After being moved from ICU at Bristol Memorial Hospital to a room, my 93 year old mother was then…read moretransported to Abingdon Health and Rehab Center at the end of March and she is still currently a patient at this facility. I have received caring help and dependable updates, (thanks Terry) since mom arrived for rehab services. Mom is very complimentary of the staff, nursing care, cleanliness of the facility, food, laundry service,and physical therapy received. She has made more progress than it was originally believed would be possible. I, like my mother, was very impressed with the extra time and effort on the part of the staff in making it possible for a visit between patients and their family on Mothers Day. The CDC guidelines were followed to make the visit safe for all participants and the staff made everyone feel welcome. I am confident this special act of kindness will be remembered by all for a long time. My uncle was in this facility a couple of years ago and he and his family were also pleased with services received during his stay. Again my thanks to all staff and employees for continuing to be caring and attentive.

They…read moreare simply understaffed and staff does not want to be there, very obvious on the long term care unit. I wished the communication between the nursing staff and the doctors had been better, it could have saved my mother's life. She needed to be sent out to the hospital and the physicians assistant should have ordered testing to diagnosis her with her symptoms. She was septic when she left the facility in the middle of the night and in just a few hours on arrival to the hospital she was in septic shock. My mom did not make it. I trusted them to take care of her!!
