Rhodes Chevrolet in Van Buren AR 2800 Alma Hwy Van Buren AR 72956 US This past August my wife and I were on a four week road-trip from Portland Oregon heading to Memphis Tenn then on to Charleston SC and Savannah GA. Just outside Van Buren, AR in my C7 Corvette a message flashed in the DIC display saying the power steering system required immediate service. Given this is a low mileage car this message was quite unexpected. Given the fact we had hotel reservations and plans every night for the next three weeks we could ill afford to spend a day or more getting the car looked at or repaired. It would absolutely ruin our vacation plans. I quickly searched for nearby Chevrolet dealer. I spoke with the Service Manager, Daniel Dutton at Rhodes Chevrolet in Van Buren Arkansas and explained our situation. He offered to have it flat-bedded to the dealership and assured me given we where on vacation he would get his best guy (a Corvette Specialist) on it as soon as it arrived. We were only 30 minutes away so I elected to drive it to the dealership. The moment we pulled into the service bay even through it was full of cars Daniel and two members of his team checked me in and got to running diagnostics on the car. At this point I should say on our way to the dealership the power steering message turned off and OnStar was no longer showing any problem. After about 30 minutes and multiple tests and inspections it was determined there was nothing wrong with the power steering system and we could continue on our grand vacation. It was a relief to both my wife and I that we would not have to cancel the rest of our long planned vacation. We just returned home after completing our trip and did not have any problem or messages about the power steering. To find a service manager and team this dedicated to help out a total stranger speaks volumes about this dealership. Lots of good reviews, but don't get on their legal side. My aunt was killed before she could pick up the car she had bought from this place. Now they want over $700 from her estate even though the car never left the lot and they will be able to sell it again. Seems excessive. I would never go here even they were giving away cars. Hunter took a couple of test drives with me and my daughter and answered all of our questions. The loan process was fast. Darren had us approved with a payment that fit our budget. I stopped there to get an oil change. While I was there, I decided to see if I could trade my truck in on a SUV. They actually gave me more of a trade in value than I had expected. Paul, the salesperson, was very helpful and courteous. He and Richard in the finance department got me approved on a perfect SUV, but then my husband didn't like it. The team, got that deal undone and got me into a different one. Finally, I decided I wanted a vehicle that they did not have in stock. The entire team at Rhodes worked so hard to get me the vehicle that I really wanted. I appreciate their patience and diligence in getting me that vehicle instead of sticking me with one that my husband and I couldn't both love. We love our new red Equinox.
