Michelle was extremely helpful & available during the planning process. Her staff was pleasant, attentive, helpful and, most importantly friendly during the event. The food was incredibly delicious. Almost all of the guests came up to me at least once to tell me how wonderful the food was and how fantastic the staff was. I planned this party from 2 hours away & found Rettew's doing a Google search. What a lucky find for me, my daughter & her husband and their guests. On July 15th, 2023, we celebrated my mom's 100th birthday with a sit down dinner for 200 guests from all across the United States - I chose Rettew's Catering to cater the event....the perfect decision. In my prior career, I handled event planning for the United Nations in East Africa so I know the importance of being organized, paying attention to every detail, and choosing a menu that will please 200 guests (with varied dietary needs) - without question, Rettew's Catering nailed it! This party took months in planning and Rettew's was there every step of the way. Yesterday's party could not have gone better - the food was fantastic and the staff was second to none. Rettew's recently catered my daughter's outdoor wedding and we were extremely pleased! From the delicious appetizers to the scrumptious food stations to the excellent bartender, they were professional, efficient, attentive, and most of all very friendly. Because of COVID, my daughter and fiancé were not able to do a tasting before the wedding so we relied on their excellent reputation. And we were not disappointed! Rettews came to us as an 'approved' vendor at the venue we chose for our wedding. The food was outstanding, the service was professional, and we'd highly recommend them. We had appetizers served while we took pictures and the pork belly was our absolute favorite and the baked brie was a close second. They were both fan favorites!!! We had the filet and porcini ravioli for dinner. I was a little nervous as the majority of the guests (20) picked the filet as far as the doneness. They catered to my dad and I liking it a little more red than the rest of the bunch. It was perfect and guests were complimenting the flavor and tenderness. I did taste the ravioli and they were exceptional (and I'm a hard critic, coming from a giant Italian family). Rettew's catered my wedding on July 13th at the Landis Valley Museum in Lancaster and they offered exceptional service. Jennifer was excellent with communication & staying within our budget throughout the entire planning process. The tasting session we had was phenomenal - the food is fabulous! We bought fried chicken from Rettew's for our daughters commencement party. It was wonderful. They give you an insulated container that kept the chicken warm and moist for over 5 hours. The staff was also wonderful to work with. read more

We were so lucky to have Rettews as our caterer on our wedding day. I have to preface by saying I spent five years working in the catering industry bartending weddings, so my expectations were high. I know how good things can go, and how bad they can end up sometimes. I guess the biggest compliment I can offer is that on the wedding day itself, I never noticed anything that that could be a potential blemish. The food was outstanding (we did buffet), my father came up to me at one point and said, "The food is excellent, everything is excellent!" And my mother came up to me and said how much she loved that "everything was so fresh and healthy." The beef brisket carving station was a huge hit. The bartenders were great. The staff was friendly, smiling, attentive and on top of everything. The place looked amazing. People loved the appetizers. Honestly, everything exceeded our expectations. Jennifer was amazing to work with during the planning process. She implemented our ideas on the salad and one of the appetizers, even though it wasn't what they normally do. We attended one of their invited tastings and that was a great way to get a feel for the quality of the food. Honestly they made everything so smooth and easy.
