Trustworthy, quality, amazing home builder!…read more We met Diana at the UVHBA Parade of Homes in 2016 when we visited Maple Shade Construction's parade home in Highland. She introduced herself as the designer of the home. After visiting many huge homes we were amazed at how much of a home feel the Maple Shade house had. We took their card just in case we ever decided to build. When we first reached out to Trulan we knew absolutely nothing about the building process. He was kind enough to meet with us and let us ask every dumb question we had. We had promised ourselves that we would interview multiple builders as it was a big decision. We met with two other home builders with great reputations (and I'm sure they would have built a wonderful home as well) but we ultimately felt more comfortable with Trulan. One detail that stood out is he promised to show us every invoice, while the other builders either hemmed and hawed around that question or downright declined. As we worked through the design and customizing process he was on top of the ball the whole time. He was very open to our suggestions and took time to educate us when we were about to make a mistake. He is meticulous in his organization and budgets and was always conscious of where we were at financially. Any time we talked about options, I never felt like he was trying to push us to make a decision that might make him more money and he would sometimes tell us a certain upgrade was probably not something he would do on his own home. As we went through the process with Trulan and Diana they were always concerned with making sure we were getting the best home possible and they both have an eye for design and putting everything together in a way that is both consistent and coherent. When I would visit the house in the works and would talk with subcontractors, I always left with the impression that they admired and respected Trulan more than other builders that they worked with. Trulan is unfailingly honest, kind, and patient. In addition to getting our home done ahead of schedule, he also came in well under budget and we ended up with a better home than we could have ever hoped for! While our house was under construction, Trulan and Diana were working on a couple of other builds, including one that was ten times our budget, yet we never felt like we were an afterthought or a lower priority. They have become two of my favorite human beings! When we first met with Trulan he told us that too many people go through the home building process and never want to do it again. He said he wanted it to be a great experience for us and it absolutely was. I tell all my friends who are considering building to use Maple Shade.

I feel very good about recommending Blue River and Jeff. Also, I don't put on many feedback comments at all, so to offer comment to Blue River ought to say something by itself! First, they are doing a current project for us and its my 3rd time using Jeff. If he wasn't great, I would have moved on to other builders. Second, the effort is always with great quality. And last, being an accountant, I'm always concerned about price. My motto has been a 'value' approach. I don't go for the cheapest price, because I don't want the cheapest quality. But 'best bang for the buck' has always been important. I've decided that Blue River is my team, and in any project, I would call them first. Super happy. The work is solid every time and I trust them being in my home. Last point, Jeff's team is a small one. He doesn't have any army of workers. So you have to build that in your expectations. Last comment?..... they clean up after themselves, each day. I would recommend them to anyone in the Utah County area. John, Provo, 2024

We just moved into our new Patterson home last week and I've been excited to write this review…read moresince we started the process in June. This is the first time we had purchased a to-be-built home so I'll touch on the things that really stood out to me. From earnest money/property offer to close, it took: 7/8 months Build time from hole dug to close: just shy of 6 months (during a pandemic and MAJOR building supply shortage.) Major setbacks: ZERO We chose Patterson to build our forever home because we found the plan that best fit all of our needs, wants,'s and plans for the future. The plan size, price, layout, upgrades, location, and property far exceeded our expectations and we were amazed to find this home in our price range in our desired location. I was concerned a lot with how much upgrades would cost and had heard horror stories with other builders about adding things. But Patterson offers many highly desirable "upgrades" as a standard such as: a wide array of cabinet colors, our location offered double furnaces and AC units standard, multiple stone/hardie board/exterior elements and custom arrangements, black or white window options, and so much more. Our home was highly customizable and we worked with an incredible company called Peridot and our own personal designer to curate the color and theme of our home. My favorite sub contractors on our home were: framing (excellent and meticulous), cabinetry (swoon-worthy and upscale looking even for standard options), flooring and tile (fast, precise, and detail oriented), plumbing (family owned, local) and electrical (fast, precise, thoughtful layout, impressive humans working for their company Zap Electric.) The Patterson realtor, Jordan Tellaroli, responded to us without delay and addressed every concern or question we had even though we realize now that we were communicating far more than average. Both my husband and I felt a friendly connection with Jordan as he worked with the super, Jaris, to make sure our home was done right the first time. Jaris, the super, was smart, saved us money in several areas by doing things smarter not harder, by being honest, and communicating respectfully with us even though the man knows more about this stuff than we do but we wanted to understand things. If I have any complaint it's that the countertop and door/door hardware subs did the most damage to our home during construction. (Repaired later by Patterson.) And that the painters could have been more thorough. I'm excited that we have a one-year warranty and can utilize it through an online portal whenever needed throughout our year. I feel that anything structural will not need to be addressed because this is a quality home. I'm grateful for that and feel confident that this home is a very special and well-built home by an honest company working with reliable contractors.

IWC evaluated the impact of the new soffit and facia on the integrity of the roof and patched the roof at a fair price, cleaned up and did the job quickly and professionally. In fall of 2021 a resident advised us of a leak in their apartment after a hard rain. I called Braden with IWC, he answered the call even though he was on vacation!
