If you visit, pick up one of the flights they allow you to taste different wines and figure out what works best with your pallet. I thought I was a red girl until I experienced the white sparkling wine at RgNY. After having the flight you absolutely have to grab a bottle and enjoy the ambiance. Not overly priced, just a long ride from the city. They explained to me that day no food was available but also I didn't mind, I came for the wine and experience. Our visit to RGNY was an unexpected stop during a long ride home but it was the best decision ever! The Ole Cheese Board was delicious and the rosè was amazing, I left with two extra bottles! The vineyard is beautiful, spacious, clean and my husband and I were greeted by Donna who helped us choose the perfect wine and gave us the warmest welcome. Really beautiful vineyard. I've been a couple times and they have really great group deals as well as individual glasses. (You can get a bottle per person, charcuterie, a dessert and a non alcoholic drink for about $60 per person if I remember correctly.) Wide open space to walk around and you're able to walk right through the vines of grapes as well. It's nice inside if you prefer indoor seating. A pleasant North Fork winery experience. It's a little further east than the Riverhead postal address would seem to indicate. The grounds are beautiful but are not as well utilized as at some other properties. There are shaded tables near the vines, but these were not in use on the day of our visit - due to "sprinkler testing." We were almost relegated to the dark interior, but our server managed to put together a table on the concrete area by the entrance. The next two parties asked for the same accommodation. On a beautiful day you definitely want to be outside. Had the RG flight which comprised decent pours of Viognier, White Merlot, Sparking White, and Pinot Noir. Except for the White Merlot, I thought the wines were quite good and purchased bottles. Instead of the White Merlot. I bought an additional red. La Portena was pleased with a glass of Riesling. Again, a good pour at $9.00. We had the lobster sliders and the charcuterie board. Both were solid efforts - However, I would give the nod to Croteaux's sliders over these and Wolffer's charcuterie is slightly better than what is served here. I would certainly return. read more

So the winery is beautiful! I was with a group of 15 and they were very accommodating when it came to seating to make sure we were all comfortable. We did "The Experience" in which you get to sample 4 different wines paired with 5 different curated food samples. They have a very small food menu so it might be best to eat before consuming all that wine lol. I will note that they were sold out of the lobster sliders and it was only 1:30 PM. Another thing that was disappointing is that the women's rest room smelled horrible and was not very clean. I definitely did not expect the bathrooms to be so dirty. We ended a nice bachelorette weekend at this winery for a tasting. The outdoor area was spacious and perfect for our party of 11. The flights had decent pours and I liked that they walked us through a pairing with some cheeses, meats, and chocolate. While our reservation was for two hours they were very generous in allowing us to stay an extra hour, where we got a few more bottles to enjoy. The property was gorgeous and the staff was super friendly. The bathrooms were a bit far from where our tented area was, but not un-doable. I recently visited with high hopes since a friend said they had a great experience. Well that didn't happen. We walked into the winery and waited for a hostess for 5 minutes. Then we were told we could sit at a nearby table. The table was dirty so since I couldn't find any staff available I had to clean it myself with towels from the bathroom. We waited 20 mins for someone to give us a menu. The wine was not horrible but the guacamole tasted like the store bought type (squeezed from a bag) with a few tomato chunks on top. I'd recommend going to Jamesport Brewery instead. read more

I celebrated my birthday at RGNY. We booked the greenhouse experience. None of us had ever been to RGNY property. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was. It was the day after a big rain and wind storm and it was still cloudy out, but still so amazingly pretty. The had sustained damage to a few of the greenhouses. Thank goodness there was one available. We arrived and were taken to the greenhouse pretty quickly. It was so cute. We'll decorated and quite warm considering the frigid weather we had been experiencing. The food was surprisingly delicious. Much better than expected. And, the portions were perfect. They had games to play that we enjoyed a lot. They also had a wifi speaker that we could play music on. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you RGNY, we will be back. read more

