Rick promptly responded to my request, came within two days, and did the job very efficiently. I will use Rick again with future projects. I highly recommend Rick. read more

Rick has performed various work for our condo association. He is attentive, prompt, honest, and offers very reasonable rates. I already wrote, at some length, about how pleased I was with Rick's work for our condo building. I must add that, when Rick cannot perform a job himself, he not only may know of contacts, but gets in touch with them himself on one's behalf. I deeply appreciated that, when my toilet needed repairs, and, after I sent Rick a text, I learnt he was on vacation, he nonetheless contacted someone who could do the job, and made the arrangements for me. This is outstanding! read more

Rick is an excellent Handyman. He is upfront with what he can do, and will guide you to do some of your own solutions (ours was fixing our kitchen faucet and dishwasher) at no cost to us. He is very knowledgeable and can either chat you up as he works or is totally content to get the work done while you are doing the rest of your chores/errands/work. Totally trustworthy and reliable. He responds well to texts or email and is very able to work with your schedule. I highly recommend Rick for your Handyman needs. read more

Rick is a true gentleman and a class act. At a time when it's very difficult to get someone on the phone, he answered my call while on another job. Some siding had come detached from my house on a very windy day and would have gotten a lot worse if it wasn't reattached quickly. After exchanging a few texts he told me that he wouldn't be able to do the job himself but reached out to a friend who was able to be at my house within about 20 minutes and did a very nice professional job at a fair price. In total it was about an hour between the time I first called and when the job was done. The other guys I called hadn't yet returned my calls. read more

I called Rick after finding him on Yelp to fix my storm door that broke from a recent wind storm. He came the same day, and fixed it perfectly for a very reasonable price. I give him 5 stars because he answered promptly, did quality work, and was extremely nice. It's good to find someone to go to for moments like this. I highly recommend him. read more

This is a tough review to leave because I honestly really liked Rick as a human being. He is a kind man who you can have a great conversation with. It was a struggle working with Rick over his 3+ weeks with us. We were told the project would be done in 4 days. Some setbacks were no fault of Rick's (drywall taking an extra day to dry in the basement). Others were due to him not coming for many days at a time. There was miscommunication with what was supposed to be done. By the end of the project we were still left with more to do. We had to go out and hire another handyman to finish the job. By the end we were ready to see Rick go as he had well overstayed his welcome. I honestly believe that he would have done a better job with a small, more well defined project. One that would only take a few hours... This job was too large and there were too many abstracts. My one piece of advice is to iron out a price and specific expectations before he begins work. We had just gotten over a flood to our basement and this became an incredibly frustrating process for my family and me. I would not recommend for handyman work, but would recommend to have a beer with. read more

I can't recommend Rick's work highly enough. He's prompt in his appointments, does an excellent job, and an all around pleasant person. I will definitely be calling him back for future work. read more

Was initially responsive, but then wasn't. Very unprofessional and frustrating - if he didn't want the work then he should have just said so. Don't waste my time. read more

Rick didn't do a job for me, but he still helped me out. I had contacted him via text message, after finding him on Yelp, to get a quote for a handyman job in my house. After letting me know that he doesn't do the kind of job I needed, he asked me several questions over text, and then called me to give me some info about what would be needed to complete my job, and a good suggestion on exactly what product to buy to get the same functionality for cheaper. Basically, even though he didn't do the kind of work I needed, he still called me to give me some free advice on how to get it done cheaply. Thanks! read more

Rick is an excellent handyman and such a nice, genuine person. He performed a variety of repairs for us recently and we couldn't be happier with the process and outcome. Beautiful results, so easy and pleasant to work with. Reasonable price too. Highly recommend. Thank you Rick!! read more

Rick is the best. He's responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. He has helped us with everything from heating to windows. He's also not afraid to say when you need to call in a specialist. When a specialist is needed, he not only suggests one, but he has personally called them for us to explain the issue. read more

Hired Rick for the first time to replace a porch door. Prompt, courteous, honest and very reasonable. He and his carpenter did a meticulous job. I am very satisfied and will continue to use his services. read more

Had Rick over to do some spackling work as a result of some dents caused by movers. Took care of the work efficiently (was in and out in 2.5 hours) including a trip to Home Depot. Very easy to work with, arrived on time and gave good advice for a new homeowner. Would definitely recommend and will be using him for other home needs in the future. read more

I've used Yelp for a while, but have never written a review until now. I found Rick by searching for a Handyman Service in my area. I was really hesitant at first because there were only a couple of reviews. When that's the case, I always have second thoughts....like are these friends or family of the owner? I took a chance anyway, and was very pleasantly surprised. Rick answered my call on the first try, even though he was at the hospital dealing with a family medical emergency. Good sign #1....above and beyond the call of duty, as they say. Rick agreed to come by my house that evening. I had a nasty clog in the kitchen drain line. Good sign #2....he even accommodated my work schedule and told me to just call when I was almost home. Rick spent almost 1 1/2 hours trying various methods to unclog the line, but nothing worked. He was honest enough to admit that the work was beyond the scope of what he could do. He called a Master Plumber that he knew, but when I told him there's one that lives a few blocks from me, he had me call and spoke with him on the phone to explain what he did, and what he thought the problem was. To top it off, Rick said that because he couldn't actually fix the problem, he would only charge me a nominal fee, which was VERY reasonable. The plumber did fix the problem, but it was a major job that took him over 3 hours to complete (not something a handyman could do). All in all, I found Rick to be personable, professional, and very honest. Will definitely use and recommend his services in the future. read more

I needed to replace a toilet in a bathroom and I was hoping to simply replace the existing toilet with a new one from the same manufacturer. But I could not find an exact replacement anywhere on the Internet nor was I able to find a toilet from any manufacturer with the same (or even near) the same color. I felt frustrated, for I really wanted to keep the ambiance of the bathroom the same and was most reluctant to purchase a new one of a different color or shade. Rick Dilley came to the house, took pictures and then was able to determine the exact color by showing these pictures to suppliers who were in business when the original toilet was bought and who recognized this now-uncommon color. With this information, we were able to refine our search and eventually found a supplier who ordered a toilet of the very same color from a different manufacture. Without Rick initiating this process, I would never have been so satisfied as I am now. Then, when it came to installation time and it was discovered how the previous installer jury-rigged his work which brought about the eventual downfall of the existing toilet, Rick set out to find the root cause of the problem (which was not readily apparent) and resolved it in a most reasonable and efficient use of time. I would be very willing to speak in unconditional terms about the quality of Rick Dilley's work and especially his attitude towards doing it right and his interpersonal skills which made dealing with him a pleasure. I am most pleased with his work, from inception to finish, and will call upon him in the future without a second thought. read more

Rick is knowledgeable and straight forward. Wouldn't hesitate to call him for other projects around the house again. Keep up the great work!

Rick was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He did a fantastic job hanging our new light and was it and out and cleaned up quickly. He shared a bunch of helpful information about the nuances of our new old houses. Would highly recommend him. read more

We recently hired Rick to have stringers put on the sides of our stairs. Scheduling appointments was very easy, I received a quote the same day Rick came out to look at the job, and the work was completed the following week. I am very happy with the final product.
