I told them my house was 100+ years old with old gutters in need of immediate repairs and replacement in the spring. The rep said no problem and asked zero questions about what type of gutters I had. He just pushed to schedule an estimate with no information. At the time, it did feel a bit slick, but I went ahead anyway as they were working on two houses in my historic neighborhood. The phone rep scheduled my estimate for a specific time, in the afternoon, 2 weeks out. On the scheduled day, a young kid showed up in the morning instead because he was in the area and it was convenient for him. He emailed me the estimate and it was for the wrong service. He did return to correct the estimate, but I found him resistant to do anything but sell me expensive new gutters. It was obvious he was trained to immediately tell me how useless it was to do repairs. It felt slick and self-serving, not honest. I was quickly turned off. Again, I had told their rep when I called weeks ago, that the house is painted next spring. Why waste my time and schedule an estimate only to show up and decline repairs because the house has gutter pins? They are working in my neighborhood and they are aware it's a neighborhood of 100+ year old houses. Seems a 'gutter expert' would be well aware of pinned gutters being a potential issue and ASK about it when the estimate is requested. My impression is this company wants to build a professional gutter service using fancy signs, a slick estimating process (that unfortunately they themselves don't follow), cheap labor, and cheap materials put up with a fast install installation. If you're looking for a fast and basic gutter job that doesn't pay attention to your house, they may work for you. Prior to the date I asked again for a formal quote with no reply. During install, he asked what he provided as a verbal quote and I replied. At the end of install, the final number was higher than the verbal quote. He had several excuses which I reminded him we discussed when he first came. He then said, well it took longer than I planned. I paid with no argument. My approach is to never do business with a company again if they take advantage of me. Point is, until Skip's returns to employing their own installers, I will never buy flooring from them again.

They replaced…read moreboards, power washed, sanded and stained our deck; re-treaded some stairs leading up the upper level of the yard and power washed and stained two retaining walls. They worked with us to get our shed cleaned-up on the outside as well. Ted showed up with ice cream for his crew daily and you could tell that there was an incredible admiration and respectful working relationship among the team. It was nice to have them at our house.
