Truthfully, there are much worse things to be taunted by, but these pesky, unsightly things made for less than favourable hair styling conditions. But after collecting an array of approximately 15 of them of various sizes, and getting over the humour found in the game of 'whose cyst is the largest' amongst my family (I'm the reigning champion), and awkward conversations with hair stylists who had all seemed to have that curious, perplexed look on their face when they saw them - I decided enough was enough and 3 of these puppies were coming out. My doctor referred me to Dr. vanVliet - I was initially a bit uneasy since two of her RateMD reviews pegged her as being callous; but I wanted to make my own judgement calls and boy were those reviews wrong. Her office is extremely inviting with great music in the background, calm colours and nice decor. Her staff is comprised of individuals whose utmost commitment is to quality, customer service. From Lynda the patient co-ordinator at the front desk; to Franca the RN, who was so kind and patient with my anxiety while preparing me for the procedure. To the hero of the show - Dr. vanVliet. She is personable, very knowledgeable and straight forward. There is absolutely nothing callous about her whatsoever. In fact, upon learning that I was nervous, she dropped a bit of a 'fun fact' into my lap that had me chuckling, immediately cutting (pun intended) any lingering anxiety I had into smithereens. I appreciated the fact that she was committed to educating me both before and during the procedure. Not only that, both her and Franca kept the conversation flowing in a way that by the time I realized they were distracting me to my benefit, two out of the three cysts were already removed. I will 100% be back here to remove the remainder of my collection of cysts and will strongly recommend her and her team to any of my family members who are ready to make the plunge and remove those pesky cysts. I was there to get the same type of cyst removed from my scalp. After "freezing" the area, she begin cutting into my scalp. The freezing had not fully set in, and even though I mentioned this and was in obvious pain, she continued. All I could do it seems was endure the pain, although I'm sure it didn't hurt her a bit! It took all of 5 minutes and I was done. After a week, I had the stitches removed. A few days later, the pain in the massive scar she left (the size of a nickle) increased and there was inflammation and bleeding. I went to my family doctor and he pulled a piece of stitching from inside my scalp over an inch long. She could offer a refund (which she didn't) and perform another operation for free and I would never go back nor recommend her services!

I did limited research (which was ignorant of me to begin with). That being said, I ended up at this clinic because I was already purchasing skincare here so I decided to have a consult. Like many of the reviews say Dr. Dupere is very charming and attentive before payment but after is a whole other story. I went ahead and booked my procedure which was done late January of 2023. When I awoke I kid you not, my whole forehead and nose where in a cast. I've seen many rhinoplastys done and never with a cast like this. My under eye filler was so botched it was literally lumps. I was absolutely horrified, I actually passed out at home when the meds were off and I saw clearly. Long story short I reached out to him many times where he told my husband and I that "Nile" at to be done. So like most of us patients we listen, we wait, and we pray for the best. Unfortunately none of that paid off. My under eye filler was so noticeable it's all anyone saw, and my nose was so messed up. The top was sewn in on one side more than the other so one side literally sticks out. The bridge that had no issues before had two bumps on it. I had multiple sutures that didn't dissolve that had to be cut out in the side he sewed into too much. Jennifer sent a rude email on his behalf obviously telling my husband and I how precious his weekend time is and that we should not bother him. So we suffered in silence because he didn't want to hear the negativity caused by his carelessness and inability to understand our concerns. I went in to see him months later and he offered to do a revision but I don't believe in second chances when it comes to plastic surgery. The overall experience was terrible. He pretends to be this very sweet guy but after that email he had his ladies in pink send us we knew exactly his character. Now I'm heading to Turkey to have a revision because nobody wants to fix it in Toronto. I saw many plastic surgeons for revision consults and they all said he really messed up my nose. One went on to say "what the hell were you thinking having a rhinoplasty with a doctor who doesn't specialize in one specific surgery." Listen it's your hard earned money and more importantly your body. Do research, there are sooo many better plastic surgeons out there. DO YOUR RESEARCH PLEASE!

Blood gushed out like crazy at the time, and that's what happens when an artery is hit. He let me walk out of his office when he knows that I could have had horrible consequences, and should have been sent directly to a hospital. He tried to minimize the situation, and acted as if I was overreacting. His offer was 4 free vials of filler from another injector. 7 years later, my face is still a mess. I have constant headaches and jaw pain. I see that he continues to inject bellafill into patients after the horrendous result with me. I have been mentally unprepared to deal with this up until now, but I'm ready to share far and wide and seek action. I have been told by other doctors that had he been honest about what happened, treatment outcomes could have been much better. Now I have to deal with this forever. I strongly suggest you stay away from this doctor as he is unable to own anything he does, and put my life at risk letting me go home that day.
