I looked into Alchemist based on the fact they have solid, high quality jewelry and good reviews. Aileen's track record looks legitimate so I decided to take the dive. My husband running a half marathon brought us to Bismarck, and I thought it was ideal timing to go get my piercings while he decompressed form the race. They will take appointments but since it was 10 AM, I figured the wait for a walk-in wouldn't take long. I was promptly greeted by a nice fellow at the counter and soon met Aileen. She was quick to tell me what would or wouldn't work from my options. She was so professional, yet, engaging and funny. I filled out my paperwork and shuffled to her backroom. I got the spots for the earrings traced on my ears -- perfect placement and exactly what i was going for. After laying down, Aileen kept me relaxed and slipped the earrings in. Yes, it hurt -- but it's a piercing, guys, so that's expected of course! I have zero complaints about my experience and may return if i have a tattoo in my near future. This was one of the most professional and clean tattoo/piercing places I have been. And Aileen made me happy and said how good the end product was -- ego booster! Well done Alchemist team!

The technician put in the earrings, so I never actually held them or saw them. After five days my ears started itching and feeling ugly. When I took out the two earrings, I found that the backs (and the part that actually goes into your ear) are titanium to which I have a sensitivity. $500 for two small earrings and they won't give me a refund or give me the gold backs I asked for. Sadly, this is dishonest from an otherwise great place and I can't recommend them.

I went in for a double tragus piercing, and was given advice and recommendations on how to go about it. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted in a very quick, pretty comfortable manner. Ashley was nice and very professional. The piercing service itself was a little more costly than I thought it would be but I was happy to pay the price. Its been over a week and my piercing feels good. I have had zero problems. I've visited two other shops before, but I think that I will take my business here for my future services. Update: Decided to go back because ai was itching for a new piercing that I've been wanting to get. Always as a walk in, but never treated like I'm in the way or should have made an appointment. Got my Tragus piercing looked at after getting a shopping basket caught on it at work. One of the two piercing holes in the double Tragus ended up getting healed over and She had to pop it back through. Would I trust another artist to tend to my piercings? No. Ashley seems like she knows what she's doing and wants your piercings to look the best. This time I went in for a Vertical Labret. Best decision ever. We stumbled a bit on the placement but we had other ladies come in for second views and opinions. I wasn't treated poorly after pointing out that I didn't thing something was very straight or in line with my face (which I have had happen before). I definitely recommend going here!
