The massage therapist I had was chatty and not only that she was talking about a death in her family. I am not unfeeling but I was there to relax. It was like a torture session, the pressure was way too intense and I did say that. The form I filled out was pointless as none of the information I put down was attended to during the session. I deeply regretted booking a 90 minute session. Edit: I'm changing my review from one star to three because one of the owners got in touch with me within hours of this review and gave $135 credit for a 90 minute massage. I went in today for a deep tissue massage and I am so disappointed. I explained to the therapist before she started that I booked a deep tissue massage because I have scar tissue from an old back surgery and that I needed most of her attention in that area. Well, she did not. The pressure was so light that I hardly felt anything. When I booked the appointment I told the person that I would like to book a deep tissue massage and they scheduled me with the person who had no idea what deep pressure is. Received a great massage ! The room was the right temperature with a heated table. The staff were friend;y and explained the processes.

I just moved to the area and Revitalize was super close by, with great reviews. Booking online was easy enough, but certain massage therapists had no availability for months. After making an account to book, I ended up holding off for a few weeks since my schedule is tough to plan out months in advance. Thankfully I checked back and there were more appointments and therapists available. I went with Marykate, booking about a week in advance, and am SO glad I did. I asked for pretty firm pressure, and it felt as if her movements and manipulations were intuitive, signaling that her anatomical knowledge is vast, and her techniques well practiced. I have gotten professional massages off and on for years, and not to sound dramatic, but today's with Marykate might be the best I have ever experienced. I will absolutely be back to see her, and my partner is currently checking out available appointment dates for himself. read more

Wow! So, my wife gave me a gift certificate for a one hour massage at Revitalize, back in APRIL 2021, and today (Oct. '21) I FINALLY made the time to have a massage. My only regret, is that I didn't do this sooner. I chose to have my first Revitalize massage with Lindsay. I chose her because of what she says in her Bio "holistic approach to health and her ultimate goal is to bring you back to a space of deep relaxation, peace, and awareness of your body, mind, and emotions." She delivered! The brief initial discussion for her to get to know me and understand my goals, was much appreciated. The massage was excellent. Really excellent. Lindsay seems to have an innate ability to find all the stress and tension and knots, and address them. I will be back. I also highly recommend that you visit Revitalize as well. Everytime i come here, the staff is always pleasant and always listen to my requests and focus on pressure points that need attention. I have had a bad visit in the past here and I was able to speak with another member of the staff and within 24 hours the manage or owner had called me and apologized and took action against the employee (she recommended weight loss hypnosis for me during my session. She no longer works there) the reason for four stars is because it can be very hard to get an appointment as they book up very fast. I will be retuning again once I am able to. read more

I went to Revitalize Massage Therapy for the first time last week and I couldn't have been more impressed! Shannon is absolutely amazing!!! I have been suffering with back pain for about 10 years now. It started when I pulled a muscle in my lower back when I was 18. I've gone to a few different Physical Therapists and Massage Therapists, trying to fix the problem, only for it to come right back every time I vacuumed, washed dishes, lifted things, slept the wrong way, driving in the car--even just sitting at my desk doing work on my computer! I always had a sharp, stabbing, pains as if I had a butcher knife in my back! Fast-forward 10 years, last year, I became pregnant and the pregnancy was extremely hard on my body. I ended up developing polyhydramnios (having too much amniotic fluid) so I was measuring as if I had twins (I was HUGE), my daughter was 8 pounds, very long, and 3 weeks late! I went through a rough labor, then emergency c-section, and now 6 months later, my body is finally trying to get back together again but my back is just a complete mess from everything in the past 10 years. Shannon is by far, the BEST massage therapist I've ever had. She is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable in her work. Shannon also explained what she was doing, why she was doing it, and how it effects my muscles. She helped me understand why I have been in agonizing pain, to the point I could not move without wanting to cry all the time, for over a year. She was able to massage out some serious knots I had throughout my major problem areas, my legs & back, as well as other areas that I didn't realize were so bad. For instance, I've been getting headaches, which are actually caused from the tightness & knots in my neck/shoulders. It's been a few days since I've seen Shannon and I'm already feeling a lot better. I'm looking forward to seeing her at least once a month to help my ongoing problems with my back. She is eager and able to continue fixing me. I'm so happy for all these previous yelp reviews because I finally found an amazing therapist who can and will cure me! Thank you. I have had back problems for a decade and have been in and out of PT and medicine treatment. Massages are one way for me to treat my condition and I have had good masseuses and bad ones, but never a great one. I now have a great one in Shannon. When my back started flaring up recently to the point it was affecting my daily life, I set about finding a place in Worcester as I had recently moved there and my only other Worcester massage experience at St. Cyr was unimpressive. I found this place through Yelp reviews and winning Best of Worcester. I happened to draw Shannon for my first appointment and consider myself extremely lucky for that. Shannon clearly knows her stuff. She understands trigger and pressure points, she understands how joints and muscles all work together in tandem in the body. As I mentioned, I have had a lot of experience with massages, both in PT and outside of PT, and some of the stuff she does I have never seen any other massager do -- and it works. But it's not just her clear intelligence on the subject and ability to make my back feel instantly better and my body looser after just an hour on the table. It's her obvious investment in the patient as well. She is easy to develop a rapport with and get along and she is genuinely concerned about my back troubles and the best way to get them under control. I now go to Shannon monthly and the back issues flaring up that caused me to seek treatment have subsided. I no longer get daily back spasms that leave me dry-heaving and on the floor shaking. For anyone looking for a real massage with instant results and an invested masseuse, you can't do any better than Shannon. Be aware that it is sort of difficult to find the place -- there is a big sign out on the road outside the building but it is less clear standing outside the actual building where it is. You have to go into the door of the barbershop as they share the location. read more

