The pool and pool area were clean. It was close to home and the kids loved the slide.

I like this pool. It's never too crowded, so there's always plenty of room to move around and play. They have life vests for the little ones and there is also a basketball hoop for the children to play with. This pool is huge! It has diving boards at the deep end. It also has a slide in the 4'5" depth. You can't beat it for the price. The lifeguards have always been nice. The bathroom, shower, and changing area is clean. I left my cellphone and sunglasses and they called me and stayed a couple minutes after for me to come and pick it up. read more

Richardson Pool - A small part of the huge pool. - Swimming Pools Near Me - Schofield Barracks, Hawaii

Water slide!!! And there's a Pokemon Go spot at the pool, so you know... The kids had lots of fun. The pool was large, not terribly crowded. Staff was friendly too. We will go back again soon. read more

Do not wear a cute bikini to this pool or you will be escorted out by MPs. There is an assistant manager there named Helena Bauer who singled me out and told me to put on shorts (mind u I'm wearing a normal bikini not a thong). I've been to this pool on lots of occasions with no problems. She is very unprofessional and rude. I will not be going to this pool on the days she works. Aloha read more

The pool is like below freezing....but the snack bar is very fairly priced and the service is super quick!

Wow, wow, wow! Set up a pool party for my sons birthday. The staff was great, very easy to work with. The facilities are great. Everybody commented on how much nicer this pool was than hickam and PH read more

Been here twice already I like it so far. They keep the pool clean, staff is nice, I like that there's a pool or space for everyone to swim just the bathrooms get dirty really quick. Other than that I like it. read more

First time to the pool today. All dependents are charged $1, military member is free. The pool is super clean and really big. In fact, this is the largest pool facility in the DOD. The kiddy pool is 18 inches deep. Swimming pool is 4 ft 5 inches. Diving pool is 15 feet deep. read more

We lived on Schofield Barracks in the late 50s, and except for school (3rd and 4th grades) I spent most of my waking hours in that pool or climbing trees. It was fabulous - I was on the swim team and we had practice every day, and meets pretty much every weekend. We had good coaches too - even now, 50+ years later, someone recently said my freestyle had the most perfect form he had ever seen! I can still swim so many laps that I hit a point where it seems I could go forever. It is a huge pool (103M long), which I thought was normal olympic size, but it's DOUBLE the length of a standard Olympic pool (which is only 50M long). After training and racing in the Schofield pool, none of the post, high school, Y, community, or college pools I've been in have even come close :/ I was a lucky kid and would go back in a heartbeat if I could! read more

I just wanna say I do like this pool I've used it for as long as I can remember hell when I was 6 I had my birthday party here, I'm currently 19 and Ive been trying to loose weight for the navy and swimming is a low impact cardio workout so instead of running every I figured Id mix it up a little and start coming to the pool again, Because of the pandemic I was only allowed to start coming in around the end of June, that being said I've pretty much been coming in consecutively 4-5 times a week since it opened for dependents the front desk alway nice life guards are pretty chill, now you may be asking if all is good why a two star review, here's why 4-5 times a week and I usually swim around 1000 meters at a time then practice my holding my breath for 25 meters for maybe 6-8 times then my work outs done I pack up and leave before it gets to busy however today was different I do my 1000 meters and proceeded to start my 25 meter breath hold thats when I was told sorry no prolonged breath holding, this may sound petty but Understand I've been coming for an hour a day doing the same exercises for 4-5 times a week throughout this month no body else has bothered me but this one guard And As I tried to explain my situation she said it doesn't matter its pool policy, keep in mind there is a family in the 15 foot deep end throwing multiple of those little missiles In the pool and sending there kids to go get them Im in 5 feet why should I be told I cant hold my breath when the family literally 10 feet away is doing the same thing and if anything Id argue its actually more dangerous considering you use more air changing trajectory under water gathering those little missiles than me in a 25 meter lane doing a basic water exercise gliding through the water, absolutely ridiculous if you have a life guard staff on duty I see no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to conduct a basic exercise such as this especially if you are over the age of 15 Again great reception staff and good guards except for the one read more

The lifeguards are very rude! They do not allow floats in the pool even though they rarely have enough life vests & the kids area seems to be closed more often than not! The slide looks fun but as my daughter isn't talk enough she hasn't been allowed to ride even with an adult. The water is always freezing though (: the kids area is always dirty & rarely is the water clean. Even though we live in hawaii the "winter" hours are a joke! read more

The pool has a basketball hoop, water slide, and diving boards. It does get crowded since it's summer time and that gets annoying. Some of the life guards are a little mean but it's fine because they are "doing their job". read more

The hours are ridiculously short for a military installation. You're out of luck if you want to get a few laps in after work, and if you miss the PT Hours you have to wait all morning to get in. It's a mostly nice pool all around; there is some debris on he bottom of the diving side, but it's not too bad. read more

It's nice, there's a slide, and a kiddie pool. It's $2 a person, if you consider staff, maintenance, and cleaning, that's not a lot.

Im not happy with how they charge Retirees and they're dependents. Feel very discriminated. First time had to pay for me and family, and will be the last too. Very disappointing. read more

I love this pool. I come here all the time as a spouse and its never over crowded. Active duty is free, family members are $1, and civilians are $3. The pool is huge and has 4 diving boards and a slide. It also has a separate shallow pool for the very young ones : ) read more

Garbage. Kicked out of the pool when trying to safety test new scuba equipment prior to diving in the open ocean... you know, the kind of equipment that allows you to breathe underwater and keeps you alive. Was told by the first employee that we had to stay in the 1 deepest lane that was there, even though there were only 3 people in the entire giant pool and no one in the deep end (ok sure thing too easy). Second employee said that we could not use the pool "due to all of the hoses and tubes on our equipment that could be dangerous". Third and different employee (as well as the manager who was loud and obnoxious on the phone) told us that we "could not use the pool since Island Divers has the Scuba contract for the pool." Yeah but what's that have to do with 2 active duty Soldiers who are certified scuba divers trying to safety test some vital equipment in a controlled environment prior to using it where it could cost them their life? Oh that's right... not a damn thing! Other than the company that "owns the contract" not being able to make money off of it and it being way #6,372 to screw over the Soldier. read more

My family and i often go there and my kids have such a fun time they're always asking to go back every weekend. My daughter loves the slide and we just got her in to jumping off the diving board. Lol. SOME lifeguards are a bit uptight but i guess thats how they're supposed to be. Kinda hard when you have to repeat yourself over and over again. But anyways, it is a fun place to go and enjoy the sun and water. :) read more
