Only to be never seen by the doctor only PA she has tried stuff for infection ..and now this last time again still not seeing the doctor. She wanted to get a mri because did not get one before surgery and some cream . Wanted to update and edit since I went back and visited the summary which was a complete untruthful statement..Have had throat cancer with no voice box so I record everything for my wife to hear just easier that way and it sure doesn't match our recording nor did she not put the mri and prescription order in like we discussed they have been calling and texting After looking at reviews ran across a review not even 13 days ago of the same Dr. guess I'm not the only one recently with problems seems to be a trend

I was able to work with most of the staff who were extremely professional and knowledgeable about the nature of my injury and how to recover my mobility and strength. Joe Mitrzyk became my main physical therapist. I am in awe of how much I regained from his support. He has, like all the staff there, a deep understanding of anatomy, pre and post injury repair therapy as well as the ability to establish with their patients, a wellness plan for beyond therapy sessions. I had been through previous physical therapy for this shoulder so I am able to compare the results and see significant improvement and strength this time. The atmosphere in the O2 fitness center is great! Equipment is well maintained. Staff are positive and supportive across the whole center. I am sad my PT had to end but I have so many things to take away with me like targeted exercises from Joe to maintain this recovery. Thanks everybody for doing what you do, everyday helping people move and think Better in their lives!

My first visit with Melissa Altman she listened, took my concerns seriously, and made sure that I got to ask any questions I had. My second visit was just as great and I was extremely satisfied with the lab results and the treatment plan prescribed. The rest of the office staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had to bring my toddler with me and he is all over the place and they were so understanding and tolerant of him. They accommodated my son and me and I am so grateful. For a medical center that has signs posted on their front door claiming they are taking precautions against COVID, I was alarmed the office was not promoting mask use. I thought this misfortune would end at the door, yet when Melissa Altman RN then met me for my appointment and was also not wearing one at all, she told me I could take mine off if it made me feel comfortable which obviously it did not and she didn't put on a mask to meet my comfort level displayed. I can't proceed with a medical treatment by professionals that are not even taking the virus seriously. Otherwise I think I would've continued with Merge Medical.

If recovering from a serious sports related injury is your priority, look no further. Carolina…read morePhysical Therapy and Sports Medicine is your best choice by far. I seriously injured my left hamstring during a marathon, which required an ultra-specialized surgery to reattach and repair. Prior to the surgery I phone-interviewed and researched physical therapy provider options. I wanted a no-nonsense, respectful philosophical approach to guide my recovery activities. I spoke with the Center's director, Erin. It was clear that we were aligned here; she included a recommendation that I start physical therapy prior to the surgery, to strengthen my leg and prepare it for rehabilitation. As I had never used crutches prior to the surgery, there was also practice assistance there too! So I began my relationship with Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine's therapeutic staff, consisting of Erin, Joe, and Liz, and Amber, as their able assistant. My pre-surgery strengthening exercises included not only leg strengthening, but also hip and core and balancing and exercises. My post surgery rehabilitation plan was phased over the course of several months, and included the first phase which included quad sets, ankle pumps, abdominal isometrics, and upper body cardiovascular exercise to maintain my fitness level. Phase two weaned me from crutches and included stationary bike exercise, balance drills, gait training, hip and core strengthening. Phase three included a gradual return to light running drills, impact drills, elliptical machine use, in addition to the exercises in Phase two. Phase four included strengthening drills, higher velocity training, and a return to running. As a result their guidance, I was able to progress through the recovery protocol well ahead of schedule, and have been able to run 9 miles straight without pain in less than four months. In addition, the core and hip strengthening exercises have also improved my running mechanics. Erin, Joe, and Liz and extremely knowledgeable clinicians, and their pleasant, straightforward approach with me was aided by the atmosphere of the Center, which was always incredibly positive. It is clear that this team enjoys their work and enjoys working together. A real difference maker!

Before scheduling, I was told my records needed to be reviewed first, which I understood and sent over. I initially misspelled the email address but corrected it shortly after. During my follow-up phone call with Stacey, I was trying to better understand why I was being referred elsewhere instead of scheduling directly for imaging. Unfortunately, the conversation became unnecessarily tense and dismissive. I felt spoken to in a passive-aggressive and condescending manner while asking questions about the process. I understand medical offices are busy and stressful environments, but professionalism and patience matter, especially when patients are already confused or dealing with health concerns. People make mistakes, ask questions, and need clarification. The way staff communicate can greatly impact someone's experience. I hope the practice takes patient communication seriously moving forward, because no patient should leave a call feeling belittled for trying to understand their care process.
