DO NOT PURCHASE EYEWEAR FROM THEM. Over 5 years I bought 2 pairs of glasses at approximately $2,000 total. Both pairs had design flaws and constantly fell apart. Bela advised me of this design problem for-the first pair. They were broken for 16 of the 24 month warranty. After the 6th time for repair Bela advised that the warranty expired 3 days ago. I had no idea of the 2 year warranty which he should have told me about earlier. I purchased 2 pairs from Costco at $300 per pair with no problems.,
In spite of this I remained a loyal patient for about 30 years. Over this time I had examinations at regular intervals of 18 months which is the earliest for OHIP coverage renewal. Berman made the prescription for 1 year knowing this. I called his office requesting that he extend the prescription. I advised that my current eyewear was good with no changes in vision. I needed prescription sunglasses for driving. Berman refused and demanded an examination when not covered by OHIP.
