Overpriced and a colossal waste of time !!!…read more My husband and I got sucked in for the CAD $49.99 single pose deal when we went to get our passport pictures taken especially since it was about $45 to get passport pics for the 3 of us (incl. the kid) and about $65-70 for the passport pics including the single pose deal. It took a series of emails to set up the appointment as I had some questions on how much digital copies will cost ($99 for a single digital file - seriously, no kidding). I decided no matter how nice the pics turn up I will not get sucked into shelling out more money. I had to write and ask if I was confirmed on the day/time i asked for when I did not hear back. The photographer who finally turned up was a very sweet and patient woman (the only plus about this whole experience) as my 3 yr old was just up from a nap and was not in her best moods for a while. During the photo viewing session at walmart we were met with this girl at the counter who had mechanical explanations for any questions we had. Finally I asked her to give my husband and I a few minutes to look at the pictures as she was all over and my husband could not even come close enough to look at the pics that had very limited zoom. Plus, she has other customers waiting. She did not budge initially which was weird and made me think if I was speaking to her in martian. Out of the 30 photos probably 15 were unique (the other processed copies) and we could handpick probably 5 good ones but still not good enough to be sold on the extra $125 for up to 49 digital copies. Ultimately we picked out 1 and decided to go with the original $49.99 package as we had decided to not shell out another dime. Then we were told about the $15-16 extra shipping fee for the pictures. U got to be kiddin'?!?!?! I said that I would pick up at the store which was not an option in which case the fine print on the packaging which says "additional shipping may apply" should say "additional shipping WILL apply". That was it - we decided to count our losses and just walked away. To top this all they got the passport pics all wrong the first time around and we got sent back by our consulate to retake the pics - which was a complete saturday wasted. Walmart is generally good value for money but their tie up with photosunlimited has seriously upset us.
