Rick, so sad to see you leave, you were my go-to engraver for a fantasy football league I was in. He would always etch the name of the winner on the trophy along with their team name and the season year. He does quality work and was super friendly and easy to work with. Our young son had been asking for his own knife for quiet a while. As he is grown-up and getting ready for his fist hunting and survival experiences, we decided to get and engrave his first knife as one of many lasting memories from Mom and Dad. We heard great things about Rick's excellent work, and we decided to contact him to work with our son's first knife. He was very receptive to what he wanted and sent us computer generated examples of how the knife would look with our engraving choices. The final product (see pictures) was exactly how we wanted, and the work was done quickly, professionally and at very reasonable price! I wish I had the same experience as the rest of these reviews. I called to get a rough estimate on the cost to get some items engraved. I was met with sighs and him telling me how much of a "pain" it would be followed by more sighs. Then telling me he guesses he could do the engraving for me. I understand some items are more difficult than others. I was willing to pay for the services and would understand a higher cost for certain items. He made me feel uncomfortable and like an inconvenience. He could have simply said he was unable to perform the service or said it would cost more. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. read more

Found Rick because of the good reviews on Yelp. I needed to get a S'well water bottle engraved. He did a great job. I had it back in a couple of days and the price was very reasonable. He was very nice and up front about the cost and timeline. Highly recommend him if you are looking for an engraver. read more

I couldn't be any happier with my engraving job. Rick did an oddly shaped urn for my friend that other engravers were too scared to try. It was a real pleasure talking with him and his wife in the process. As far as the work goes, he was professional and courteous throughout and the job was done better than I could have imagined. Rick is the best!! He custom engraves our detailed logo on a cylindrical mug which is a challenging task because of the shape but they are perfect every time. Plus he is very responsive when a new shipment comes in, the turn-around time is excellent and he's extremely nice! read more

Rick did a beautiful job on some custom dog tag necklaces I needed in a hurry, at a fraction of what it would have cost at the mall. History

Established in 1998.

Beginning as an IT service provider, I got into laser engraving to mark client notebooks for security purposes. Shortly after that, I began providing design and laser engraving services to belinda at Art on Glass in Seal Beach, and learned a great deal about sand carving. When belinda closed up shop, she gave me her oldest, regular clients, and I've been engraving full time ever since.

Meet the Business Owner: Rick T.

I was born in Detroit, grew up in Royal Oak, MI and studied Photo Journalism at Central Michigan University. Spent 25 years running an IT service in SoCal. Engraving was the way I got back in touch with my more artistic side. Now I can combine my love of technology with my love of art to create unique items for my clients by combining computer design, laser precision and the unique beauty that only sand carving can offer..
