Revere is a title company that initiated email correspondence with me, yet they refused all my reply emails. They sent my emails back rejected at every stage of the escrow and closing process. They created mystery charges for mailing. They did not honor the payout amount on the closing documents we signed. They withheld extra money (on top of the amount specified in the contract) for a water bill which we had already paid. They charged $62 for filling out a one-page disclosure document for the City of Cleveland. They have not returned my phone calls for several days at this point in time. I have bought and sold several houses, and never have I had such a bad experience with a title company. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I used Revere Title for my recent closing. I was a little skeptical when reading their reviews but, I went with them anyways. Everyone I worked with was great! They were responsive to all my questions and if they did not know the answer they researched it and got back to me. They worked with us every step of the way to ensure that our closing was on time. When it came down to sign the final papers they accommodated our crazy schedule and came to us for the final signing. Great job Revere Title we could not have done it without you! read more

Do NOT use this title company under any circumstances. The buyer of my deceased father's house has some sort of relationship with Revere. At the close of escrow in June 2015, there was a $10,000 holdback for a septic inspection. The contract clearly stated certain terms the buyer was to complete by Oct. 30, 2016 and Revere was instructed to immediately release the funds to my dad's estate on Oct. 31, 2016 if the buyer failed to comply with the terms. She failed, but Revere refused to release the funds as instructed. For nearly 3 weeks, they simply ignored my queries. Finally, on Nov. 18, 2016 Revere responded claiming that they received a letter from the buyer's attorney/father on Nov. 16, 2016 disputing the release of the funds. That's 16 days AFTER the deadline and Revere's refusal to comply with their contractual instructions. Revere has been holding the funds for nearly 3 years and they say they will only release it with a court order. The only way for me to get a court order is to sue and pay an attorney whereas the buyer's attorney/father would represent her for free. It comes down to me consenting to release the money to the buyer, which she is not entitled to, she breached the contract, or spend the $10,000 on attorney fees. Either way, my dad's estate would be out $10,000. The above states the facts. My opinion is that Revere colluded and conspired with the buyer to weasel $10,000 out of my dead father's estate. A title company is supposed to be neutral, impartial and unbiased. Revere Title Company doesn't even come close. Stay far away from this company unless you like headaches and aggravation. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS REQUIRE YOUR AGENT TO USE A DIFFERENT TITLE COMPANY. They are not great at their jobs, and very flippant with large amounts of money. I have two large issues with them: 1. They did not provide closing documents until the day of closing. I had no chance to review them. Then when I said I needed time to review them they were frustrated 2. I signed closing documents with agent commission of $9,200. The day of funds transfer they called and left a voicemail saying "whoops, it should have been $11,300, our bad, we're wiring the extra money to your agent". When I called back they wouldn't answer the phone (it was only 25 minutes after they called me. I followed up with my agent, and the 9200 was correct. I had quite a few problems with communication on their end and closing kept getting moved over and over again but then after closing I've been getting bills for the utilities that have gone unpaid from before the property transferred to me. I just called and spoke to T. Savage who was incredibly rude with an attitude of what do you want me to do about it? Go with another agency. This place is just a headache. read more

Very unscrupulous company that will take advantage of you every way they can. My elderly mother sold her home and the purchaser knew someone at Revere and she was told they would waive their fees and transfer the title for next to nothing. When the time came to sign off on the paperwork I made an appointment for them to meet my mother at my home so I could be present and read over the paperwork she would be signing. When I arrived home to supervise the signing I learned that they had shown up a half hour early, explained nothing to my mother as they hurriedly had her sign the paperwork, and were gone by time I arrived home. When the time came for my mother to pick up the proceeds for the sale of the home we discovered that they had charged my elderly mother close to $3,000 in fees, while the person who purchased the home and was to be responsible for all of the closing costs told me he only paid about $200. Avoid using Revere Title like the plague, their agents are not trustworthy and will bill you for every penny they can get away with! read more

Since the last review was three years ago, I thought I would try and update this. It doesn't look like things have improved any though. I recently sold our first house and I felt it was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. I definitely agree with the other reviewer that they are slow to act and are very unwilling to provide basic services such as emailing forms, etc. however, even worse than being slow and unwilling they are also a little on the incompetent side. After I finally managed to get them to send me a preliminary settlement statement, I found major errors that affected the final amount. I then spent the next two weeks going back-and-forth pointing out all the various errors and trying to get them corrected. The final kicker was that on the two days before closing, I was sent a final statement that was actually the very first preliminary statement that was full of errors. I then had to deal with someone else in the agency to get them all corrected so we could get things moving. It was like pulling teeth. Or, maybe it was like having teeth pulled, I don't know which. Basically, you should avoid this company at all costs. If you see this name appear in any of your paperwork, contact your real estate agent and beg beg beg them to change title companies. I honestly do not think they deserve the amount that they charge. read more
