I had bikini laser hair removal done in this place. The prices are much higher than in other places, but I wanted it done well so I didn't care. Can't say it was bad, but there was no result. I've done laser before and it works great on me, I lose hair and everything. After Revive my hair didn't even fall out. About 1,5month later I went to another place and the hair fell out, I saw the result and everything was great. Not sure if it's the laser, the master, the laser settings or whatever else, but it is how it is. On the bright side, the lady who did the laser was nice and the place was nice and clean. read more

I've lived a lot of places and been to many med-spas. This place is incredibly lovely! Shonda is very skillful - so gentle and NEVER a heavy brow from too much Botox. Why do so many seem to make that mistake...? Shonda never does!!! Perfection every time! And when you see her bedside manner - she's so sweet, kind, gentle! Buyer beware. I came to Shonda via a friend's recommendation and on the phone and in person, she could not have been nicer and friendlier. Based on her detailed description of the results I could I generally expect, I made an appointment and forked over 1200+ dollars. Even before I left, they were trying to get me to make my next appointment, but I said I wanted to hold off and see the actual results. As my Dermatologist said weeks later, after the peeling was done, "Did she actually do anything?" In other words, after weeks of my skin looking like a topographical map, I looked exactly the same. On one hand, results vary from person to person, but this was nothing like Shonda assured me what the results would be. I called to check in with her and she didn't return the call. I called again 4 days later and it took her another 4 or 5 days to return the call. Her attitude was entirely different - kind of dismissive and uncaring. She then backtracked on everything she had said earlier before I went in, and just kept saying it would take months to really see the difference. And then I never heard from her again. Needless to say, if I wanted to waste my money, it would be quicker and far less painful to simply flush it down the toilet. read more

I saw these reviews prior to going in and did not allow that to stop me from going to see her because I get to know a person for myself. Especially when some people even blame God for their own mistakes. I met with Shonda and she is a people person, professional ,well versed, caring,warm and is very knowledgeable . She is definitely operating within her gifts and it shows. she educates you up-front and refused to have you looking like a good year blimp. She believes that no one should know that you have any types of treatment by inflating you like a tire. I was so pleased with the treatment she administered. And in just a few days I got the exact result that I wanted. I had the same treatment done elsewhere several months ago and was stiff like starch for a whole months and it was quite obvious. Shonda educated me and what she had said made perfect sense. The result is the definition of excellency. And I will be her client moving forward. Shonda is great for the most part besides I did have to return For a second time to get the results I was looking for. The part that completely shocked me was the girl up front she was clueless of any questions I had. She didn't attempt to find out the answers. When I came back 2 weeks later for corrections and for just a bit more botox they raised their price $1.00 more a unit and never bothered to inform me until we were all done and I was given the bill & I had to ask! Again the girl up front "clueless" when I asked why I was not informed of this prior or why was the price I payed 2 weeks prior not honored? She sat there and didn't say anything.... Worst MedSpa experience I have ever had and I have been to many. ** The two stars are for the front desk who was so kind and professional. After a paid consultation for under-eye area, I booked/scheduled a micro needling treatment. What I was sold on during consultation was not what I received. I was given a thin layer of numbing gel and then placed in a room to "numb" for...90 minutes. Yes you read that right, an hour and a half waiting. The numbing agent did not even work well and I still felt the entire (painful) treatment. Not only did the practitioner not apologize for the 90 min wait, the practitioner was aware that I no longer felt "numb" yet was condescending with all communication and seemed just uninterested. After paying is when I was told that with this treatment, I would need more sessions to see results. Mind you I was charged $600 for + consultation cost and spent two hours of my day there for a small area treated. Terrible service and overpriced/scammy. Looks like I will be driving back down to San Diego for any further medSpa needs. read more

It's taken me almost a year to review Revive. Shame on me. But I have good reason. I'm so rarely a "girl." Like the kind of "girl" that totally melts down and cries at a salon. But, on my wedding day I was totally that girl. Yep - I had a horrible, horrible, threading job somewhere else the week before, and that combined with picking, way too much benzoyl peroxide, tanning, too much alcohol, not enough water, dry desert air, and lots of stress did a number on my skin. And there I sat in the makeup chair having a complete and total meltdown. I feel like such a jerk now, I can't remember the makeup artist's name, but - holy shit! She was amazing! Like, magically amazing. She made the deep creases around my eyes all but disappear, and assured me that all the crying was making my eyes look even better. She rocked my socks. On the real. The hair was even better. I admit, I was a bit afraid to get my hair done in Palm Springs. While a lot of PS is pretty hip these days, a lot of it is stuck in the 80s. But I showed her a pic, and specified "no curling irons," and she rocked it too. Highly recommended for Palm Springs weddings...and for that occasional estrogen-filled meltdown. read more

This place is nice enough, people are friendly but I am not happy at all with the Botox I had done. I was there January 3rd, I got 28 units of Botox, here it is the 7th of February and my forehead looks like I never had anything done. My 11's were good for a few weeks but my forehead? it's like it never took. I wasn't going to post, but after looking at my forehead in the mirror this morning I'm just disgusted. I had booked a couple's massage and facial. Everything went great until after we left when I looked in my purse, a $20 bill was missing from the pack of other bills. When I travel for a quick weekend getaway, I usually don't bring my whole wallet, just what I need ID, a credit card and some cash. The purse I happen to have that weekend did not have any zipper, and I had put my id and a twently dollar bill in the purse pocket. When I went in, I know it was there b/c I wanted to make sure I had enough $ in case I wanted to take a taxi back to the hotel we were staying. Anyway they have you put your belongings in a basket, mine was carried by a total of 3 different beauticians and a masseuse from different rooms for different type of treatments. I am going here for laser hair removal treatments. When I showed up for my first treatment Shonda (the Aesthetic nurse) was running behind. But I forgave her because everyone constantly offered me water, coffee, and even a lemonade slushy from their machine. When Shonda finally got to me, she was really sweet and took the time to answer all of my questions. She talked me through the whole treatment. I was not asked to put my belongings in another basket like other reviewers reported, but maybe it's because I am going for a different treatment. As a side note: If you are going here or anywhere for laser hair removal, it hurts! But I have never waxed or anything so it was a shock to me. And the area will be sensitive for a few hours. If it itches, scratching it will make it burn! read more

