I cannot recommend this dance studio enough! I initially had trouble finding a good dance studio in…read moreAlaska, but I'm so glad I came across this one--hands down, it's the best. Michelle, the main instructor, was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the challenging process of pursuing my dream to dance. I wasn't sure where to start, what classes to take, or how to move forward, but she made it so much easier. I've been attending for six weeks now, and I absolutely love it! I'm finally doing what I've always dreamed of, and it feels amazing. You don't have to be crazy talented or have any prior experience. There are multiple instructors who are so supportive and help guide you every step of the way. I've had such an incredible time and can't wait to continue on to the next class!

People are friendly and welcoming to visitors esp since local community is fairly small. Beginners welcome and they toss in a fun dance class at the beginning. Data for dancers: Ratio of songs are 4 bachata: 4 salsa: 2 zouk/kizomba/merengue, with a bias towards whatever dance was taught that night. Danced mainly as a lead and didn't run out of dances. :) For salsa, more on1 than on2 dancers (music leans Romantica). I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in Anchorage on a Friday night! :)

I grew up in the Chicago area, and was actively trained in ballet, jazz & contemporary at my studio…read morethere until I finished college, which much to my dismay was almost 10 years ago. Dance has always been a passion of mine, and I greatly missed training in my adult life. I figured now that I live in a new state dance could be a fun way to connect me with new people who share similar interests. Upon searching for adult classes I stumbled upon Studio Pulse. They offer a wide variety of adult classes including Hip-hop, yoga, and a burlesque inspired class at their sister studio, The Annex. I was interested in their adult ballet classes, and lucky for me they were offering a 10 week series for people with ballet experience. I immediately emailed to ask about the class, and make sure I wasn't about to get my butt handed to me in front of a bunch of 16 year olds. The owner, Stephanie, was super prompt in her email reply, and let me know if I didn't feel comfortable with the skill level of the class I could drop down to the beginner course. I immediately signed up! On the first day of my 10 week series I was greeted by Stephanie, who showed me around the studio and made me feel so welcomed. Stephanie and the front desk staff are always very pleasant and friendly. They are also taking COVID precautions seriously, which shows they care about their staff and students. The studio is a really nice space with a great lounge for the young dancers to socialize in between training. Everything is clean and well maintained. The intermediate/adv adult ballet class is taught by Liz, who is an excellent ballet teacher. She is very passionate about ballet, and puts together great barre and floor work. They teach several styles of dance at this studio, and have the classes broken up by age/skill level. They also have a dance company that is on a try out basis. It seems they put on several showcases a year where the students can show off what they learn. The studio also has a lot of class variety for adult dancers of all skill levels. I am very happy I found this studio, and will be looking into taking another class series once this one ends. If my children are ever interested in dance I will definitely be enrolling them at this studio.

Stephanie the owner put out incredible free classes for use during quarantine, and now is taking sanitizing and distancing super seriously for in person classes! Check them out if you're looking for great workouts, you won't be sorry.

My daughter was in Tap 1. She struggled in this class with the students and teacher Emily. What…read morewas suppose to be fun and building self esteem turned into devastation. One day she came home and cried for two hours because she was required to make the teacher laugh and couldn't. She thought she was responsible for the class not getting a popsicle party. They did not get a party that day. The final straw was the recital in Anchorage. There were four days that we were to drive in. On the first and last day we were there as required at 3p.m. We were the 2nd class to perform on stage. When we were not called I found Emily and asked her why. She said we were passed over. There were runners to tell everybody everything but we were told nothing. That was 2 1/2 hours later. My daughter was crushed. She had her costume and dreamed of being on stage. The recital cost around 180.00 and of course is non refundable. She is signed up for the fall semester and of course that is non refundable. Check it out before your child becomes a student.

Atmosphere of this studio is always encouraging.Very suitable for children, choice of songs is age appropriate.Dance lessons offered for adults as well.To my knowledge this studio trained students , who choose dance as a career and joined professional dance companies.I have been taking lessons at Dancers Workshop for few years now and I am very pleased with a company. It is a little pricey in comparison with couple other studios in town, but the quality is the best and I personally would not trade quality for quantity.Dancers workshop is holding up to a great standard in all categories.

When something is broken the gym manager makes sure it get fixed within the next few days. The gym members recognize how great the facility is and respect the equipment-a nice change of pace. The staff is amazing, they are real people who greet you and say goodbye, they have conversations with you and care about how your day is going. One last thing is that this gym is on the more expensive side, and doesn't offer family packages. Which for someone who takes working out seriously will appreciate as little kids will not be wandering. This also weeds out many highschoolers from joining the gym-no complaints here. All in all, this gym stands above the rest and I will forever compare any and all gyms to this one!
