    Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value…read moreFour year positive history until 2019 when something changed with this company and/or ownership. Would be zero stars if were an option. This review is not about the higher fees, as we did take a long time to get documents sent and had no issue paying more for good service. What this is about is unprofessional, offensive and incomplete service in receipt. I received a call stating we owe at least $20k in taxes, if not more after penalties & interest. As a small business, we hire another firm, a tax mediation specialist to review the situation, see what options exist and review for any errors. This is the exact response received from the owner: " I AM DISAPPOINTED AND INSULTED THAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT ANOTHER FIRM INVOLVED. WHAT THE F--CK YOU THINK THEY ARE GOING TO FIND? IT WILL BE FOR NOUGHT!!! " (JohnJ Kasperek, 4/2/21). If a screenshot could be included here, that would be done so, but this is a direct copy & paste, no paraphrasing nor editing. Turns out...it was NOT for nought. Tax mediation firm found at least (6) errors, totaling more than $100k of short-term loans they miscategorized as revenue, creating the false tax obligation. When contacted to fix their errors, after dodging our emails for the better part of a month, the response received was: "After getting a different firm involved with your books, you should have just had them prepare the business return to your satisfaction." Since then, they've refused to make the appropriate, necessary corrections of their errors, refused to provide a refund for the incomplete tax return, and have also tried to manipulate us into a hold harmless agreement, of which we've refused. The damage caused is temporarily influx and will most likely result in several thousands of dollars in another firm correcting all their errors and amending the original return, not including any late penalties. If this is the type of treatment and professionalism they provide, especially when their work credibility is called into question, I can't recommend this business to my nearest competitor or worst enemy. They should have their licensing revoked at minimum.

When I moved here I continued to bank in Iowa for 3 years before I finally opened an account here because "My Bank" isn't something I like to change. I walked into a couple different banks before selecting this one. I walk in and honestly interview them in my kind of way. This was the only bank that made me feel like I was at "My Bank". I will give a special thanks to Sheila and Heather. They made the transition very easy. I will also say that I am a face to face customer. I refuse to go through the drive through. I always walk in and do my business face to face. I haven't had any bad experiences there and I specifically like working with one teller that always calls me by name before I even walk up to the counter. (I wish I could remember her name, I'm very bad about that) I've had a couple issues with some bank charges and one call to Sheila and they have been taken care of.

In this case the young man that attempted to assist us was rude from the beginning. Body language indicted we were intruding on his otherwise carefree day. He treated our questions and documents with distain and I am surprised, being in banking myself for 17 years, that US Bank does not seem to wish to differentiate themselves by innovative products, enticing interested rates, or by training their employees that customers are required if they intend to stay in business. With the regulatory pressure eliminating true service innovation and product ingenuity from the marketplace, you would think it would be a great opportunity to do the one thing the government has not been able to identify let alone practice, Customer Service. I cant close my accounts with US Bank fast enough.
