Course management. Our group of 16 had tee times starting at 9:36, right after a senior shot gun league. Well, at 10:00 league players will still coming around to our #1 tee. Ranger saw our frustration, took our commish out to survey who remained, came back and told us to tee off (now 10:20) of #16 and #17. When we got there, pro shop dude came out and ordered us back to #1. We said NO, unless all 16 get full refunds. He called owner from 16th tee and got his blessing to let us proceded...45 minutes late. Next pic shows the condition of almost all fairways. read more

NOT Beginner or POC Friendly - Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience My fiancé (white and experienced golfer) took my sister, her partner, and me (Black and Hispanic, beginner golfers) for a day out at Rich Valley. While he's played here before without issue, our diverse group was met with clear hostility. Despite being courteous--letting faster players play through--we were aggressively confronted by an older white staff member who skipped any greeting or introduction and immediately scolded us for being "too slow", claiming she received 3 complaints about our group. Her tone, language, and attitude were clearly meant to make us feel unwelcome, and her strong suggestion that we either "hurry up" or return when the "weather isn't as nice" was a passive aggressive attempt to push us off the course. When I tried to explain how unprofessional and racially charged her approach was, she doubled down. Only then did she mention a beginner-friendly course available on the property. Something that she could've led with if inclusivity or customer service mattered to this establishment. This experience left us feeling dismissed, disrespected, and judged not just for our inexperience, but for who we are. Unfortunately, this experience also confirms the stereotype: Rich Valley Golf is still an exclusionary space and extremely out of touch. POC and new golfers--spend your money somewhere else where you're respected and welcomed. read more

This is a good course, particularly if you are trying to stay out of trouble. In recent years, there has been an obvious effort to improve customer service ... the improvement is notable As for the course, improved sand traps , far better management of the traps -- it all makes a difference. The negative ... for some reason divots seem to really "make a mark" on these greens. I have no idea why ... or if the golfers here are a little less caring. Overall ... a good day at the course. Weekends do get crowded. Note --- you cannot pay in advance here; not an issue .... the website and signup does not have all the bells and whistles but ... all is handled professionally All for now .... read more

The course is ok, the driving range is nice. However, my kids like to play mini golf after hitting some balls and this may be the worst maintained mini golf course I've ever seen!!! Either give it the attention it deserves, or get rid of it. Charging $20 or so for three to play on this travesty is ridiculous. read more

They cut & roll the greens every mourning before the golfers are out. The ruff is green and lush like the fairways. Their working on fixing the bad spots over the winter. Best & largest marked range in all central PA. Putting green by the range, and chipping green by the Pro shop. 3 hole course for new beginners. Home course for C.V.H.S. golf team. Mini putt with outdoor music. Great local place for weekend dinner, to get away from fast food. Great burgers! *NOT A WALK ON, MUST HAVE TEE TIME* Booking many increasing outings. read more

Miniature golf course needs a lot of attention! Weeds everywhere and some green carpet ripping. With all the months of quarantine and closed- a lot of landscaping work could have been done to make the miniature golf course attractive and ready for reopening. We were very surprised how neglected it looked. read more

Having never written a Yelp review previously, I felt most compelled to share what a terrible experience this "club" is.... Worst maintained course in the area. I defy you to play this course and not come away feeling like it is an absolute cow pasture that its current management has not cared enough to even try to upgrade. Pathetic tee boxes, chewed up fairways and greens that have had no upkeep. The layout is short, with no water, hardened traps...and wildly inaccurate distance markings. Current management is running this course, which is nestled into a very affluent, cozy corner of Mechanicsburg, into the ground. I have had the good fortune of playing at Oak Hill and The Greebrier....but I have also played on countless municipal courses in very sparsely populated areas...EACH of which were in far better condition than this wasted, damaged course. Not surprisingly, their staff...most particularly the owner's foul mouthed, unprofessional ineloquent daughter who had very demeaning things to say about the handicapped, are very reflective of this disastrous venue which should be renamed Recession Valley. Go ahead, waste your hard earned dollars and play this junkyard disguised as a golf course...You will absolutely be disappointed in its complete lack of aesthetics, charm and upkeep and you will walk away knowing you made a mistake being there. Their miniature golf looks just a bad...no upkeep, torn mats, nothing colorful or fun....just a complete mess and not at all a worthy family attraction. It is disgusting from start to finish...Recession Valley does not care about its patrons nor its reputation. In turn, I implore you to see for yourself.. you will only go there once. Like the owner's petite, charming daughter screamed when I politely inquired if the course had been watered or the greens tended to in the past month, "Go buy your own f'cking course! Go to Armitage or Liberty Forge golf clubs if you don't like it!".....We have played and LOVED both and will be back to them...along with: Range End, Riverview, Dauphin Highlands and even Valley Green clubs....each of which are ten times more scenic, well maintained and professionally run. Here's hoping this joke of a "club" receives it's fair share of any impending stimulus checks...Perhaps they can hire a landscaper or even a part time course maintenance employee to begin the completely uphill battle of salvaging this waste of space. Decent enough course with some enjoyable holes. Course was built in 2 phases - the back nine first and then after several years the front nine. That's why the course is really a tale of two nines. Front nine is more links style devoid of trees. The back has more trees but is still kind of open. The track is decent enough for the area, and the driving range is pretty good. They also have an 18-hole mini golf layout and another 9 hole starter layout. Truly challenging finish with 17 (a brute) and 18 (tough carry over water for 2nd). Greens are usually in good shape. The restaurant NoLo has a full bar for a post round drink and bite. read more

Good course and not too challenging. Usually doable to get an early tee time if you call near the beginning of the week. Front nine is fairly easy and newer than the back nine. Back nine has more challenging greens and a lot tougher holes especially 16 17 and 18. Cost for weekends before 12 is usually $42 which is higher than the typical municipal course in the area but just slightly. Very nice driving range and there are three practice holes which charge for their use but don't know any other courses in the area that offers that. read more