I don't mind paying for what I'm getting when it comes to quality food. There is a restaurant in Jericho, NY called OPUS Steak House that is incredibly fantastic. I cannot say enough about it but it is very expensive. They do deals during the week and they charge top dollar on the weekends. I leave there every time feeling incredibly satisfied and feeling like I have gotten what I paid for. Hands down! My motivation for this review is the complete opposite. I know full well that when I left this so-called vineyard I got screwed royally. The winery is called RGNY, Jamesport NY. Now that I've compared expensive places here on Long Island let me be more specific and compare one winery to another. The waitress was fantastic kind great smile and attentive. And that's where it ends. The place is not high end the potato chips obviously came out of a bag before they ended up on my plate and how on earth can you charge $37 for a lobster roll and put it on a plate joined by nothing but that same bag of potato chips? You can put a fancy grill faux wall between the tables and these so-called kitchen which was nothing more than a long counter but you can not hide what is going on. When you pay $37 for a lobster roll on a hot dog bun, which is what i think it was today, you expect to see a chef not some young college guy ripping the bag open and pouring bags of chips aren't your plate to join the hot dog bun and the less than quality lobster. A glass of wine was $17.00. Let me say that again. One glass of wine was $17.00 period now let's put that into perspective. The average price of a bottle of wine on Long Island and throughout our country is $9.99 they claimed that this wine is from Mexico. I would imagine they walked it from Mexico to here because only that could justify charge in $37 for a lobster roll that isn't fresh shoved into a hot dog rolll joined by a bag of chips made from wise or some other boisterous marketer. They are too cheap to print out menus and expect you to scan your phone on a QR code in order to see what they offer in this less than fine establishment. Again using that $37 lobster roll as my point of reference because that's what I 8 I would imagine a nice menu printed out with a artistic banner and place inside of a foe leather display would suffice but no I had to scan a QR code adhered to my unleveled table in order to understand and see what they offered. What was being made by the college guy with his sleeves rolled up and his button down shirt with stains and a pair of skinny jeans which sneakers. Think about that. You're paying $37 for a lobster roll and the guy making it is wearing sneakers. RG NY is screwing its customers clearly hoping on tourists. It is indeed a tourist trap and does not expect anybody to return. Unless of course they stopped by the local bank and to get along cold the quote I'm about to get screwed in jamesport" bone. I do not write a lot of reviews but when the place motivates me or insults me I start typing. RGM why is not a vineyard it's not a winery I doubt any of it comes from Mexico and I highly do not recommend this place to stop by and use the toilet. I compare everything to pinned art because I think they are the best on Long Island. Though I do miss hargrave. Pindar is kind airy professionally run and their wine is fantastic. Erin who was the Coordinator for my Daughters wedding on 9-26-2020 was totally inexperienced for the job she was hired to do. Covid changed my daughters wedding. It was cancelled due to the restrictions on number of people allowed to attend. We were working with Erin before the cancellation and it was very difficult and impossible to get a response from Erin in a timely manor. My daughter was so frustrated at all the unreturned calls and emails that were not answered for days. When you are first planning a wedding you need quick answers to get the vendors all set for the perfect day. We had already signed a contract so we were kind of stuck with Erin. We were making the best of it and were just hoping that the "day of" Erin would be able to put on her party dress and handle the event at the wedding barn. Covid forced us to cancel and the treatment my daughter received because of this was horrible. First they told her that she could reschedule without a fee and at first we thought great! Then the screwing began. She was told that she could not reschedule her date until the beginning of July. Little did we realize that Erin was taking deposits for new and future wedding for the next year, so when my daughter was trying to reschedule her date, no Saturday dates were available until late Sept. my daughter did not want to wait another year and told them that she wanted a refund because of Covid. Well they took her deposit and then some. Set up a payment plan to give her the rest of the money which the final payment they don't get until after the original date of the wedding. The final kick in the shins was that they forced them to take an $1875. gift card to the tasting room at the winery and my Daughter and Son-in-law live sober lives, and Erin was fully aware of of this fact. Who could ever use a gift card like that when they don't really serve any food of substance. They took our last payment of cash that we paid in April and forced the gift card on us knowing full well my daughter could not get married on 9-26-2020. Erin stated, RGNY needs to make a living. But three sentences later told us that of all the weddings they had to reschedule only two were totally cancelled. Buyer beware of the wine scam. The wines are too new to have any real taste, in a few years hopefully that will change, But they are watery. You must purchase a wine package and until they cancelled we had no idea what that was going to cost. Erin could not give us a straight answer on the amount of the wine contract (like everything else) $15,000. For the site fee wasn't crazy, and if two cancelled weddings were going to put them out of business, the rebranding of RGNY isn't going well. Hopefully they will still be in business for next years wedding season for all the brides that rescheduled. The final deal my daughter and her husband were given came down from upper management of RGNY. My daughters backyard wedding was better than the wedding barn ever could have been! She was married this past weekend and all our guests were amazed at how elegant and spectacular a backyard wedding can be. With the right caterer, florist, DJ and photographer, anything is possible! read more

I enjoyed my trip here ! We made reservations beforehand, but there was plenty of seating set up under tents. The flights were also the biggest pour I've ever seen at any of the LI vineyards - so you get your money's worth. The only thing I didn't love, was that it's pretty much self-serve. You have to wait on a line to get your food/wine and carry everything back yourself. Not ideal in the 95 degree summer. Due to the governor's mandate that food be purchased with alcohol, they had a tub of chips (Doritos, Cheetos, lays) to purchase for a couple dollars - kinda clever/funny. I had a terrible experience at RGNY. My family spent the day out east and going to different wineries. We visited a very nice and calm winery a few mins down the road. We didn't need a reservation or anything. We ordered wine and sat at this winery's picnic tables....then we went to RGNY. We arrive to RGNY, large outdoor space. We see lots of open picnic tables. We go to the main check-in area and they say you need a reservation...ok cool, no problem. I walk to the outdoor bar. Keep in mind, I am dressed in a polo and khakis. I ask the bartender if I can order drinks from him...like any other bar. He says do you have a reservation, I said no and that I was hoping to have a glass of wine, standing relaxing...He say's what kind of place do you think this is and I see him walk off. About 5 mins later, keep in mind I'm still standing close to the bar, waiting for my dad to come from the gift shop...the bartender, the main woman that was at the check-in table AND SECURITY came to make sure that I wasn't sitting at the picnic tables. All three came up to me as if I did something wrong. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE?!?!?!? Meanwhile...we went to another winery a few mins down the road and sat at picnic tables without reservations and purchasing wine. We will never come back to RGNY and I suggest you don't do the same. read more

