This was the second time I used Rick's services and I could not be more pleased with the work he did in my house! He is a perfectionist and went above and beyond in making sure every detail was taken care of the right way. He explained the entire process before the job began and several times throughout the few weeks he spent working in my home. He is extremely honest, hardworking, professional, and treated my home as if it were his own. The price for the entire job was fair, competitive, and he understood that splitting the cost into payments was better for me rather than one large payment at the completion of the project. The job required a lot of patching due to the condition of some ceilings and walls, however, none of it was ever an issue for Rick. The entire house was painted including, ceilings, walls, trim and doors and what looked "used", now looks as if the house was built yesterday! Thank you!!! read more

We contracted with Rick for wallpaper removal and painting of our entire townhouse which has vaulted ceilings and three skylights. Rick was not overwhelmed by the amt of wallpaper that needed to be removed or apprehensive about dealing with the 12' ceilings and skylights. Rick provided his quote promptly and started our job on time. Each day he would update us with his expectations for the next day and was VERY patient while we selected paint colors. Rick works diligently and conscientiously and does not rush through the project just to get it done. This was a big job, and Rick met the challenge completing it within the time frame originally set. We are extremely satisfied with his beautiful work, and we'll definitely hire Rick again, as well as be recommending him to our family and friends. read more

We hired rick for exterior painting. Upon initial inspection, Rick was very thorough and extremely Knowledgeable when it came to what needed to be done and how he was going to do it. Rick has an eye for paint, he knows what looks good, what's popular and what colors may steer unintentionally in a color you might not expect (purple/red). When we hired Rick, he did everything himself. Everything he did was done thoroughly and with extreme pride as if it was his own home. I wish we had more things for him to paint but we had to let him go on his way to make his mark on other homes. Be sure to contact him early in the year, he's in high demand and wants to fit you into the schedule the best he can. Highly recommend his services. read more

We were referred to Rick by a staff person in the Sherwin Williams store on 159th Street. Hire him for your home painting needs! He responded quickly and gave us a quote for a kitchen and bathroom that needed a lot of patching and sanding. Rick is extremely thorough and does excellent work - he just left our home today and we could not be happier! He gave us some color suggestions and explains what he is going to do in detail. He is thorough with the preparation work so the actual painting goes smooth. He is also careful about cleaning up afterward. We will contact him again in early 2019 to paint some more rooms. read more

I found Rick's card at a Sherwin Williams because I needed someone to paint my living room. I had major water damage done to my ceiling and fire place due to some heavy rains the previous year. The ceiling and walls had become discolored and started peeling. Rick gave excellent suggestions on painting the ceiling and walls the same color to help keep the cost down. On the first day he and his team did the patch work and it immediately looked brand new. I would recommend Rick to everyone. He completed the entire job within 3 days. read more

Rick is very professional and very affordable. He has great technique and the end product is exceptional. Even though he is a one person operation, the extra time taken is well worth it. My 34 year old home did have the usual drywall nicks and blemishes. Rick took care of all the flaws with excellent sparkling, sealing, and dual coat finishing. This technique is beyond the "usual" paint job you receive from bigger painting contractors. I would recommend Rick the Painter without hesitation. Chuck G.-Orland Park read more

Last week Rick finished painting the interior of my garage. This job was a huge challenge because nineteen years ago the builder had done nothing but install the drywall. My garage had two walls, a ceiling, and one cinderblock wall, all gray and dingy. What a transformation!Everything is a clean, soft white now. Rick is detailed, knowledgeable, hardworking, and professional. I recommend Rick to everyone. read more
