They have moved and the climbing portion of this is tiny - one climbing wall, one bouldering wall. I'm not the best climber but I enjoy it and have my own gear. Walking in there as both not a child or professional climber with my own stuff, it was incredibly awkward. The staff guy was pretty uncomfortable too. He gave us the "tour" and didn't mention any restrictions on belaying and saw the ATC in my hand but when we went to top rope he came over and scolded us about not having asked him and getting approved as if I was supposed to know. Then he mentioned that "plenty of their climbers have equipment too, so..." ...ok? After that little interaction, the noisiness, the complete lack of other climbers except a bunch of children coming over for a single climb - it just wasn't fun.

Will be back! So bringing my brother back, we thought we'd be able to have an instructor and apparently you have to call 24hrs ahead of time to book one. It was never told to us prior but we said oh well, lets just lett them climb. Totally different expperience. The kids said theyd rather had gone to laser tag. 80$, so $20 per kid. Just a fyi update.

You can tell she cares, and that made a great first impression. The zoo itself is small and has a certain charm, especially with how close you can get to the animals. But as we walked through, it became hard to ignore some concerns. Several enclosures appeared to need immediate attention, and a number of animals seemed distressed--most noticeably the bears, who paced back and forth repeatedly. It left us with a heavy feeling. While the zoo has potential and some genuinely caring staff, it also feels like the animals deserve more space, better conditions, and a higher level of care. Hoping improvements are made, because these animals deserve environments where they can truly thrive.

There's a large playground, the Amarillo Botanical Garden next door and a 1 mile loop around the pond which made it easy to do my runs. I was warned about the geese infestation and the possibility of geese poop on the trail. I didn't see any while I was visiting, but I thought that was worth noting. There's an extended part of the trail but you have to cross traffic for it, so the one mile loop worked best for me. A lot of people were walking the trail through my three visits, a school bus was there with kids in the playground and on Saturday plenty of people were fishing in the pond. A really great and well maintained park!

This park is near the Don Harrington Discovery center and they had a fairly large tortoise living on the outside premises. It was neat. I would like to come back to visit that museum. All-in-all .... This park was the best part of Amarillo on this stop through.

One of the combinations wasn't reset by accident, so we ended up opening a clue before we were supposed to. That did derail our game and made it harder to solve. Overall, it was an enjoyable time. Aside from the game not being reset right, the price was just insane! There are/were other escape rooms that are more cost effective.

It is filled with gravel or small Pebbles and there is a partial fence around it. There's lots of beautiful green grass for running and playing ball and walking dogs and some pretty trees to offer shade when they're full of leaves. We saw lots of families here when we brought the kids here to play. There is a church next door and a school right across the street so it feels like a perfectly safe place to bring the kids to play.
