked through. Get your tokens at the front desk to save a little money. You'll need them for the automated music machines. I bought 15, but I could have used 5-10 more. Luckily, you still get to watch and listen when others use their tokens.

My recent visit consisted of: friendly welcoming faces working here, relatively reasonable prices, and severely empty store shelves. The place was clean, albeit old. The museum had a lot of history which included posters and pictures with artifacts; My children enjoyed looking at the wagons and black and white panoramic pictures. We came on a weekday so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the face paintings and pony rides that were offered. We saw the last circus show of the day and it was very good. The acrobatics,jugglers, and father daughter duo unicyclists were so entertaining to my kids. I personally enjoyed the equestrian team and appreciated how they would get the crowd hyped up before a performance. It was raining pretty hard so they had a shuttle from the circus tent back to the building which was much appreciated with three kids and a stroller. There is a gift shop upon leaving with circus themed items and plushies. I do plan to revisit in the near future to enjoy more of the grounds and more interactive experiences. If you plan on coming to Wisconsin Dells make a stop here as well. You won't regret it.

The park is packed with giant metal creations--towering birds, a 20-foot insect, a guitar, and a massive centerpiece made from salvaged boat parts, motors, and pipes. It's like walking through an outdoor museum of welded imagination. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit, but since it's right off the highway, it's a fun and memorable stop for photos and a dose of weird Wisconsin art.
