They came out the same day, went up on the roof, and quickly identified a small hole that two other companies completely missed. Both of those companies quoted me around $2,500, saying I would need to remove fascia and gutters--without even inspecting the roof properly. Bill White Roofing was honest, straightforward, and saved me from unnecessary work and costs. It's so refreshing to deal with people who truly care about doing the right thing. I will absolutely be referring them to all of my neighbors and will continue to call them for any roofing needs in the future.

Bill and his crews did a great job of fixing the roof leak! It hasn't been leaking so far after the fix on 12/6/2021. Although they are not the cheapest among the vendors offering to fix the roof, they were very responsive, offered a great quality of work and a 10 years warranty! While all the other contractors I talked to needed at least 2 - 4 weeks before actually fixing it, Bill did the inspection himself and was able to schedule the work in about 3-4 days! His crews, Mario and another man who can't speak much English took just 1 day to install the new valley membrane and finish all the patching. And they cleaned up all the garbage promptly. There were only 2 things I was a little bit concerned about, which Bill promptly and patiently answered. (1) It's a bit cloudy/rainy on 12/6, so I was worried that might affect their work and was wondering if Bill wanted to reschedule. But Bill, based on his experience, assured me that they would be able to finish the work before the rain, and it shouldn't have any impact. (2) It's stated on the contract that the valley roofing material will be "new Firestone roofing with black mineral surface", but eventually what's installed is "Firestone SBS White". Bill explained that the white one would be a better fit because a silver coating is needed for the black one, and with Firestone SBS White, the silver coating is not needed. I am really glad and appreciate that Bill took the time to patiently and promptly address my concerns, and explained everything thoroughly to me! And he is very flexible with the payment methods as well! Overall, Bill and his teams did an awesome job! Thank you very much for the hard work! And I will post an update in 3 months - 1 year if anyone is interested!

I would have an appointment the next day, with a 2-4pm window (at the end of the day)." I wasn't interested in sitting around again with the possibility of a no-show and no notice or call. I answered, "No. Not interested in your service now or in the future." Given the big hype on their phonemail about customer service and happy customers, the cavalier attitude (after I arranged my schedule and was forced to re-schedule my yard clean-up ,etc because of the no-show, and would have to hire another contractor) surprised me. Almost as surprised as when the Spotless truck appeared in the morning many days later, and I repeated to the crew leader that I had terminated Spotless. Shortly afterward, I received an email that my appointment was canceled. The "family" crew that I hired was reasonably priced, efficient, and honest. Best wishes to others who had more positive experiences with Spotless.

After they no-show that window, they wanted to come at a time in the afternoon where I couldnt be there (doctor's appt). I was told they could come after, which, of course, they no-showed again. No apology, no text that they were coming, no phone call that they weren't. When I call to complain, the person on the phone claimed they arrived some time after 11 (which was a complete fabrication - I was home at the time and my ring camera would have caught it). So this company is unreliable, unprofessional, and apparently liars. Take a hard pass on this company.

After speaking with multiple contractors who only suggested temporary patch repairs, we hired Royal Renovators Inc. to properly investigate the issue. Once Mike and his crew opened the wall system, they discovered the original stucco installation had been done incorrectly by previous contractors. There was significant hidden moisture damage and rotted substrate underneath the stucco from improper waterproofing details and defective installation methods. It was honestly shocking to see this level of failure on a Brooklyn new construction condo that is only four years old. The project had very difficult access conditions, but the crew handled everything professionally and safely. Instead of covering up the problem, they fully removed the damaged sections, repaired the rotted substrate, and rebuilt the waterproofing and stucco system correctly. Mike was responsive throughout the project and took the time to explain exactly where the failures occurred and how they were fixing them properly. Since the work was completed, we have gone through several heavy rain storms without a single leak or moisture issue. The building finally feels protected the way it should have from the start. If anyone in Brooklyn is dealing with leaking stucco, waterproofing failures, or defective new construction work, I highly recommend Renovators Inc.