I wish that I could give Revitalize Massage Therapy more than five stars. I have issues with my back because of hyper flexibility, i am always tied up in knots, in pain and stiff in my back and shoulders...sometimes even down my spine. This was the case until I went to see Jared. My massages with Jared are by far the best, most productive, relaxing and helpful ones that I have ever had. When my back issues started, I went to other places in Worcester for massage like Tu Moda and St. Cyr--I always left still feeling stiff and knotted up. Whenever I leave Revitalize, I feel so much better. Jared is an absolute genius at working out any issue with your back. When I went to him for the first time, I had knots all up and down my spine, in both shoulders and had a hard time moving around a lot without pain--in just an hour and a half, Jared managed to get out 95% of my knots. I was AMAZED. Not only is Jared a wizard, but he is very nice, considerate and friendly--he always wants you to be comfortable with whatever he is doing, the amount of pressure he is using and even the temperature of the room. He is by far the best massage therapist I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot! Don't wait---go see Jared today for a massage. If you're tense, knotted up, stiff, in pain etc, you'll leave feeling much better. If you're stressed, under pressure and really need to relax, then you'll leave feeling refreshed and well, revitalized. I will now only go to Jared for my massages, he is THE BEST!!!! For quality of massage, they earn 5 stars. For location and ambiance, 4 stars. It is confusing to find which door to go into in the house that they have a room in (you go in the barbershop entrance). The lobby for their place is shared by a barber's shop so there is no privacy or tranquil atmosphere. While getting the massage, you can hear people talking in the barber shop through the wall. The massages, however, are worth the less than ideal atmosphere. Another odd thing we had to do was pay for the massage (including the tip since we were charging both) before we got our massage. This was because we were their last appointment on a Saturday and Jared is the only one who can take the money. I don't like to tip before I know what kind of service I am going to get-- in the end, I had no regret that I gave a good tip since the massages were excellent- but there should be a way to not have to do so beforehand. I got a massage with Shannon and my fiance had Ari. Shannon is fantastic- very strong and able to find every hidden knot. She could even tell that I had worked out with kettle bells based on the knots she found in my shoulders. Both women are very cool and friendly. My fiance was equally satisfied with his massage. If we weren't from the New Haven area in CT, I would totally come back here with some regularity for more massages with Shannon. Even with the distance I think I will come back a couple times a year so she can work on me. read more

