She did absolutely everything in her power to ensure that I was getting the most from each meeting and tailored all of the resources to my specific needs. Ever since I was 17 years old I have dealt with debilitating cramps due to my menstrual cycle. On day one of my periods, I would have to cancel work visits and stay laying down in the fetal position due to the pain; I even would spend my time sitting on the toilet "pushing" like I was giving birth. It's not a fun experience and this would happen EVERY month. Fast forward to 25 years old and trying every diet in the book (I must add that I would never get on birth control because I don't believe in suppressing something that God designed us women to do naturally). I met Nichol through our CrossFit gym and she became a close friend in my life. She began studying women's health and sharing her knowledge with others. She would post Instagram and Facebook messages about painful periods being abnormal. I couldn't agree more and was nervous that my abnormal periods would be the cause of infertility or other health issues in the future, so I wanted to work with her. LET ME PREACH SOMETHING FOR A MINUTE....getting the information Nichol gave me didn't only save me the painful days every month but now I truly understand my body. WHAT? A women understanding her own body? Sounds crazy right? She made it super simple too. We would have hour long sessions (sometimes longer because we can talk each other's ears off) that included mind blowing information about tracking your monthly cycle appropriately. She would also recommend the proper products and where to buy them. I'd also receive an email with all the information we talked about and some goals to set until our next meeting. It was so simple to change my menstrual cycle with how she structured our meetings. Not only have her protocols caused me to EAT MORE and MAINTAIN my weight, but it's caused me to understand my "mood swings" and embrace them. When I started to understand that certain times of the month caused you to be more cheerful then others, or more drowsy then others, I was able to finally allow myself to rest. I not only began to rest more physically but mentally. Ladies! If you have struggled with painful/abnormal periods or you're tired of being called "crazy," it's time to work with Nichol. I can say that I no longer take 1600 mg of ibuprofen on day one of my period anymore and I am almost completely asymptomatic, but now I am also confident in my moods. I can stop second guessing myself, that in itself is BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Nichol for being an AMAZING friend and for this life changing information.

This is one that will certainly alter your life for the better! Even if you are already eating what would be considered a healthful diet, there is still more to learn through the SuperHuman Transformation program. Paul Tijerina walks you through everything in a concise manner. He takes the time to continue answering questions and offering strategies for how to incorporate optimal eating and living habits. He realizes that this is a process which could take time so he takes everything at a pace that you are comfortable with. Paul understands that this is your own personal journey so he will never impose something on you. He will guide you as a friend because he cares deeply for all people (he truly does!). Paul is extremely positive and down to earth. He understands what it is like to be human and he'll meet you wherever you are while striving to bring you to newer levels of optimal health and wellness but in Paul's eyes, everyone is a superhuman simply for being! Nothing else matters. When I started the program, I was already eating mostly natural food. I was even getting all of the protein required for someone who exercises regularly. I allowed a little bit of wiggle room to be able to eat anything that I wanted, at times, since it is very important to be flexible and not too restrictive! I had heard really good things about the SuperHuman Transformation program so I was excited to pay Paul a visit with the goal of dialing in my nutrition. Little did I know that what was offered would make things so much better! I was able to improve digestion which is so important for nutrient absorption. I am eating more nutrient rich food which keeps me feeling satisfied. This does not mean eating a whole lot of vegetables and salad, by the way. He incorporates very satisfying food that keeps cravings at bay: simplicity is the key. Regardless of your current state of affairs, anyone can feel better upon implementing some aspect of this program. The adjustments don't always feel quite right at the start but they become effortless over time. It's hard to believe that what once required some thought and effort are now not only easy, but preferred - you'll want to do it! I love simplicity, and things have been simpler when living more optimally. I am able to make it through the day with ease while feeling better and enjoying great food! Give it a try and observe the changes!

The SHT was my first experience with a health coach of any kind. Prior to signing up, I had been…read moreathletic all my life. I had my experience with bodybuilding and very restrictive diets that ultimately were not sustainable. I was successful in the past, but as I turned 30, it was becoming more difficult to dial in my overall health. Then just like that, I became a Father. It was the proudest day of my life. With this, came increased stress, poor sleep, increased weigh gain and a lack of ambition to get back in the gym. It took a few months for me to notice. When I did, I knew I would need help. I'm not normally the type to go to others for help. I made it through 30 years of my life doing it by myself, why would I need help now? Unfortunately, I was running out of options. I quickly realized my old ways were unsustainable due to the fact they were too strict and not practical (high protein, low carb). I heard about the SHT through word of mouth at CrossFit Combine. They mentioned Paul by name and everyone knew him as the guy you go to if you're serious about your health. I took a leap of faith and did it. Right off the bat, Paul did an awesome job of getting to know me and helping me feel comfortable with the idea of being coached. He made it easy. From the beginning, I was given a bunch of resources to assist me in obtaining the information that defines the SHT lifestyle. I learned what foods we should be eating and why, how to read labels when shopping, how to be metabolically flexible and how to actually enjoy being healthy. The whole idea was to eat REAL FOOD and make it a priority above all else. It became apparent that this sort of "diet path" was sustainable. The program promotes more than just how you eat, though. It promotes connection with the earth, creating good habits with sleep and helping you overcome the struggles that come with trying new things you may not be comfortable with. My goals when coming to Paul were to lose weight to help me become a better Father, Husband and Firefighter. I also wanted to increase my ability to be mindful and learn to meditate. I lost 10 lbs in just 3 months, all while clearly gaining muscle. I've implemented a daily meditation routine that is simple and effective for me. I've adopted journaling as a good way for me to help me set my intentions and achieve new goals. Most of all, I feel amazing. I feel confident, energized and enthusiastic. I know the SHT lifestyle is easily sustainable. I don't feel as if I'm on a diet that is going to cause me to burnout. I feel like I've been given all the tools I need to lead a healthy lifestyle and I can easily maintain this for a lifetime. I'd recommend this program to anyone. It has been easy to learn and implement. Paul T. has been an amazing coach, mentor, resource and friend. He made himself completely available to me anytime I needed help or had questions. I felt like I could always go to him. I knew from the get go I was making a good decision to work with him. By the end of our 3 months working together, that proved to be correct. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Paul and the SHT. Thanks, Paul!
