Pro shop staff rude and unfriendly. Course is alright but wouldn't go back again. Go to Armitage.

Alright golf course but not worth the price they charge. People in the pro shop are pretty rude as well.

TUBING EXPERIENCE REVIEW We finally learned we had to drive…read moreback up to the pro shop to pay. Upon doing so I learned that all the emails back and forth for a group reservation were pointless because they weren't given a name anyway. Our group just assumed we were to go to the bus next to the tube building since there were no signs or greetings from the employees lingering around. We loaded the bus figuring that was what to do. There was an employee and a driver and neither said a word to us. None of has have gone tuning before. I finally asked where we were going. The answer was "the creek". Once parked we weren't given any information. We had a handicapped person with us and the place they dropped us was literally a steep muddy slope under a bridge. A couple people started to panic about just getting in this water with no clue what to expect. The kid finally told us that there was an exit sign as we were all already in the water that was flowing some away! That was it. No other information! The float was great. Many shallow parts and lots of wildlife. Now that I know what to expect I'd do it again for the $20 and then giving a bus ride and cooler. Do NOT come if you are disabled. Maybe they could find a flat entry spot for people who cant do a slope into a muddy uneven ditch. The fact that the whole thing was done basically in silence was bizarre and a little scary.

Re: Liberty Forge Golf - Youth Summer Camp…read more Poorly organized and run daycare center for children with very little golf skills taught. The leader of the camp program is a senior with low enthusiasm for managing the lessons for kids. His helpers are teens with not much experience golfing or managing children. A better idea is paying a skilled golfer hourly for private lessons rather than wasting your money on this train wreck experience.

Mayapple Golf Club - No water anywhere on the course, while charging $52 summer rates.

This used to be a fairly priced golf course, but after the recent price hikes I must post a review…read more They charge $52 to play and the course is in terrible condition, there is no water or any kind of beverage cart anywhere in the course. To add to it the pro shop workers are always disrespectful and rude. I had a good score here today but the condition of the course is unacceptable for the price. There a many other reasonable golf courses in the area.

I was disappointed with my experience at Mayapple. From the jump, service was slow and it took…read moreseveral minutes for our server to even find our table and introduce their self. It would have been a nice touch to have a drink menu on the table so we were able to decide on that before they arrived. Drinks were received, and it tasted like they topped off a third of their Tom Gore Cab with water. I know what a red wine tastes like, and this one tasted like a 33.3% profit margin. We kicked it off with an ant-size, overpriced portion of Bacon Wrapped Scallops. While the scallops were tender, the heat level on the chili sauce was kicked up to such a level that it would have been nice to at least have a glass of water on the table presented with our drinks. The appetizer was followed up with a Lobster Ravioli (again, overpriced) that was akin to something you'd find on the shelf at Pet Smart. It had *that* kind of seafood smell- the kind that makes you wonder if they're ever looking at the expiration dates on their products before throwing them on a plate and slopping a heavy cream sauce on top. No relief there whatsoever. In addition, we had the ribeye and requested a medium rare. The steak we received was not only completely flavorless, but WAY overdone. It took a solid minute to chew a single piece. And somehow, the steak was cold? I don't blame our server one bit, she was lovely and eager to please. She was very attentive once she was told she had guests. I did however see several instances of unprofessionalism with the front of house staff. Leaning over guests and kissing them on the back while you have your serving uniform on? Someone needs to communicate how to behave on the clock. It just was an overall uncomfortable experience, and I expect more from Mayapple- which was a previous mainstay of mine and always one of the first places in the area I recommended to work colleagues. I'd say, our meal was worth maybe $20 bucks as a whole- but we ended up with a whopping $90 check for two Entrees and an app. Never again. Get it together, management.
