We just had our first consultation with Dr. Visor for my infant daughter's recurring ear infections. I could not be more relieved to have found him! (In truth, I didn't find him, my sister did when he helped my nephew with the same problem a few years ago.)
The wait was short - we were seen promptly at our appointment time and we weren't left waiting in the exam room. Also, the wait for an appointment was really quick, especially compared to most medical specialists. His medical assistant was very friendly and patient with my daughter who is extraordinarily shy.
Dr. Visor himself was fantastic. He came in and sat on his knees to stay at my little girl's level and to try to intimidate her as little as possible. He explained to me very clearly what wasn't working in her anatomy that was causing the infections and what the treatment options were. He didn't push me towards a course of treatment and he didn't rush me in my decision. He gave me the facts in a friendly way that a layman could understand and told me it was up to me.
His medical assistant followed up with us (I chose ear tubes, that's the medical term, of course...) and she said the scheduling nurse would call me about the procedure in a matter of days. I will try to update my review as we work with Dr. Visor more, but I can't imagine a thing he or his staff could have done to make my first impression any better. read more
