I worked with The Kaplan Group for more than six months while navigating a challenging employment…read moresituation, and I consistently felt well represented throughout the process. My initial intake was with Austin Kaplan, who was exceptionally knowledgeable about the law but, just as importantly, provided clear, real-world insight into what I should realistically expect. He was direct, fair, and accurate in managing expectations, which helped me make informed decisions without feeling misled or overpromised at any point. Andrew Eckhaus and Madeline were both excellent to work with. They were responsive, thoughtful, and thorough, and I always felt that my questions and concerns were taken seriously. Their guidance was practical, well reasoned, and grounded in a strong understanding of the law. I also appreciated how easy it was to schedule meetings using their online system--it was efficient and respectful of my time. The firm's compensation structure felt transparent and fair, and I never felt pressured or price-gouged. Overall, I felt treated fairly and professionally from start to finish. The Kaplan Group demonstrated strong legal expertise, sound judgment, and a clear focus on serving their clients' best interests. I would recommend them to anyone looking for experienced and principled legal representation.

Four years ago, entering into my sixth decade of life, I was confident in my bullet proof financial…read moreretirement plan. However, a year later I took the advice from someone I wholeheartedly loved and trusted to invest in a real estate opportunity. Three years later, I have witnessed a slow and steady loss of funds to an investment I was guaranteed would produce not only my investment dollars back but 10% interest. Now there is no guarantee, which left me paralyzed with fear. Being new to Austin I felt stuck in this situation so I shared my dilemma with a new friend. He, a Family-Law Attorney, interrupted me to say without hesitation, "You need David Gottfried! He's not only an excellent Real Estate Attorney, but he's a brilliant Trail Attorney, too." I thanked him for his recommendation but still wasn't sure this was a matter I could trust to anyone at this point. I felt stuck with no hope. My friend encouraged me to stay on the phone with him while he called David to join us on a 3-way conference call immediately. Not even knowing where to start my friend introduced me to David then I sat in silence listening to the two men discuss my potential case. This matter was way too big and emotional for me to even give input. Within a few days David earned my trust. He was patient with my questions, he never talked down to me, and often said things to rebuild my confidence and self-worth. David, truly cares and protects his clients from heading deeper into the abyss. He is reliable, able, and strong. Plus, he's a mover and a shaker who thinks out of the box, and often laughs at my crummy jokes. David actually makes a stressful time almost feel like it's a fun thing to do. He's an amazing man who can balance brilliance with bedside manner. David Gottfried and his team are the very best Austin has to offer.

This is a family business, run by Attorney Caitlin Haney Johnston, and her sister Amber, with the rest of the team. I learned after residing in Texas for the last five years, that my will and trust from California were invalid in Texas. That was an unpleasant awareness, as it took quite a bit of time to prepare those documents. My job offered "MetLife-Prepaid Legal" as an annual benefit. MetLife even offered an affordable family plan. So we made the call, discussed our needs and shortly thereafter, we were reviewing the draft documents and signing our finals. We needed a Spanish translation for one of our family members. No problem, as their Paralegal Celeste speaks Spanish fluently. The office visit was amazing. They were so patient and understanding with all our questions. Not once did I feel rushed. It was like talking to a family member that knew the law. Over all it was a great experience, and a weight off my shoulders. I can't praise them enough how they helped me breathe easier knowing that this matter was done. Thank you Caitlin, Amber and Celeste for your professional help with this matter. We truly appreciate y'all. Michael C. - Georgetown

When my uncle died without a will, the prospect of going through probate in a far away state seemed…read morelike an impossible task. After interviewing several Austin Estate Attorneys we chose the Haney Law Firm and WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! They are fantastic! During the lead up to our hearing, they were in constant communication with us, made sure we knew exactly what to expect and helped us gather all of the information both they, the Ad Litem (Court appointed attorney) and the judge needed. Flash forward... I can NOT believe how supremely prepared Caitlan Haney Johnston (our attorney) was for the Probate Hearing. Both the witnesses and I were thoroughly prepped for the testimony we would be expected to give and, by the time we walked into the courtroom, we were all completely comfortable with what to expect. The hearing went exactly as we were told it would by Caitlan and she stayed with us to make sure all of the post hearing paperwork was filled out correctly including the stamped copies of the judge's orders. The next day I received both calls and emails from Amber (the amazing paralegal) and Caitlan making sure we knew exactly what the court expects of us and the time lines. I could not have asked for more!!! The Haney Law Firm is the absolute "Best of the Best!!!"

Nobody until Russell, who looked hard at the details I provided and took a chance on us. I had an intake phone call and then a consultation with Russell. He listened to me and asked me specific questions. Then he wasted no time in contacting the other parties directly on my behalf prior to even having taken me on as a client. Russell worked with me, and eventually, another family member involved, to represent us through an almost three year legal battle for our inheritance. We could always reach him via phone or email. I always felt like he was available, professional and kind. Russell is willing to face a challenge, presents the options clearly and without pressure. There are not enough words to describe how pleasantly surprised and blessed we were to have found him to represent us. During the process, Russell even went to a colleague he has in another state where we also needed representation and she was willing to work with us too in seeking out everything about our Dad's estate. I am so thankful for Russell and his team for their kindness, willingness to go far beyond what I would have dreamed to help us find closure after some terribly difficult loss and challenges that ensured for decades following our Father's death. Facing a legal situation is dreadfully scary. Facing it with Russell made it possible. He fought hard for us all the way to the end. Russell is willing to try the options, pivot where needed and allow the client to make their own decisions while advising them legally and professionally. I always felt like I could take his recommendations and I always felt confident he would not steer us wrong. I truly don't have the words for what his willingness to help us has meant and how impressed I am with his work and the work of his team. I continue to be amazed at how this all has taken place and how in the end we felt like we won in every aspect of our case. It was hard. It was bumpy. Russell and his staff made it possible. Most especially I appreciate Russell's encouragement and kindness that if nothing had come of it, which a lot did come of it, but had nothing else come of it, atleast the relationship between my sister and I was mended. Thank you so much Russel. Thank you to you and your staff!! Thank you for being willing to take a chance on us and for seeing it through with the same passion to the very end no matter what the outcome. I never felt like I was pushed aside for other clients.
