I was moving from IL to TN and was still living in IL at the time. 24 hours before we were supposed to close on the house I was notified that the title of the home still had the seller's ex wife listed and they did not have the needed paperwork to go forward with the closing. My real estate agent worked diligently to obtain the needed signatures since I was already packed and ready to drive to TN from IL. The day of the closing I found out that the man I had just purchased my house from was her brother in law. I was never informed of those prior to signing the documents. A week after I moved into my new home I discovered that both of my showers, which has previously passed the home inspection, were leaking from the floor through the roof of the garage. When the shower contractor came out he advised me that the shower was installed without a drainage pan underneath the tile. The tile was installed completely wrong and never sealed. It was built like a display shower would have been. Completely not functional. My shower contractor advised that this was a cosmetic fix only to make it look presentable to sell the house. $5000 later a new shower was installed. When the house was listed, the details stated that the roof was new. The signed disclosure paperwork stated that the roof was approx 1 year old. I also learned that that was a lie when the roof started to leak and spots became visible on my ceiling. When the roofing contractor came out he advised that the roof was not new. The agent was never able to provide a receipt for the roof because we discovered that the person that did the work was not licensed or insured. Someone had installed shingles over the already existing roof. Per the contractor, the person that did this work used recycled roofing materials to do the job and that the roof was older than what was documented. I believe that Sandy, along with her brother in law, hide many expensive defects in the house simply just to sell it. Sandy is a con artist and should have her real estate license revoked. Save yourself the head ache and use another agent.

It seemed our realtor had to do not only his job but hers as well. This just goes to show that there is a heck of a lot more than obtaining a "Realtor License" to qualify in being a competent realtor. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER.... Do your research before obligating yourselves to an agent!

Three weeks into our search, Adam called me with a listing, starting that day, of a great house for my family's needs. I did my part by offering a price substantially above market, but Adam crafted an offer that had advantages for the seller that I would not have thought of, then he shrewdly put a 24-hour expiration on it to force the seller to decide quickly, before more than 1 or 2 competing offers could come in. Offer accepted! Through the inspection process, Adam demonstrated a deep understanding about how houses are built - and of what breakdowns can develop that a seller should repair. I can't verify it, but he appears to me to have construction experience of his own. He further referred me to the best contractors he knew for various inspections and repairs. Throughout the five weeks from acceptance to closing, Adam always responded to my texts, calls or emails very quickly to answer my questions and offer me very sound advice for decisions buyers have to make. during the sale, a real estate agent is the seller or buyer's shepherd, navigating the client through uncertainties and decisions. Adam is a very skilled shepherd! After closing and our move-in, Adam didn't disappear; he checked in often to ask if everything was going all right with the new home. I didn't expect the level of service, after closing, that he offered. I work in an exacting profession, am detail oriented and am not the easiest customer to please. In my particular case, Adam met or exceeded expectations in every category. Overall, I found simply no weaknesses in his game; at all times, from house hunting, to after we moved into our new home, Adam made me feel like I was his only client.