Absolutely amazing. I went to Revitalize for help with my aching neck and all-around malaise. I had developed a hump on my upper back/neck as the result of begin hunched over due to very large breasts/unsupportive bras. (Yes, fellas, they CAN be a burden sometimes). Anyway, this was my first massage with a male therapist and I was unsure, but Jared was so amazing. We had great conversation since I was in a chatty mood that day, but I get the feeling Jared totally molds himself to his client's mood. I'll probably be in a sleepy mood for my next massage (this Saturday), and I'm sure he'll go along with however I'm feeling. Okay, on to the massage. During: I have very, VERY sensitive muscles/tendons/joints/everything, so some areas were more painful and ended up bruising afterwards, but Jared was extremely receptive to my "ouches" and "ahhs". He adjusted his pressure depending on how I felt, which was perfect. In some places, I knew I needed the deeper massage, so I breathed through it and reaped the rewards after! After: You're offered water when you get there AND as you leave, which is wonderful. But the most amazing thing about this massage was....Jared somehow got rid of the hump on my back. I'm not sure HOW he did it, but I am over the moon happy THAT he did it. I went home and turned around and my fiancé was astounded! Overall, I felt so, well, revitalized! Prior to this, I had only received three massages in my life. They were nice and all, but I didn't see a real value compared with the cost. Not the case at Revitalize. Tell them your problem areas and they will FIX them. I will now schedule regular appointments, and make massage part of my healthcare routine - especially in the next few months as wedding-planning has me going crazy :) Oh, and they send you a $5 coupon for your birthday! I had about an hour before I had to pick up my son and was looking to squeeze in a 30 minute massage. I called and spoke with Barbara, who was lovely to speak with, and she set me up to have a quick 30 minute massage with Jared. When I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome from Barbara. I filled out the new client sheet within a few minutes and was ready for my massage. The place was clean and peaceful, very well maintained. Jared was very professional and acknowledged my problem areas and concerns. He was easy to talk to and I felt very relaxed at the end of my 30 minutes. I would recommend their services to anyone. Top 3 massages of my life - and I have had a lot of massages. I contacted Revitalize on a whim the Monday after a holiday weekend after having very bad muscle spasms and soreness for a few weeks. My chiropractor couldn't help and instructed me to get a massage ASAP. I emailed Revitalize and had an appointment booked within one hour. Between their stellar response, and the awesome reviews online, I was already very optimistic. I was running late and they were so understanding and did not rush me at all. Amanda was my massage therapist and she was incredible. Even though I was late, she took time to get familiar with my issues, and learn a bit about my medical history as it relates to my spine, etc. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed--only checking on me as needed to make sure the pressure was good and that I wasn't in pain. I've had many, many massages in my life and this was by far one of the best ever. I left feeling one million times better than when I walked in. because of the deep pressure, I took an ibuprofen before bed so I wouldn't feel sore in the morning like I often do. Not this time. I woke up feeling great. This is a comfortable, relaxed business that doesn't need the frills to compensate for anything--the experience is wonderful as is. Normally, I never do reviews but this was necessary. First, I had to go to the hospital because I had gotten a muscle spasm on my back the day after I got the massage (while literally just walking) and the muscle spasm was so bad that I couldn't breathe and thought it was my lungs, until the doctor told me it was my back muscles and the spasm happened because of the massage. Next, they called me today (12/10/20) telling me that the lady that did my massage (this was my first time so I didn't get a name) had symptoms and had possibly contracted and gave me COVID-19. They didn't want to give me a name or confirm/deny it was the lady that gave me a massage due to Hippa , and then LAUGHED while saying sorry about the potential covid I may have contracted as if covid was no big deal when I live with elders. This was my first time ever getting a massage and I will never EVER be coming here again. read more

I've treated myself to massages here and there over the years but after coming here I realized that this was probably my very first REAL massage. Jared is the guy you want! His technique is notable and nothing near just some oil with a rub down. I didn't know my muscles could be moved around in such ways, it felt amazing. I've been a client of Jared's here for years. He's awesome - gets right to the tension every time. I come here regularly, and I can't say enough good things. He always resolves my tension, crazy sore or not, and somehow managed to do so without leaving me feeling like I'm being pummeled. He's super easy to talk to if that's your jam, but after a time I find it most relaxing to quiet down - which he's super chill about. He's very responsive during the massage and conforms to whatever my needs are. Jared was also great with prenatal massage when I was pregnant - a massive relief from the soreness of pregnancy. My husband also sees Karina regularly, and he's always singing her praises. His only regret is waiting so long to try massage therapy.
