I'm nearly 40 and didn't think I was in bad shape however after just 6 months with Andy at Ludus the changes I have seen in myself have really surpassed any and all expectations I had. Andy is great to work with, he is really encouraging and takes the time to explain the science behind the training. He is sneaky though so make sure you keep count of your reps and don't think for a second battle ropes are fun, they're not....they're evil. That being said I am very grateful for the work he has put in with me and I can't recommend Ludus Fitness enough, perfect for beginners like me who are put off by massive gyms and could do with a point in the right direction. 10/10

He monitors what you are doing to make sure you are doing the movements correctly and at the right level. Roger also jointly runs a Dorset Doddler's beginner running group. I am one of the very slow runners but Roger has always made me feel comfortable and given me excellent advice. I think the combination of his classes and the beginner's running group is helping to improve my running standard and overall fitness. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mercury Fitness.

Well it sounds like you need maximum outlay for minimum input. That's not quite what Pro-Fitness offers, but the results in just a few months were better than my own disastrous efforts to hit the gym. At around £40 an hour it is more for Clifton's yummy mummies than average scrubbers like me, so it's no wonder I couldn't keep the sessions up once I'd cornered my man. But the team here are really dedicated and really know their stuff. They tailor-make work-outs and chop and change them so often that you can't get bored. And they give you the confidence and impetus to work harder for every single second of a 60-minute work-out. They are also great at advising altered work-outs if you are injured, pregnant, or getting over an illness. The facilities are a little cramped but the gym's owner Lee works hard to change things around. And every trainer has a speciality. If I was loaded, I would be here every day. Maybe one day perhaps......
