I've bought a fair few electrical items here over the years due to the frequent variety of fantastic offers they have on every week. Kitchen Devil knives, a fancy vacuum cleaner, a steam mop, one of those wierd and wonderful batteries that are hard to track downthey have it all. I can't say that all the staff are overly helpful, it varies like pot luck, but it is so convienient on the high street, there aren't many shops like it!

Takes time to look around and they publish a useful 'offers' brochure which helps narrow things down. Staff aren't the most approachable but this may be historic from the days when it was an ironmongers. Some people can't let the past go.

I have been left more confident on what to get because of their knowledge. I like the fact that Currey have info boards to explain things like memory, battery life and hard drive etc.. near their Laptops and boards which explain what would be better suited to your lifestyle Net book or Laptop? I like the way everything is displayed laptops on one row, digital cameras on another. This store is very lovely to browse in as well. I like the Currey magazines which has all the current info on the products and specific mags for each one TVs, cameras etc. This store is in the shopping mall so you all got all the high street shopping chains under one roof.

They sell a whole range of electrical luxuries such as plasma TVs, Walkmans, ipod accessories, cameras, computers, video cameras, headphones (although they only have a small range) compared to other stores. The prices are good and they have had a sale on stuff each time I have been there. Last time they had a 30% sale on their TVs. I find Currys is a nice store to browse when you are looking to treat yourself and don't want to pay over the top prices.

I was lucky because I was the only person in the store so I got his undivided attention. They had a full range of Shure microphones and I ended up buying a small lapel one for 39.99. They also sell music specialty items, lighting, large range of headphones, electrical stuff like fires, lighting, clock radios, tools etc. Altogether a really handy store which is like one of those old fashioned shops where the staff really knew their products and could advise you professionally on the whole range. You just don't get that much anymore.

They're friendly and knowledgable, and have been here for over 70 years. They typically carry higher-quality components than you'll get at the big hardware chains. I've been here for a couple of quality leads, and for some socket timers (I think quality is especially important for electro-mechanical components).
