Horrific experience! About a year ago, I purchased a Groupon to get my brows microbladed. Unable to shape them how I wanted & after doing a lot of research, I decided to get them done. I've never had an issue with anything I've purchased in all the years I've used Groupon, so I assumed respected companies just wanted to broaden their clientele. Like other comments on Groupon, people complained when they arrived after scheduling an appt. She would tell people it's an extra $100 to get your brows done ombre. The ad was only for people who had thick brows, but didn't have a shape to define them. The $100 included the "shading". I was desperate & already drove 40+ minutes, so I said ok. Not to mention she was 30+ mins. late. While chatting with me, she's talking about other clients she had. Not sure she should be telling me about other clients, but I took it as she knew exactly what she was doing. When she was done, I thought my brows looked GREAT. They're just as I had envisioned them, & I was happy I gave her a $50 tip on TOP of the $100 extra that I had to pay (which I now realize is just recouping the fee Groupon takes from her) & the $137 I ALREADY paid to her via Groupon. A few weeks later I went for my touchup. Here's where problems started. This time my touchup was extremely painful. I had to bite my lip & nearly cried. Brittany said I was still sensitive from my last appt., & assured me that the numbing meds would kick in. It never did, & this session lasted over 1 hour. I'm told by an actual professional that a touch up should not be painful, nor should it last that long. Of course I know this now, & not then. After my touchup, she says the microblading should last 6 months to a year. 4 months after my appointment, I noticed a little fading & wanted to stay proactive, so I contacted her for a followup. She offers a time that I'm not able to make, so I mentioned that she said she offers 1 Sat. a month & can I take an appt for whatever Sat. that is- no rush. She says yes, & will be in touch with the Sat. she chooses for the next month, b/c each month is different. This was in Feb. In March I followup again, & she texted me that her son plays sports & doesn't have the time to do it in March, but will let me know. In April, I follow up, now annoyed b/c I've been asking for a Sat. appt. since Feb. She calls me & tells me she has a few women who come from Chandler every month, & since they're loyal, she works around their schedule b/c she can get them all done in 1 day. She promised me she'd get me in May. I contact her in May & she offers me a SIX AM appointment that upcoming Saturday (knowing I'd have to get up at 4am to get ready & then drive almost an hour there). I decline. She then says ok, 6 PM two weeks later (I thought she worked 1 Sat. a month?). I agree. A week before my appointment, I confirm pricing with her & my appt via text. This time she calls me & tells me she raised her pricing to $79 for a touchup. From $25?! I say no, & canceled; which is what she wanted anyway. In June (2 months ago) I go elsewhere to now get my brows permanently done as I am now more educated on brow tattooing. My artist can't work on my brows b/c I'm told that Brit used cheap tattoo ink on me & has a green underbase. She then points out the three strokes beyond my brow that Brit put & said we need to get rid of that before she can help me, otherwise it will look terrible b/c she uses PROPER ink. Her ink looks TOTALLY different from what Brit used. My artist is trying to get the strokes out & has gone so far as to CUT ME so she can literally put the solution directly into my epidermis to get it out. It's only lightened a teeny bit in the 2+ months we have been together. I met with my artist today, & she said that Brit must have gone all the way down into my dermis for that to still be there. This explains why my initial follow-up was SO painful! My artist freaked when I mentioned the additional strokes as Brit has said she could cover it up with flesh ink. Flesh colored ink doesn't go directly onto your face. Flesh ink is to blend scars on the side of your face that you've gotten from a face lift. B/c older people usually get some type of facelift, their skin has already gotten a little green/yellow hue & they wear makeup anyway, so they don't care. Plus it's on the side of your face, & not on your brow that anyone can see! My artist put a dot of the flesh colored ink on my skin to show me what it would look like & I would've died had I let Brit do that to me. Btw, the additional strokes were made during my follow-up visit not my initial visit- which is how she never got to use the flesh ink on me b/c I never saw her again. Brit uses Groupon for free advertising b/c the Groupon fees are recouped when seen in person. The website no longer exists, their Facebook page via Groupon takes you to another business name, & their Instagram page is shut down. EVERYONE'S brows look great in the beginning.
