My Star therapist, Lindsay has absolutely pushed me past my point of comfort, but after only a few appointments, I have seen improvement! She clearly has a lot of knowledge and knows just how much pressure to apply. The most important part is convincing me to come back. The friendly and supportive attitude from not only the therapist and team members , but other patients suffering along with me have made a huge impact on me. I actually look forward to the camaraderie while stretching beyond my comfort zone. I cannot say enough about Star Physical Therapy!

The therapy staff were No.1 and not a moment of therapy time was wasted. The facility was exceptionally clean and maintained. Care was the utmost highest level, much better than I expected. (I had 5 separate dressings covering surgical work requiring maintenance daily. I never went a day without my needs being met!) Food was top notch for an institutional facility. Personal menu choices for 3 meals a day, and a supplemental menu to choose from in case the main menu choices weren't to your fancy. I would highly recommend Life Care Center of Blount County to anyone and everyone who requiring the services and care offered at this establishment. I will return here myself the next time I have the need!

Beautiful building and grounds that are very well maintained. The food is good, although there…read moreseemed to be little regard for scheduling meals. Food comes when it comes. Physical Therapy did a good job, but was a bit haphazard in their scheduling. We had a multidisciplinary meeting on our second day in which they asked about preferences, scheduling, goals, and other personalized items. None of these seemed to make it to my father's routine. Each time I mentioned one of these items, the person involved claimed no one ever told them. Nursing care was horrendous. There are a few, very patient oriented CNAs who were much appreciated and carried most of the patient care burden. The nurses taking care of my father were completely uninformed, mostly disinterested, and bordering on incompetent. They seemed to have no idea what had happened the previous shift. It is as though they either don't write patient care notes, or they don't bother to read them. My father had a complication from a nursing procedure and had to be returned to the hospital for surgery. After his recovery from surgery, he made the decision not to return and enter hospice care. If there are any medical issues with your loved one, I would consider other facilities and not be swayed by the beautiful building and grounds. If you are in need of a short rehab stay and are able to manage your own needs, its a great place.

After 6 months with a mystery painful illness, 5…read more different doctors and several tests with no clear diagnosis, I was in pain and unable to move my body,  I was referred to Dr. Hoar who listened to my needs and kept an open mind to find possible ways to heal my body.   I wasn't able to move,  drive, or even sleep on my back,  and I needed assistance from family members to move for months.   Since the first adjustment Dr. Hoar helped me recover and explained the whole process to me.  After just a few weeks of treatment I'm now able to walk more,  sleep on my back and on my side, and I'm starting to recover my body strength.  The treatment is not finished yet, but I feel confident that I will be much better soon.   This office has become a place where I can find friendly and professional staff assisting me with my recovery, they have the necessary tools from x ray machines, massage therapists and  therapists assistants to tailor the treatment to your needs. Thank you Dr. Hoar and all your staff for the devotion you put into finding a solution to my mystery case.