We tried 2 different flights and got 2 bottles after, with popsicles. The strawberry lemonade and spicy mango popsicles are both very good. The Bad/Confusing: Reservations are required, but there isn't any table service. Guests are instructed to join a tremendous line to order tastings, glasses, bottles and snacks... Talk about social distancing!! (See photo.) Also. Only one employee servicing all of these guests? RGNY, it seems that you're truly making an effort to adhere to all of the various protocols. I was very disappointed when I stopped by. I loved going to Martha Clara before it was sold and was looking forward to seeing the new transformation. The wines are okay, but you could not create your own tasting flight, which was disappointing since tasting flights for four wines started at $15. The customer service was inadequate, especially since there were four groups of customers and two employees available. We received the vibe that we were unworthy of being waited on. The animals from Martha Clara are no longer present, yet there are still tables and chairs outside. This vineyard currently does not have anything special that would make me want to visit again. My friend and I came out on a Saturday to what was fairly empty when we arrived and were told they weren't accepting walk-ins bc they were completely booked, but said we could go sit in the Adirondack chairs and order from their shipping container. We each got a tasting and sat down to enjoy, but the wine was so bad we ended up pouring them out in the grass and leaving. Great marketing, cute spot, but the wine is undrinkable. read more

My wife and I went to RGNY a few weeks ago. We have been going to Martha Clara for years and have always had positive experiences. We specifically went because East End Trio band was playing. Everything with the exception of the band was extremely disappointing. The RGNY wines that we tried weren't great, however I understand it's new and might take some time to get the wine right. They were extremely under staffed which took away any chance of having someone talk to us about the wines. We initially went to the bar and each got a glass of wine. Due to the lack of staff this was a little more chaotic than it needed to be. Then we went outside to listen to the band and I noticed I was over charged for the glasses of wine. Turns out I was charged for two bottles instead of two glasses... That's okay mistakes happen. I went back in to rectify it and it turns out only the manager was able to reverse the transaction and it took about an hour for that to happen due to them not having a working staff. While I was waiting inside I was able to observe the interactions with the other guests and it was not welcoming to say the least. Almost borderline rude at some points. Certainly not what you would expect for a Vinyard. After we finally had the situation fixed we just found another Vinyard that was fantastic and went there instead. It's a shame because historically when the East End Trio played at Martha Clara we would stay there almost all afternoon, likely get a few glasses of wine, cheese, food etc. It will likely be a few years before I go to back to RGNY. Just too many other options on the North Fork. read more

I had the best experience visiting RGNY! I was there last year and found it enjoyable. Was surprised with all the renovations they did in just one year. The place is very cozy and friendly, loved the new decorations and the new generation of wines. They still have some good Martha Clara bottles, but I have to say their Scielo Sauvignon is to die for! We booked an outdoor area for a party and had Bill as our server, the most kind and friendly person - also extremely knowledgeable about wines. He took great care of us! Overall the staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices are great and the food delicious. It was overall an amazing experience and we will certainly be back. Even our friend's children had a fantastic time, running around the property, playing games.. it's a child friendly experience for sure! Keep up the good work! I was very impressed. read more

Let me start by saying this is totally not what Martha Clara was. The gift shop is gone and the wildflowers are gone too (well, a small patch remains). However- aside from the culture shock of pulling in and seeing the new look inside..... the wines are actually really good. The wines are nice quality for the area. All stainless steel and crisp. Nice on a hot day. They still have food and kids seemed welcomed. They have really neat rocking stemless glasses. The flight pricing was $17, okay for the region. Their reds are still Martha Clara so i am curious to see what they make with their red harvest in the future. It is a young woman that took over and is Mexican inspired mindset. The wine maker studied in Bordeaux, so good balance happening here. We will visit again. read more

My husband and I have been to North Fork numerous times - we have our old favorites, but make it a point to try a few new wineries on each visit. On this particular trip, we decided to visit RGNY, and our expectations were blown out of the water. We were offered a cool private tasting area in the loft with views of the lovely vineyard. Julianna hung out with us, explaining the wines & pairings, and listened to our various random tales of wine tastings. We had some amazing wines that were unique from anything we had tasted recently -- a White Merlot & Cab Franc among them. Just a really relaxing & uniquely fun experience.