    ## **Detailed Review of Royal Renovators (Experience from ~2023) **…read more My experience with Royal Renovators in 2023 was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and ultimately costly. I normally don't leave reviews, but the level of incompetence and deception I encountered deserves to be shared so others can avoid the same situation. ### **1. Repeated Misdiagnoses and Unnecessary Charges** We originally contacted Royal Renovators because our roof was leaking. They came out twice and still couldn't identify the source of the problem. Each visit came with new explanations and new charges, none of which made sense in hindsight. Eventually, they claimed they had finally found the issue and charged us approximately **$4,800** for the repair. We trusted their assessment and paid, hoping the leak would finally be resolved. ### **2. Leak Still Present -- and More Confusion** The next time it rained, the leak was still there. Same spot, same issue. When we called them back, they used a drone to inspect the roof but still couldn't figure out what was wrong. Their uncertainty was alarming. We ended up using **our own drone**, and we were the ones who actually located the problem area. When we pointed it out to them, they insisted the leak was coming from the chimney area -- which was completely incorrect. At that point, it was obvious they were guessing, not diagnosing. ### **3. The Skylight Disaster** While they were assessing the roof leak, we made the mistake of agreeing to have a skylight installed at the same time. That turned out to be another huge error. The skylight they installed looks like a **DIY project**, not professional work. It has a **constant draft**, and when the weather gets cold, the draft is unbearable. It's clear they had no idea what they were doing, and the workmanship reflects that. Instead of adding value to our home, the skylight became another problem we had to live with. ### **4. Lack of Professionalism and Skill** Between the misdiagnosed leak, the sloppy skylight installation, and the inconsistent explanations, it became clear that the workers and foremen lacked the knowledge and professionalism expected from a roofing company. Their priority seemed to be collecting payments, not fixing the actual issues. ### **5. A Competent Company Fixed Everything** We finally decided to get a second opinion and found **2BQ Roofing**. The difference was immediate. They assessed the roof and instantly identified the real issue -- something Royal Renovators failed to do after multiple visits and thousands of dollars. 2BQ Roofing fixed the problem correctly, and here we are **three years later with not a single drop of water**. That alone speaks volumes. ### **6. Final Thoughts** I would never recommend Royal Renovators to anyone. Their service was unprofessional, their workers were incompetent, and their repeated misdiagnoses cost us time, stress, and money. The skylight installation was just the final confirmation that they were not capable of doing the job. If you're looking for a roofing company that actually knows what they're doing, skip Royal Renovators entirely. Our experience with them was a complete waste, and the only real solution came from hiring a different company.

Without coming to evaluate they stated its the drain not the roof. They kept making excuse, finally after threats, they came and tar around the drain and fixed the landing. Well they both still continue to leak. I had a plumber/ drain man evaluate and he stated the drain is fine the roof leaked around the drain pipe , he stated one of the pipe was not sealed. The leak had destroyed the plywood around the drain & the apartment is taken in water. I three way the plumber with Alex Stewart and he informed of above. Alex told me he would reach out to his father and get back to me with a plan. I never heard back from him and now it's May. He has not answered calls, text, or emails. I'm an architect and my wife's an engineer, so we went deep into the search for a Brooklyn roofing contractor. Not as easy as you'd think: most companies chase bigger commercial gigs, and finding someone solid who actually cares about residential work took some digging. We ended up hiring NY Roofing. They handled everything--ripped out the rotted wood decking, added DensDeck recovery board so we're set up for a future rooftop solar setup, laid down a cold process SBS modified bitumen roof, reinforced every detail with liquid flashing, and hooked us up with a heavy-duty 6K commercial gutter system to finally fix the drainage mess. The crew finished the whole job in just two working days, right on schedule. They kept the site spotless and really watched out for our property and our neighbors--super considerate. Honestly, their professionalism, speed, and workmanship blew us away. If you need reliable roofing or waterproofing help in Brooklyn, I'd recommend NY Roofing without hesitation.

After multiple failed repair attempts over the years, the board decided to take direct control of the process and conduct a thorough search for a qualified roofing contractor. After a rigorous interview process, we selected NY Roofing for a full roof replacement. From the beginning, their level of preparation and professionalism stood out. They mobilized an 18 person crew along with a knuckle boom crane to efficiently remove debris and transport materials to the roof, allowing the project to move quickly and safely. Our building has a complex roofing structure with a concrete slab deck, which required a more specialized assembly than a standard roofing system. NY Roofing installed a proper vapor barrier to address condensation issues that the original developer had failed to include, along with high R-value insulation to significantly improve the building's energy efficiency. The roof replacement was completed in 2017, and we are pleased to report that in the nine years since installation we have not experienced a single leak. As a board, we take vendor recommendations seriously because they affect every resident in the building, and NY Roofing proved to be a contractor we could confidently stand behind. For any condominium board or property owner looking for a reliable Park Slope or Brooklyn roofing contractor for a full roof replacement or waterproofing project, we would highly recommend NY Roofing.
