So I personally would not recommend this and I think management needs to definitely revisit how their text message and call service is being handled. I've met a few of the staff and I do think they are very kind and nice so I don't think they were intentionally ignoring me but at the same time I'm not gonna keep going out of my way to try and get in contact with them. It's also very small and has a small assortment of equipment. So if you're going during peak times, I don't think you'd be able to get in on the equipment that you need. It's also really not in great shape. I had this membership through my insurance we subsidize the cost, which was great, but I personally don't think the equipment both due to the upkeep and the selection really match their usual price.

Small Group with Julie is challenging and more of an individual training than one of the Body Pump or Body Combat classes. She makes sure your form is correct and you are using the correct amount of weight which is difficult to do in a larger class. So less chance of being injured. Classes are geared more to the non-working members so it is not easy to try them.

I've been coming here for about three months. I've also had a few uncomfortable interactions with male members, including men trying to rearrange equipment while I was still using it. The gym could also be cleaner, particularly the bathrooms and class areas. The equipment is well maintained and they are continually adding and updating things throughout the year. The classes are phenomenal and the gym offers a wide variety. Beth, Ian, and Heather are some of my favorite instructors- if you get a chance to take one of their classes- do it! The instructors are patient and encouraging, while they push you to get the most out of yourself and the workouts. *** Covid-19 update *** Wow! The gym has gone above and beyond during this trying time. During lockdown, they live-streamed classes everyday. When Murphy allowed groups of 25 outdoors they started classes at the park and then transitioned to the gym parking lot. A large tent was added to bring gym equipment outside while providing their normal class schedule. The gym reopened inside and the covid protocols are met, providing a safe space to workout in. Since group classes cannot exceed ten indoors (right now), the gym fitted the large tent outside with turf and heaters in order to provide its members with a safe alternative. NitroFlex continues to go out of its way for their members and the community! Check this place out- you won't be disappointed.

I have demanded that my card info be taken from their files for years and they have PROMISED me every time I ask them to that it will be handled. I have been charged membership fees when I don't belong there, maintenance fees when I believed I hadn't had a card on file with them in years, and I have even been charged the fee for a random person buying a protein shake while I was in a completely different state. I have photo evidence of literally all of this. And the cherry on top? In the past I have been able to contact the owner to get these wrongful billings resolved. At the moment I am pursuing legal action because I have had hundreds of dollars wrongfully stolen from me at this point. This was literally my favorite gym ever, and they have done nothing but treat me like garbage. The final straw was me reaching out to the owner about another wrongful billing. He ghosted me for a week, and when I sent a follow up text I saw that I was blocked. Update: Mychael responded to my first review claiming that he does not contact anyone via this email. Lake Hopatcong is totally no nonsense. Old school weights and equipment. A bit snug if it is a little crowded but gets the job done. No real locker room and no showers. Rockaway is the largest of the three. A bit newer equipment and more spread out. This is the location I visit the most as I go after work, never feel cramped in there. No formal locker room, but there are lockers on the main floor. There are 3 changing rooms and 1 shower room... I can't imagine that being a bit hectic for the before work crowd. Stanhope is the newest location. a bit smalller than Rockaway, but a nice layout. All newer equipment, clean, nice layout. Only been there a handful of times. This location has a formal locker room, with separate changing room and 3 shower stalls in the mens locker room. Cant speak for the womens locker room. Overall, Stanhope is a very nice spot. My only gripe, and it is with all 3 locations are the treadmills. Lake Hopatcong, can barely get them to operate. Rockaway, 1 is broken, 1 has a deck that isn't level and is broken, the rest are ok. Stanhope has the newest ones, but of the 8, 5 had slipping belts that make it dangerous to walk on, let alone try to run or jog, one is super noisy. I get it, these gyms are geared more towards lifting weights and body building, not oblivious to that. A day of maintenance on the treadmills would get 5 stars. Aside from the treadmills, I really like all 3 locations.
