The shuttle was there waiting when we got out of the concert and left promptly after all passengers arrived.

However, a lot of riff raff and rough people because this is where Caltrain bumps off non-paying riders and unhygienic homeless people. Lots of strangers hanging out at all hours, but none of them particularly dangerous. No toilets, no restrooms, no water, only benches. Tolerable if you are waiting for a train. Now featuring a Lot Cop for reduced car break-ins. Original Greyhound Terminal now owned and operated by Samtrans. No Public Access and No Greyhound service, but is an interesting building to look at. Makes we wish we had regional bus service to the Coast, it would connect well with Caltrain. NOTE ! Greyhound does still serve Redwood City one block away at 850 Winslow Street .. outside an abandoned store. At 12 AM Only. With service like this you're better off taking Samtrans or Caltrain. I used the "Throne" branded "free" toilet paid by my tax money. The entry process with the QR code and SMS text message was interesting, but functional. Of writing, this is a brand new, unused unit with no graffiti, trash or discoloration. TP was fully stocked, all plumbing/electrical worked and the toilets/sink function as expected with clean water. Fully ADA Compliant with NO issues with the access ramp.

I found that Palo Alto was sunny and warmer than Berkeley CA. Berkeley started to feel less comfortable and Palo Alto shopping center was a nicer oasis. The two Caltrain stations at Palo Alto and Menlo Park are very interesting to visit. The Menlo Park station features an old Victorian building that is painted fresh but not in use. Nearby is Philz and El Camino Real. Walking distance to Caltrain. It's 2025 now. The next stops are Redwood and San Carlos. Worth visiting and trying Caltrain after all this time. Unlike other stations, Menlo Park CalTrain is quite safe and not suffering from a homeless encampment problem. You can choose to purchase you ticket at the station itself (before the train arrives!) or opt to purchase it via their mobile app (which I suggest, as its more convenient and allows you to get there a little later). It's great a small suburban neighborhood has a CalTrain that gives it such easy access to other parts of the Bay Area.

What many do not appreciate is how vast the campus of Stanford University is. Bikes are an…read moreessential part of student life as is the Marguerite Shuttle The concept of free transportation predates the founding of the University. Back then (1880's) Leland Stanford operated a free horse buggy that moved people from the train station to what was his Summer estate (now the vast university). By 1909 there were street cars that performed the task. In 1963 with a subsidy from the city of Palo Alto, the service transitioned to buses. Finally in 1973, Stanford began funding the service completely. The name "Marguerite" is taken from the first horse that pulled the wagon back in 1880. Today the service discoverer the vast University main complex. It also makes runs to the two Caltrain stations in Palo Alto, as well as a spur that heads over to Mountain View, a line to the East Bay, and to the SLAC complex. The Marguerite is free, and you can catch it at any of the stops dotted through the campus or along its routes. The buses can be quite crowded during events and commute times. The service is making a transition to all electric as well as hybrid buses, but they still rely on diesel ones as well. The buses are usually clean and well maintained and at least during the day the buses are pretty frequent. As with most transportation systems they do have different hours for nights, holidays, and weekends so plan accordingly. They do have an app that will have schedules and live updates to make it even more convenient to use.

The transit.511 directions were incredibly confusing (and inaccurate) and the bus sign is fairly hidden from view by another sign but the driver was polite and helpful and I got where I needed to go on time. Be aware that the "Live" VTA they tout isn't actually updated yet for this shuttle. So beyond waiting at the stop, you will have no idea when the next shuttle might show. All in all it helped me out today, but if I had to use this daily I'd go crazy.

I have had some colleagues mentioned that they used NLS Transportation for their weddings and other special occasions and thought I would try them for this corporate retreat. Contacted Rashad a month in advance letting him know what I was needing and he gave me the best recommendations ranging from how many seats I will truly need in the limo to the amount of time I would want to spend in Livermore. He was also accommodating to the point that I didn't need a set itinerary of the wineries we were planning on visiting until the day of the trip. I also appreciated the various reminders I had for their upcoming services that ranged from a week out reminder, day before reminder and day of reminder. Other Pros: -Service was beyond everything I expected! Our limo driver showed up at least 15 minutes prior to our set pick up time, ready to start our excursion. He didn't not rush us out of the hotel, he just informed us that he would be outside ready to go whenever we were ready. -The limo was fully stocked with ice, waters and cocktail glasses. -The limo was polished and clean both the exterior and interior. -Our driver took the time before our departure to show us how to navigate through the radio/music system in the back of the limo. -There was also large trunk space for room to store extra waters, bags and other miscellaneous items we wanted to pack. -At every stop, our limo driver provided his contact information where we could text him prior to our next departure on our next location and was waiting for us out front of each stop when we were ready to leave. -I will say chivalry is not dead-our driver was super polite but opened the car door every time which is a quality and trait I truly admire the most. -He was also kind and offered to take some of our group photos either in front of the limo or in front of the establishment without us asking. Again, that is something I also admire because the group I traveled with is very picture happy. In the end our trip had extended over the time frame I had booked. We had asked our driver if this was going to be a problem and it wasn't. He was very accommodating and didn't rush us to leave. I really appreciated the flexibility he provided on the spot. Overall I was beyond ecstatic of the service that was provided for this work retreat. Hands down, I would use NLS Transportation again for future work retreats and would highly recommend this company to any friend or colleague who is in need of any kind of car service they provide. The rates were very competitive and affordable in my book and the service from start to finish was flawless.

My wife told me driver was pushy as she expressed her concern about getting in the car without one. Driver was very rude and told her she would be charged whether she got in the car or not and expressed that she had to hurry and make a decision because he had another trip that she was going to make him late for. She ended up getting in and driver was weaving in and out of traffic driving recklessly and fast, she asked him if he could slow down a little because she was feeling uneasy. He then told her that he's driving faster because she made him late to begin with. I called to complain about everything and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Rashad and a gentleman he was NOT. Rashad told me that the original driver couldn't make it and another one was sent and that these things happen, he was NOT remorseful at all and was pretty much laughing at the matter with his response being sh*t happens sometimes and began to tell me if my family got in the car when the driver got there he wouldn't of drove like that. Horrible Experience!!! If I could give negative stars I would.
