What I really like about it is many fold: 1) this one building contains the former belongings of like 100 grandmas, so you don't have to wander (drive) to several houses to browse, which lets face it can consume most of one day; 2) the treasures are abundant! They had everything from vintage clothing to furniture to books to toys. Really, a ton of stuff! I'm always partial to kitchen items, my wife gravitates to books and records. There were even 2 old dollhouses here, which I loved for a friend who collects dollhouses! 3) no one pressures you, or rushes you. We spent quite a while in here, searching and sifting, and we probably could have spent way more time if we'd been patient ourselves. If you enjoy estate sales and flea markets, you MUST scope this place out. They have limited hours, only on the weekends, which I'm grateful for because it's tough to get out during the week. Brenda put hours and hours into our online sale. She did an amazing job. Brenda is very knowledgeable and professional. She also traveled over an hour to do our sale. When Brenda was done our home was empty and ready for the new owner. I can't say enough about how hard Brenda worked. We could not have accomplished this without her. After my mother passed, we were left with a large house packed to the ceilings with old, new, and…read moreevery kind of treasure in between.  After a year of attempting to sort through the home ourselves we decided to consult local estate sale companies.  After unsuccessful consultations with multiple companies due to the size and complexity of our sale, we felt defeated.  Feeling hopeless we scheduled our last company that we had found online not expecting anything but a "sorry we can't help you." The company seemed small and new.  We didn't think we stood a chance that they'd be interested.  We were wrong. The Root Cellar Estate Sale Company has been a blessing in our lives.  Heather and Kirk are nothing short of amazing miracle workers.  They handled over 2,000 square feet of "stuff" and transformed it into a giant welcoming space with boutique and general store vibes.  The atmosphere of the sales seemed cozy and welcoming. The presentation on social media was right on par with today's influencer standards.  The organization and timeliness of Heather, Kirk, and their entire crew were impressive.  Communication could not have been better.  Most importantly, they treated us with kindness and respect and were careful to approach this sensitive situation with gentleness and grace.   I would highly recommend this company.  I am confident they can conquer even the larger, oddest jobs and do it with style.  In one of the toughest parts of our life, they helped to make one part just a little bit easier and we are grateful.

They are publicly admitting that they did not communicate with me. "We never did business with this woman." You're absolutely right, little Root Cellar, I was inhibited from giving you my business because Kirk failed for over a month to return my calls and texts. If you can't handle letting your potential customers know that you're not up to the job, you might need to say that to your potential customer so they move on to better companies. As a business owner, your business model has failed because you blow people off. I was honest with Kirk on the phone over my sibling that wants to throw everything out instead of holding an estate sale and his response was, this isn't my first rodeo. Oh okay, he's dealt with situations like this before I figured. Clearly the Root Cellar hasn't and I highly recommend that no one uses this business.

When Joshua James replied it was very thorough and I was impressed, plus I already heard about him through some friends and other referrals. Once we started looking at homes, he was extremely efficient every step- whether it was me asking really basic questions that were simply obnoxious, or whether it was me asking questions that required a long explanation- he always answered efficiently, professionally, and made everything understandable to a beginner. By the end, I felt like I owed him because I learned so much. He knew a lot about homes/areas we visited and had expertise in multiple areas.
