Revlocal is horrible. Over promise and under deliver. I worked with Agnes and they always wanted more money for ads but never got me leads spend over 4k in ads for about 6 months and they can only get me 11-20 leads a month. After I told them I didn't want to continue with them anymore they deleted all my online presence including my google listing which I've have years prior to them they couldn't get it back took them 2 months back and forth with google.. I finally hired another company and got my listing back within a week. Just go look at there BBB and obviously have no reviews present when you google them. Don't do it. I was a customer with "okay" results. I eventually decided to try another marketing firm, but have been unable to get anyone at RevLocal to release access to my Facebook so that we can add the new marketing firm. **Preface: as a small business owner I NEVER do bad reviews. But this feels important to me to share to other small business owners and prevent from a complete loss of money. Rev Local is one of the worst companies I have sadly lost A LOT of money to as a small business. I deeply wish I would have done more research before signing with the company. Now can see that my exact experienced is sadly echoed by many, many other companies. They have yet to bring me a single remotely-viable lead. In fact they actually harmed us by setting up a by changing our website to an AWFUL landing page that did not reflect our brand or have accurate consumer information that is supportive to what a consumer is looking for when landing on a business. They also refused to let me drop the landing page until asking several times for this to be done or changed to better reflect our brand. So rather than improving anything for your actual business/website/google. They link everything to their faux amateur site and gather data from that instead of your business and brand. Month after month I shared concerns about there being no leads and any changes made were because of actions happening outside of this company. I was never delivered anything helpful or supportive and was re-directed into run around conversations anytime I brought up concerns. I would strongly advise against using RevLocal if you are a small business owner, especially if you're just starting out. Over the course of nearly a year with their Local Search Advanced service, I have seen no return on investment--just an overwhelming number of scam calls and unsolicited pitches from similar companies. The landing page they require you to use is poorly designed and doesn't align with my existing website. Despite months of back-and-forth trying to resolve the issue, I received consistent feedback from leads that it was confusing to have two different sites, ultimately driving potential clients away. After endless frustration, I asked them to take the landing page down. RevLocal now claims that the lack of results is due to my refusal to use their landing page. However, after consulting with another SEO expert, I learned that landing pages like the one they provide are meant for short-term promotions--not for long-term SEO strategy. Removing the page means all the supposed "work" they did for Google goes away, as nothing is tied to my actual website. I've requested multiple times to speak with a manager to express my concerns and cancel my account, but I'm constantly stonewalled. Each call brings a new representative assigned to my account, creating zero continuity. Since I've decided not to renew, it's clear they've stopped delivering the SEO work they promised. My business still doesn't appear on local searches for designers in Denver, and neither my friends nor family can find it either. I'm incredibly disappointed, as this company has taken advantage of a woman-owned, minority-owned small business. My hard-earned money was wasted on a service that not only failed to deliver but also felt predatory in nature. I urge anyone considering RevLocal to stay far away from this unethical company. Lastly.. do not trust the referral their sales agent gives you. I made the mistake of only going off their referrals. only to find out 3 weeks after I signed I had somebody calling me for a referral on them. I was a client for 2-3yrs. Out of the blue, they completely destroyed all but the homepage of my website, with the excuse that it was for better SEO with Google. Except that 85% of the information about my business was completely erased. When I complained, they offered to reinstate my previous website/pages at no cost, but as they weren't backed-up on any of their "legacy" servers, we'd have to recreate from scratch. *Just to preface, I am not one to write bad reviews. I have a mid size landscaping company with a pretty high demand and lead flow. I was recommended RevLocal and I wish I would have done research before signing with the salesperson. They have yet to bring me one single remotely-viable lead. They created a very amateur looking website and replaced it for mine on Yelp, Google my business, etc. also without telling me! They said it's part of their strategy to make a microsite that looks "exactly like mine" and just boosts my SEO. But basically they run everything through this new crappy site that they own, rather than improving the presence of my website. I could go on and on, but basically I just want to get out of my contract. I was not delivered what was promised, and my reputation was harmed. They accepted to reduce the scope of my contract but will not let me out of it. If I can get out of this contract (rather than pay for 3 more months of no leads) I could at least say they dropped the ball but handled it respectfully. As is, all I can say is this is a very shady and incompetent company that promised so much in the sales call, and as is evident from the other reviews, harms small businesses. read more

They advertised the wrong company for two months. It took about three months to get the ad messages correct. Billing is confusing, we still are not sure if we were credited properly. On top of that they directed everything to a "microsite" which they owned. This was never discussed up front. Very deceptive. Their dashboard looks pretty, but shows a bunch of meaningless information. We repeatedly asked for more data on the ads we were running. It was not till near the end we discovered we were advertising in areas not pertinent to our business. Shame on us for not checking them out on the Better Business Bureau first. read more

This company is a scam. They will contract you for services. Stop communication and continue to take your money. Dont bother trying to let them resolve the problem either...they will just let you know you can happily end your contract with a payment in full for the remainder of the contract. I am a real customer who is very displeased with my services yet they only make excuses and no real action to resolve the situation. We do not recommend this company. Unorganized, incompetent and do not deliver on results. They want you to think they understand your business, but they really don't. They created a second Google Business account which caused our current one to become " unverified." It took us weeks to correct that problem. We did not get any increase in bookings at our RV park during our time with them. Billing is confusing, we still are not sure if we were credited properly. On top of that they directed everything to a "microsite" which they owned. The ownership of that site was never discussed up front. Very deceptive. The microsite was very poorly created and did not represent us in our words. It was full of inaccurate information and errors. They increased our ad spend without any written documentation. They said it was a verbal agreement. Their form of SEO was to send us a PDF once a month so we could add to our website the key words. I could have googled that information. Their dashboard looks pretty, but shows a bunch of meaningless information. We repeatedly asked for more data on the ads they were running. They kept stringing us along saying "it takes time." When that time came, they stated the reason we didn't see results was because our ad budget was too small and it wasn't going to result in much anyway. If that was the case they should have said that in the beginning. We are a very small business and this was our first year so the negative financial impact on us working with them was substantial. I paid for their service for 2 months after paying a "setup fee" on top of that, and all they did was put my business on Yext, which anyone can do themselves. They did 2 hours of work and want to charge you $150 a month to "maintain" your listings on Yext, and then you receive a monthly update email on how your business is doing, and this email consisted of my Google Analytics results and my Facebook performance, which I can obviously get by logging into those accounts.They said this was my fault for choosing their most basic plan and not spending more money with them.. I would consider this a rip-off and a scam, but clearly their employees are giving great reviews below. read more