I decided to get a last minute couples massage here. I was able to book for the next day with no hassle. I've never been to a spa/salon before so I can't compare it to anything else. What I can say is that the place was very clean and we were greeted by warm and friendly staff and offered a beverage while we waited. Our wait wasn't long, plus we arrived 30 minutes early. We were taken to their massage area upstairs. The room was quaint, clean, and smelled great. Heather was my therapist. She worked wonders on my back and found that I had some damage in my shoulder that must have been associated with my car accident a year ago. The experience was calm and peaceful and the price reasonable. Next time I visit I will be back. read more

It was just a couple minutes after my appointment time when I met Shonda and she took me back into a room for the consult. After the consult, I received my Botox and was on my merry way. Great place for a mani/pedi! Very clean! The atmosphere is quiet and private like a spa. I was looking for a place that would do a thorough job because I finally convinced my husband to get a pedicure. He obliged because it was my birthday but I knew he would feel more comfortable if it was quiet and private. I was happy when I walkws in and saw that it was. They took very good care of him and he LOVED it! I almost fell asleep during the foot massage. They really spent a long time on each step so it was definitely worth paying a little more than you would at the cheap places. It still was cheaper though than a lot of the other spas in PS that I looked at. Now I just wish they were in Santa Monica so I could go to them all the time. read more

I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday. He had been mentioning that he wanted a massage for awhile so I went to Yelp for recommendations as I was taking him to Palm Springs for a getaway. I was excited to partake in a couples massage but we both left slightly disappointed. We arrived and everything seemed quite nice at first. Very nice and clean facilities. The massage commenced and I do kick myself for not mentioning it first, but it was very cold in the massage area. Halfway through, the massage therapist working on my boyfriend finally asked how the temp was, noticing that my boyfriend was tensing up and shivering anticipating her touch. I was trying to enjoy my massage and at this point I was face down and didn't want to interrupt the vibe. Towards the latter portion of the massage, one of the massage therapists phones went off. To me, the ringing of the phone was very disruptive and extremely unprofessional. Both massage therapists stopped in their tracks and scrambled to get the phone to stop ringing since it interrupted the music they had playing. I noticed that the massage therapist working on my boyfriend asked him how the pressure was, but mine never asked me. Slightly annoyed... But I tried to get over it. Not only that, but I did notice that there was some giggling taking place.. Which I later found out had to do with my boyfriend twitching at the massage therapist's touch. Again, the giggling seemed unprofessional to me. I was half naked and as I was trying to relax, it did irritate me and made it difficult to enjoy myself. All in all, I think my boyfriend and I both expected more. I mentioned when I made the reservation that the couples massage was a gift for my boyfriends birthday. No one was aware and upon making the appointment, they asked for my credit card information. I figured that they would've had my information on file to take the payment. It was a gift and I didn't want my boyfriend to know how much I had spent on the massage. It was embarrassing that the lady checking us out verbalized the total rather than simply asking me if she wanted to charge the card on file. Perhaps it was my fault that I didn't make it clear when I made the appointment (I'm not sure how I could've made it more clear), but it wasn't how I anticipated the payout going. Either way, she implied that they didn't have my full credit card information and just took it when making the appointment - still needing the card to payout. Perhaps I should've spent more money to go to a full out spa... But oh well. read more

I was in town and felt like a massage so I went and looked for a place near me.i called and made an appointment for two.when I got there the place was under construction so I had a hard time finding someone who worked there when I finally came across one of the girls that worked there she had no clue at what was going on.she took us back down stairs to look in2 the computer for our appointment only to ask us if anyone had called us back to tell us they were unable to find a second massage therapist.i never received a phone call from them so I just turned around and left.they definitely have very POOR customer service and girls seems careless. read more

Revive is a very nice spa. I have been to many but, Revive is one of the nicest. I visited Revive last Friday 10/9/2015. The staff was warm and friendly and welcomed my partner and I by offering us something cold to drink. The Frozen Lemonade was refreshing and tasty. The spa was very clean. We both had appointments for 80 Minute Hot Stone Massages. My massage Therapist was named Karen Young. I cannot say enough about her technique. When she spoke, her tone was calming. Her hands were strong and firm and she kneaded my tired, battered body back to wellness. Karen was extremely knowledgeable and knew just where to lay the stones and massage to heal all of my issues. I cannot wait to visit REVIVE again. Both my partner and I have agreed it is well worth the extra 30 minute drive to Palm Springs, rather than visiting a closer spa we have frequented over the last 4 years. I made a last minute appointment for a blowout and my bangs to be trimmed. Tabetha Holton was my Stylist. She started by using aromatherapy oil and massaging my neck and shoulders. He had me hooked. She shampooed me in the same peaceful manner.. I was going to a modernist event for Modernist week, so at the last minute asked her is she could do an up do for me even though my hair wasn't really the optimum length. She said.. "I will try" She made it work. It came out beautifully. And I had soooo many compliments. It was amazing. Everyone kept asking me who did it. I don't live in PS but when I come back I will use Tabetha for my blow out and styling needs. And refer everyone to her for retro functions. She was fabulous... And so sweet. Thank you Tabitha..
